How to put MVs or videos in Ipod

Hello everyone.
I just got a 30GB ipod video and im not sure how to use it. I put in all my songs and everything but I'm not so sure how to put music videos or videos into my ipod. I tried putting a music video i have but it doesnt show up so I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone help?

Proper formats are as follows:
H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
There are several converters to get the files in the proper format-google for them.
Ripping commercial DVD's requires software that breaks the encryption. On windows-it is pay for software. Search for it, decide how much you want to spend.
On Mac, it is free. Handbrake rips/reencodes DVD's in one step. Mactheripper just breaks the encryption and rips it to your drive. Again, google for it.

  • Is Putting I-Tune videos on Ipod  Hard?

How difficult is this? I dont think Im gonna try right away with putting any of my own yet.Cause from reading most of these threads it sounds hard.Especialy for Windows computer.Am I gonna have to buy Quicktime Pro or something else to put on my ipod which I have not have yet but should get by the 26th.Are the videos from I-tunes already converted to be put on the Ipod? After I have had it awhile maybe then I will try one of my own.But not unitll I read enough about it.Im still a novice at all this stuff.Thank-You

It's not that difficult, and you don't have to get QT Pro at all. If you already have it, then you might want to use its "Video to iPod" functionality, but it looks like you don't have it already so ... there are a lot of 3rd-party apps that will make your vids iPod-compatible, most of them being free. Just have a look at Proper Converting Apps To Use For PC Users... ...

  • I dont know how to convert movies or videos into iPod form.

Okay heres the deal, I have a fifth generation iPod Video and it is as up-to-date as possible. But I dont know how to change videos or movies to iPod format. I also have QuickTime PRO. Someone please help!
    Thank-you for your time.

Quicktime, Quicktime Pro and iTunes don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
See:iPod plays video but not audio.
You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.
See this for help: Guide to converting video for iPod (Mac/Windows).

  • How to transfer camara roll videos between ipods for working on iMovie?

I would like to share homemade videos between 6 ipods. We are using them for a school project. I have already tried using Itunes, dropbox... and it doesn't work.
I know how to copy videos to my computer and I also know how to add them using iTunes.
The point is that I need to share videos between ipods, and be able to work on iMovie using those videos. For example, I´m working on a project using 6 different iPod. When we are finish recording the videos, we want to transfer all of them to one Device. Is that possible? How?
    Thank you,

I came across this solution:  http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC531ZM/A
Is there any way to do it?

  • I need help figuring out how to put pics over video

How do I put pictures over video while keeping the audio from the video? I am using Premiere Elements 9.

Do you want the pictures to fill your video frame or do you want them smaller than the video frame so that the video shows behind them?
Have a look at my sample "Add Motion Behind Your Slideshow" sample and see if that's what you're trying to do.
    http://muvipix.com/cooltricks.php
In any event, you put the video on one video track and the photos on a track above it, basically.
There's much more to explain, but before we get too deeply into that, we need to know exactly what you're trying to do. Can you link us to a YouTube video example?

  • Putting Digital Camera Videos onto Ipod?

Is this possible? And if so how do I do it? I was told I'd need to convert them, but I haven't the slightest clue how.
I'm using a Mac with a 160 Gig iPod classic

If it's a digital camcorder you are talking about, it will be a little more difficult to do what you want to do. But if you're just talking about a digital camera which has a video recording function in it, it should be a lot easier.
First you have to check the file format (file name extension), i.e. is it .avi , .mpg , or anything else. Assuming you may not be able to see it right on the file name iteself (because sometimes the extensions are hidden from view). If you can't see the extension, just ctrl-click the file which you imported from your camera to your mac, click "Get Info", you can either read the extension under "Name & Extension", or just read the file format (kind) under "General" where it says what "kind" of a file it is.
As far as I know, most DC's record .avi videos. You could either use Quick Time Pro (which costs a little of your money, or if you have Pro applications like Logic or Final Cut Studio, it is free). Even if the file is not AVI, you can still use Quick Time Pro for the conversion, as long as it's not .wmv (which you will need to buy a plug-in), or anything extremely peculiar. Open the video file with QT Pro, and go to File>Export, then choose Movie to iPod. And there's your converted video file which you can import into iTunes. (I'm not sure if a regular Quick Time Player, which is free and should already be on your mac, has the Export function as well, because I have the Pro for a long time and forget what the regular version is like).
The good thing about QT Pro is that you can do some simple editing to your video, i.e. cut, copy and paste a specified portion of the video. And these functions are pretty useful on the most basic level.
If you don't want to spend money on Quick Time Pro, or if the file format is something that QT Pro can't convert or even open, here's what you can do. Let say the file extension is .xyz, you can use Google, or whatever search engine you use, and search for "convert .xyz to iPod" or something like that. There are bound to be a few free software, or free trials, that you can download. Try those.
There. That's about everything you need to know for converting videos into iPod formats.

  • How to put old apps on my ipod touch?

    I am so irritated!
I kept getting the same error message when trying to download apps, that I needed to upgrade my operating system.
I just want to get Netflix, Hulu, and Google Chrome on my ipod touch.
I previously had Netflix and Google, before I restored it.
There was no message that said I would not be able to put the apps that were previously working, back on my ipod touch.
An IT person at Netflix said I should look on my computer to see if some of the memory on my ipod got saved on the computer.
    How can I do this?
How do I make my expensive Apple product, that is not that old, work?
Even though Apple is going to lose it's customers as they all begin to run into this problem.  Stupid Apple. I will never by another one again!!!
Sorry if this is not greatly explained. I am not a horribly tech savvy person. Mine is an "MC" model.

As I said, please tell us what you can buy in electronics where you will not run into the same problem?
If you do go the Android route (Android and upgrade do not go well together at all) be sure that you buy an external drive and BACKUP YOUR DATA, MUSIC, VIDEO, and ALL OF YOUR APPS. You will eventually run into the same problem and you want to make sure you have access to older versions of the app. The Android world is more wide open and you may be able to find older versions somewhere on the net and be able to download it but because that world is wide open you then take a risk of putting malware on your device.

  • Putting non-purchased videos on ipod

I have a Mac, and i have videos already on my computer before i bought my ipod. Can i put videos which haven't been purchased from itunes onto my ipod??
    Cheers

hey, i dont have a mac, i have windows. would iSquint still work on my computer? if it does, could you email it to me also, that would help a lot. i used quicktime pro, and when it goes to my ipod, video doesn't show up, only the sound. so it would be real helpful if you could give me iSquint. If anybody else has a program they could send to me that would work on Windows that would be great. my e mail is [email protected]
    Thanks

  • With New 7.0 how to put movies from Library into iPod??

    Help Please.
I now have 7.0 and usually I drag and drop movies into my ipod from itunes library. I have several short movies already in the ipod and it seems if I want to add more, the ones that are in will be taken out and replaced with the new one. I changed my orriginal movies to m4p and did not keep them in the library, so I think I will lose them when I try to add.
The only way I can think of to do it is to revert back to 6.3, put in the movie and then update again.
Is there any way I can keep my movies in the ipod and add more without losing them?? Any ideas??
    many thanks Chrisie

additional info: I found some hint that the iPad can't take just any old movie format, so I used "Convert to format for iPad", an option i had never seen on iTunes on my imac before. But sadly, even the .m4v format of the movie will not show up on the iPad under iTunes nor under iMovie.
I can certainly take an iPad iMovie trailer to the iMac if I 'finish' it, but it is a final a product, so i would have to break it up into all the little sections again.
So I still cannot seem to move a movie file to the iPad iMovie edit window. All my 'finished' iMovies show up under "movies" on the iPad, but never under the iMovie edit window. Hope that's clear.
I want to use those new trailers with my home video.
    NEWEST Update, still no joy
I found this tech article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4792 that says i can move an iMovie from iOS to iMovie on my Mac. I followed the steps exactly, but iMovie on teh Mac does not recognize the iMovie Trailer, so the Import button stays grayed out.
    so close.

  • I would like to know how to put a karaoke video on Final Cut Pro and then put my voice (singing) over it?

I had bad experience with YouTube tutorials because it's hard to find the right tutorial video that applies to my enquiries, and I have to wait until the right time till the YouTuber gets to the point, and then I have to go back to find the exact spot which I need to see to learn what I want to know how to do.

See, that's what I was getting at -- how basic of a step-by-step instruction did you need?  It sounds like you've never actually used the program.
My first suggestion for you is to look at the "More Like This" list on the right side of this page.  You'll see similar posts, even ones specific to karaoke.  Read those, and see if your question is answered.  One person used Garage Band.  Maybe that will work better for you than FCP.
As for step-by-step instruction, it's basically place your karaoke video on one track, then add your voice file to an audio track underneath it.
