You will sign in using your My Verizon login information, and sync the Settings and Favorites to your new device. However, if your Favorites are on a different mobile number, you will have to manually enter in the information/ settings. I still encourage you to use the website to set everything up as you like, in case you need to change devices in the future.

Create a parent folder on your computer to store the named folders of photos that you want transferred to your iPhone. Under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select the parent folder. All named folders of photos within will be transferred to your iPhone as separate folders or albums.
Regarding your 2nd question, this should be easy. Your contacts should be available on your computer with or without an iPhone or any cell phone, which can be lost or stolen.
Although contacts are included with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process, not a good idea to depend on this either since the iPhone backup includes a significant amount of other data. If you're talking about music and movies an i-device was not designed for unique storage of media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing music and movies is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred from a device to a computer.

Well the only way I know how to put ANYTHING on there is ZOON and ZOON DOES NOT HAVE AN OPTION IN IT FOR EBOOKS THAT I CAN SEE.
How is "IN THE STANDARD WAY" supposed to be of any use or help to me whatsoever when STANDARD WAY FOR EBOOKS IS NOT EVIDENT TO ME???

sorry this might be a very basic question, but i jsut cant figure out how to put a pciture on my photo. just dragging from an outside window into itunes iphone area won't work. i have a jpg and it says this type of media cannot be played on the device. i want to use this picture as a background but jsut cant put it on the device. i think with iphoto i might be able to, but i don't have iphoto, only the default apps that came with mac mini (and for some reason i thoguht i was supposed to get iphoto with ilife but i dont have it).

with your iphone connected to your computer, select the iphone under "devices". you should see a "photos" tab, and from there, you can designate a folder you want to sync with the phone. probably easiest to creat a new folder, and point to that one. place the photos you want in that folder, and sync!

Hi! This is my very first post on Arch forums.
I'm wondering about how do you read your favorite feeds? Which software do you use and why (what kind of features).
I'm more interested in finding a little software that uses the system tray.
Yet I'm also curious about just how does, those who utilize RSS, do it.
Personally I've used YARSSR, which is exactly what I want, except for few problems..
On Ubuntu it used to be as easy as make, make install (having build-essenial installed). On Debian 4.0 stable it is in the stable repos, so it was even easier. On Arch it's not in any of the repos nor AUR and make, make install didn't work:

I'd love to understand what's going on. How to install it right.
Anyhow, it's far from perfect anyway. It's the single thing that is not working so perfectly on my Debian as it should. Uses way too much CPU, sometimes stays trying to update and never does update nor allow forced updates, no quitting, etc..
I also use Google Reader, which is great to read many feeds and manage them, etc.
All I want is a little applet (maybe GNOME applet?) that gives me quick glimpse of my top favorite feeds, without using my browser nor launching a full-functional aggregator.

i'd prefer a cli frontend, web front would be bonus (river of news style).
snownews is good, just needs a few tweaks, some ui ones, and the main one being:
often i dont get to read news for a few days straight, so i'd like something i can put in cron and it'll update, and log the news for a few days straight, so when i get back it's all there. this generally limits me to one of the web clients, i dont know any desktop apps that do this.
i might write up an app to do this someday
as for your yassr problem, pacman -S gnome-perl?

Any tricks, how to put addresses in the address in contacts in the phone book. No matter what I try I always get the message: No results found offline.
- If you have downloaded the country map, you shouldn't need to be online !
I can see some of my contacts on map, If I take out the zip code in the address !

Hi hi, I only want to use existing address in contacts in phone book.
I did some long tests last night. And the results are these: I have to delete the post code from every single contacts, without postcode I can easily use the address for the gps in N8 ! Its a bit strange. If Im not clear enough, I want to be able to drive to contacts in phone book.

Hello! I know I got a bit of a throwback bb, but I am using it until I can upgrade to a new phone on sprint.
So, I am barely learning about this bb, so any help or cool uploads and apps I need to add... Please let me know.
Now I got this app, that will supposedly let me play music files. However, i cannot seem to figure out how to put any files on here when I connect my bb to my computer. When I initially connect the usb it will be like BB connection detected, but it doesn't show a folder or anything...

I create a MIDlet that can communicate to a servlet and this servlet returns some values(taken from the database) to the MIDlet.Now my servlet is in the local Machine and I test the MIDlet using the WirelessToolKit.
But In Real Life, How a mobile phone access my MIDlet?

The solution for the prev problem is
if chDt is the date object u have
Calendar calendar = Calendar.getInstance();
calendar.setTime(chDt); // this will set ur calender with the exact date in the chDt
int mo = calendar.get(Calendar.MONTH); //this will be one month back so add +1 to mo
In this way u can get Calendar.YEAR, etc like anything.....
