How to put the ratings filter back where it belongs?
The 1.0 version suddenly moved the ratings filter away from the rest of the filters on the left-hand library column, and stuck it with the horizontal file browser at the bottom of the screen. I've tried and tried to drag the filter back into the vertical column, but it doesn't want to budge.
The only problem is I hate the little scrolling thing at the bottom and always use Lightroom with it turned off.
Why they split half of the filters into the library control panel (file name, date, etc.), and tacked on the other half (rating and flags) into the bottom panel is beyond me.
Not "learning how...", just "learning too...". In other words, you can learn to like having it on all the time, and that was just one of three options I gave you.
As for "an option like most everything else", none of the panels in LR are tear-off and relocatable like those in PS.
I'm sorry you don't like this change. I hope I've explained why it's like it is. You don't have to agree with it but, if you are to use the program, you are going to have to choose one of the options I mentioned above.

You can also open the Bookmarks menu via Alt+B to see the Bookmark All Tabs item. It isn't show if you use the mouse to open the Bookmarks menu.

How can I put my SystemConfiguration Folder back where it belongs?
After an unsuccesful, paid support session with Apple, via phone, I was left with the SystemConfiguration folder on my desktop.
I would like to put it back where it came from, but have no idea how to get it there.You were instructed to drag the /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/ onto the Desktop to create a backup.
Then you were told to delete the 'System Configuration' Folder.
The files are recreated (automatically) when you reboot.
The 'SystemConfiguration' Folder on your Desktop is just a backup copy. -

I want to put my contacts icon back, but it is in THE kiosk .....I'm not sure what you mean by kiosk. However, to move an app, tap and hold the icon until it starts to wiggle then drag it to where you want it. Tap the Home button to stop the wiggling.

I used a third party programme called Mackeeper UGHHH SOOO Stupid i know,it moved loads of files to the trash now i do not know where they originally came from or belong!! the put back option is in grey??and will not work even when i highlight one by one!!
how can i manually put these files back where they belong?
i know i should have used time machine but i have not set it up and its too late for that now

I have a dilema i use a programme called Mackeeper i accidentally moved several checked files to my trash BUT i didnt delete them,i would like to put the files back where they belong but the put back option is in grey and wont work?? i have spoken to Apple and to no avail !!!
Mackeeper moved my files to my trash so i pulled them out of my trash to my desktop it has copied them to my desktop as well as kept them in my trash!!

Remove "MacKeeper" as follows.
"MacKeeper" has only one useful feature: it deletes itself.
Note: These instructions apply to the version of the product that I downloaded and tested in early 2012. I can't be sure that they apply to other versions.
IMPORTANT: "MacKeeper" has what the developer calls an “encryption” feature. In my tests, I didn't try to verify what this feature really does. If you used it to “encrypt” any of your files, “decrypt” them before you uninstall, or (preferably) restore the files from backups made before they were “encrypted.” As the developer is not trustworthy, you should assume that the "decrypted" files are corrupt unless proven otherwise.
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Applications
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A. The "MacKeeper" application is in the folder that opens. Quit it if it's running, then drag it to the Trash. You'll be prompted for your login password. Click the Uninstall MacKeeper button in the dialog that appears. All the functional components of the software will be deleted. Reboot.
Failure to remove MacKeeper will result from neglecting any one of these points:
Quit MacKeeper before dragging it to the Trash.
Don't empty the Trash after dragging the application to it. Let MacKeeper delete itself.
Don't try to drag the MacKeeper icon in the Dock to the Trash.

It does allow putting the tabs all the way at the bottom, but I don't like that either.
PLEASE, give me the address bar at TOP with tabs under that!!!
Also, I don't want FlashGot to be at the right of the address bar!!!why should we use yet another add on to get the tabs back at the bottom? Big mistake.
Moreover, why make FF look more like Chrome? If I wanted Chrome, i would have installed it long time ago.

I loaded my ipad photos from camera and all the pictures sorted by date. I later sync my ipad with my computer and the photos were all reorganized into IMPRT folders an out of date sequence. Any idea how to put the photos back into date files other than reloading all of them from camera?
What version of iPhoto?
Select one and rotate it. Then rotate it back. Does that make it appear?
A much better work flow is the keep the photos after importing. Check the success the import, wait for at least one successful backup cycle then use you camera's format command to reformat the card

How can I get rid of Apple Maps and Put the Google Maps back?
I wanted to know how to remove the Apple Maps and reinstall the Google Maps. The Apple Maps is a very inferior programme and not worth the space on the. Computer. It can't find anything. It's a complete waste of time.
So my original question is, how to get rid of it, and put the Google Maps back?CHances are google maps are never coming back as part of the bundled OS. Apple and Google seem to have parted ways (possibly has something to do with Google having their apps on other devices from other manufacturers but no one knows for sure)
Since preinstalled apps cannot be deleted, the most you can do is ignore the icon, shove it back on a back menu page (I have a 4th menu page on my iPad containing nothing but the bundled apps I consider worthless. I just ignore that page and never go there) and then put a shortcut to google maps on your iPad or find a third party map app you like better. -

I just purchased an Apple TV. I have a pc running windows 7. It is connected to a router and the router is connected to a wireless router. I connect my iPhone, iPad and apple tv to wireless network but do not know how to put the pc on the wifi network so the Apple TV can do home share.
I don't mean to be facetious but sometimes the simplest things are overlooked. To connect to your library you have to have the computer where the iTunes library is located running and with iTunes open. It also needs to be on the same network. My network is dual band and works with either stream but a friend of mine does not. He has to set the computer and the Apple TV to the same band. Hope this helps.
