How To Quesiton Re: Using Wirless Mighty Mouse with Windows PC

I would like to use my wireless Mighty Mouse with my work PC. I need some type of wireless dongle but have no idea what type or brand. Could anyone suggest one that has worked for them?
The PC I will be using at work is running Windows 7.
Thanks !
Chuck :- )

The Mighty Mouse utilizes Bluetooth for wireless connectivity, thus any standards compliant Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR dongle should work. Here is a link to one that should work great:

Could anyone tell me how to set my windows partition on mac so that I don't have to install my mighty mouse to work every time I open Windows?
When I am in windows and click the bluetooth icon in control panel it says that it recognizes the mouse and that it is operating but when I go to physically use the mouse it doesn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Stuart:
If Apple's official statement is that it will not work on a Wintel box, I would accept that position. You could E-mail Apple and suggest that they add that capability.

  • Using Apple Magic Mouse With Windows 7 64 bit and Parallels Desktop 8 questions

I will be getting an iMac in the coming months and installing Parallels Desktop 8 and Windows 7 64 bit.
I was wondering if I would have the functions of been able to left click, right click, scroll (preferably vertically but also occasionally horizontally) with the Apple Magic Mouse when I'm running Windows 7 through Parallels Desktop 8?
I just wondered if anyone has installed Parallels Desktop 8 and Windows 7 and have you been able to do what i mentioned above and also have you come across any other issues, problems whilst using the Apple Magic Mouse on the Windows side?
If there is any problems/issues with doing the above, is there anything I will need to do to get the above functionality to work?
    Thanks in advance.

    The same with the trackpad!
Sometimes scrolling is a bit too fast, becuase Win 7 isn't made to use with the Magicmouse or trackpad.
The only thing i miss / doesn't work ist the middle mouse button!
Thanks very much for the help stz-42 its much appreciated.
Providing I can left click, right click, scroll, then that's OK for me as I will be spending the vast amount of my time on the Mac side.
Are you able to scroll both horizontally and vertically when using Parallels 8 Win 7 64 bit on your iMac?

If your Windows computer has Bluetooth built in, then you cause your Magic Mouse with the computer, but you won't be able to use any of the multitouch gestures.

  • Middle-clicking woes in X11 Apps using a mighty mouse

    Hi,
This has been a frustrating issue ever since I got my new work computer (it's been over a year and a half) and I've just suffered through it. While middle-clicking a half dozen times today until it worked, I finally decided to ask to see if there's a solution other than scrapping the mighty mouse.
The problem is that when I use XEmacs (an X-windows app I use for coding), I like to use the middle click to paste, but I almost always manage to make the scroll-ball scroll inadvertently which causes the middle-click to not work and hence, nothing gets pasted. I know that there are other methods I could utilize, like setting up option-left-click or by command-c/command-v, or by using menus, but that's not what I want. I just want to highlight and middle-click. I want to have a middle-click that works with one try every time. I use all the clicking surfaces, so I don't want to map middle click to some other button. Is there a way I can tell X11 to ignore the scroll and middle-click anyway? Can someone give me a pointer on how to middle click better? This is crazy.
    Thanks,
    Rob

Have you tried an alternate Mouse driver?
    USB Overdrive
    <http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/13443>
    SteerMouse
    <http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/27620>
I think they have demo modes.
Personally, I use a Logitech mouse with about 9 buttons. My scroll wheel can be pushed left or right. Left is configured to Copy and Right is configured for Paste. Via USB Overdrive it does Command-C/Command-V for Mac applications, and the correct thing for X11 applications. That is to say, I can have the buttons do different things for different applications.

  • How to wired mighty mouse in windows 7

i am using an old apple mighty mouse with my windows notebook. the trackball doesn't work and the configuration panel in Windows 7 doesn't config mighty mouse button. is there any solution to config mighty mouse in Windows 7? thank you.

There is no need for additional drivers.
    Why?
If you have a Wireless Mighty Mouse you have to turn your computer visible for other devices in the Bluetooth preferences - then simply search for Bluetooth devices, connect - done!
To configure the Mighty Mouse's buttons, you might want to have a look at a tool called X-Mouse Button Control (http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm).

  • I just purchased a used wireless Mighty Mouse. Do I need to have Blue Tooth installed on my machine to use it?

    Hey
So I just purchased a used wireless Mighty Mouse at a Goodwill very inexpensively on the 50/50 chance it would work. Right out of the gate I figured I might need to have Blue Tooth installed on my machine to use it, is this the case?
I have a Mac Pro Tower running 10.6.7, but I didn't opt for the Blue Tooth a few years ago when I purchased it. I knew I should've!
    Thanks.

Well I purchased the Mac Pro in 2009 I believe. It could've been late 2008, but I can't quite remember. When I ordered it from the Apple store online I customized it. I had the amount of Ram I wanted put into it, and had two hard drives installed. While doing all of my customizations I could've opted to have the Blue Tooth card installed into the computer but for some reason I didn't see myself using it. I did get the generic wired mouse that came with the computer.

  • Mighty mouse with two computers

Is there a way to pair a Mighty Mouse with two computers and to them switch back and forth between them easily? I realize I could unpair from one and then pair with the other, but I’m trying to use a Mighty Mouse in lieu of a KVM switch with a wired mouse.

Yes and no. It all depends on the device, and I can't speak from experience when it comes to the Mighty Mouse, but I can speak from experience with other Bluetooth devices.
You can pair a device with multiple computers, but you cannot use it with multiple computers simultaneously. When switching, you'll have to tell your computer to disconnect from the mouse before the other computer can connect to it. Since we're talking about a mouse, reconnecting the mouse might be a little tricky, if you want to use only one. Perhaps adding something like an Optimus Mini Three (or similar HID) with an AppleScript attached to one of the buttons to trigger mouse reconnection could work.
There are software based solutions to your problem, enabling you to connect any HID (Human Input Device) to your computer, and then use a virtual KVM over the network. I've seen a few pieces of software like this in the Apple Downloads Database, but I don't know if they're free.

well dude I can only let you know that as I work with those programme I don't have to pay for it is my company that pays the programme I whant to use( that's why I was asking if there where other programmes ..that I could use with lion insted that Illustrator and Flash!)..I know Adobe since 2005 and I can say that Adobs products are very good...I think that if it's an Adobe probleme or fault ..they will solve it very soon...but unfortunally I have the impression that after Jobs passed away Appel decided to change politics..and everything started to go very bad! (see FCP X)..
    good luck with apple dude..
Where is the Apple problem? I have CS4 and CS5 running perfectly fine on my Macbook Pro. Installed 5 after Lion upgrade. Worth every cent. Adobe did have some catching up to do with Lion but with the CS5.5 update all runs fine. But not yours. So it is a problem with the Lion OS? You say you have been with Adobe since 2005. So you would be aware of all the other issues that Adobe had catching up with past Oss in Mac and Windows then. They get it right, but it is up to them. It is not up to Apple, nor Microsoft for that matter, to run around and check that every software developer in the world is running their business properly.
And what has politics got to do with anything. Some people just have to blame Software for their poor Hardware maintainence of failure of the same.
<The only think I can really do is to go back on my old windows...give back this orrible lap top and ask for my money back!>
Great suggestion. You should go with that one, but good luck getting a refund.

    Hi
I am not able to use any optical mouse with my s10e. Ayn driver available?
    Thank you

Hi, but that didnt solve your problem...
I have a little quest for you, to near the fences around the wild mice ...
Did you use the factory installed XP  ?
    in that case...yes..
in case of no jump to END
Did other usb devices recognized , like flashdrive/external hdd/keyboard ?
have you try it on both ports ?
    if not ...
have you activate /installed Quickstart ?,
    if yes .
. then plug in the usb mouse and
start QS for testing...external mice/keyboard  should be recognized...
    if the answer is yes...
i think its better to set the XP system to fresh factory recover ,
if you answer all upper quest with no your S10e mainboard could be broken , so you have to call for service..
    END
Did you install the system self... ?
    yes
Did you have complete XP with SP3 install ?
    yes
Did you have shrink windows with nlite ?
    yes
Did you install all drivers chipset and so on ..
Did you have yellow signs in the system device manager ?
hope that you find the solution...

  • Wireless Mighty Mouse on Windows PC (one last time). Any luck?

Anyone with any luck trying to pair a wireless Mighty Mouse with a Windows PC?
I'm trying to get the wireless Mighty Mouse to work on a PC (not a Mac with Boot Camp). I thought it should have been easy enough since I have other Bluetooth devices that work fine. I know that topic has been discussed before but I haven't come across anything definitive that shows a way to get it to work. Would someone please point me in the right direction. If not I'll be returning it for the wired Mighty Mouse.
As it stands now my Bluetooth software recognizes the Mighty Mouse but it can't pair it. I'm pretty sure it's a Bluetooth software issue. Your thought? Thanks.

I've installed 'Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba' to pair my bluetooth headset with XP to get music from iTunes. It's working great.
I've just tried to pair the Mighthy Mouse with XP and it's working!!!
