How to quickly/simply re-enable your Apple ID!

A few weeks back, my credit card information was stolen and used on a new iTunes account, so my card was banned and both accounts (mine and the fraudulent one) were disabled. I had the card cancelled and the funds recovered quickly, but my account was disabled even after changing my password. Lo and behold, there is an easy solution for this issue, and it re-enables your Apple ID for use not just in iTunes, but also in the App Store, during software updates, etc.

Click the link above, select something like "iTunes Account"-related problem, and just write a quick note about the situation. Once you've submitted the request, you receive a case number and have the option for e-mail interaction, or for a technical support representative to even call you directly, right then and there. I chose the second option and spoke with a very knowlegable guy named Brandon, and not only was he both sympathetic to the situation and thorough in handling it, he had my ID up and running again in less than five minutes.
Note: you will have to change your password again to re-enable the ID, but your representative should send an e-mail with a link directly to your account, where you can change your password back to something of your choosing.
Another tricky situation expertly handled by the fine folks at Apple, and another reason I'm a proud fan!

If you know your current answers then log into your account on http://appleid.apple.com, select the Password & Security section of your account, answer your existing questions and you can then change them
If you've forgotten your answers and you have a rescue email address on your account (an alternate email address is different) then as above go to the Password & Security section and you see see a reset link beneath your current questions : If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset, and if you don't already have a rescue email address, you can then add one for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses

    The A1427 or A1469 is printed on the bottom of the apple tv with very fine print, i had to use a flashlight to see my model number.

    What is the message that you are getting when you try to use the account ? If it's disabled then it will remain disabled until you get it re-enabled ; if it's locked then it will depend upon why it's locked as to whether Apple will unlock it when you contact them.
    If it's disabled then depending upon the reason you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on any iOS devices that you have by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (Settings > Store on iOS 5 and below) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them.

    You can't recover a password, only change it. The reason for this is that Apple has changed their conditions for passwords. They now need to have one upper case letter, 1 number, and be at least 8 characters. Also you cannot use any password you have previously used in the last year.

    Restart would be nice if the remote controls were responding.   I don't see how a restore would fix it since it was only used to stream YouTube videos. Nothing else. Also, it is only a couple months old that is used almost daily. I did notice after the physical power cycle, the main menu didn't respond for about 5/five seconds, and then everything was back to normal.

    The total amout of the gift card is applied to your iTunes account when you redeem it.  It does not hold a balance like a regular gift card.

    I have a new Marantz Surround Sound receiver and a fairly new Samsung HD tv.    I connected my TV, Blue Ray player, and cable box with HDMI to the back of the receiver as specified in the connection directions.  Great picture and sound for TV and BD player....but when I try to connect my Apple TV, picture is great...but no sound.    I connected the HDMI to the back of the TV (as specified in the Apple TV directions) and used an optical cable for sound (connected Apple TV and back of the receiver...only one optical port available.)
    According to the reciever set up, the only source port with OPT set as default is the CD port (I will not be attaching a CD player to the receiver)...so when I turned on the TV and receiver, I put the receiver on CD as the source....no sound.   I made sure that the volume should have been high enough to hear.   I moved through all the sources that include TV, CD, BD, Aux, DVD, Game, and SAT (cable box)....nothing on any of them. 
    I saw the suggestion to go to Audio on the Apple TV and change the audio output from auto to 16 bits....did that.   No change.
    Any other suggestions?  I know there must be a solution....

    The iTunes/iPod software isn't set up to let you sync songs from more than one libray, but if you manually manage the iPod you can add tracks from multiple computers without removing the existing content. Personnaly I think syncing with a library is a much better way to manage your iPod, so I'd suggest you just copy the stuff you bought at work onto a memory stick, then take it home and import it into your iTunes library there.
