hey,
i was with me child at the zoo when someone stole my iPhone 5.
I Locked it right away and enter a message with my phone number.
the guy asked 50$ to return it.
I Decided to pay him. know after got it back i want to unlock it.
i have the 4 digit code that i entered remotly at the moment i locked the iPhone.
Can someone help me and guide me how to unlock it ?

Yep. I would give it a try to see if the display changes again back to normal so that you can enter the password again.

You could try a hard reset
- hold the home button and the sleep/wake button down at the same time
- the phone will turn off, when the apple logo appears release both buttons
More than likely after this you will still be in recovery mode. If so then you would need to restore the phone through itunes on a pc/mac.

Two things came up:

Hello. I was trying to update my ipad 4 and it went to recovery mode and basically is locked. Cant' do anything with it. Does anybody knows how to exit recovery mode?

EXIT RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

Hi, Recently I made a request to AT&T to unlock my iphone 3gs. For past two week I didn't charge my mobile. After AT&T unlocked my phone, I tried to connect to itunes to do a restore and backup. But my mobile is not switching on and seems in DFU mode. Can anyone tell me how I can re-start my phone?

How to backup from recovery mode.

I have a 2009 Macbook pro which will not start up. One day I turned it on, but will not get past the Apple loading page. Since then, I have tried everything to solve this except formatting and reinstalling. Before I do this, I would like to back up the contents of the hard drive (they havn't been backed up before) to a time capsule.
How can I go about doing this? I can open disk utility in recovery mode, but the time capsule doesn't appear (when plugged in with both usb and ethernet). Why isnt time capsule appearning in disk utility and how can I backup my HD?

Once an iOS device is in recovery mode there is no way to back up anything on the device. The best plan is to regularly back up photos and data in the event something happens.
