once you enter in screen of ME51N
here give material,l purchasing group and plant ,quantity etc
If you dot know material code then place courser on material coloum filed and press F4 here search material for your plant
or just give material and enter system will guide my giving error message what you have to enter
after entering all thing at header level there is one icon check box click on that and check if you get green message PR is OK then save it

Hi Arun,
By Using BP_EVENT_RAISE function module you can raise an event.Create an ABAP program and call the function module BP_EVENT_RAISE and create a avariant to specify the event to be raised. Schedule this ABAP code. Go to the start process type and set the schedule to "after event" and mention the event name that you created. Also, I think now you can mention the time as well and you can also schedule for periodic scheduling.
T Code : SM62 --> To Create an Event.
T Code : SE38 --> To Create an ABAP Program
Use Function Module : BP_EVENT_RAISE to raise an event.

How to raise alert in BPM

Hi Experts,
Please tell me how to raise alert using control step in BPM. What are the other steps to be used with control step for raising alerts?
Is CCMS Alerts and Alerts by BPM are same? If they are not the same, how they are different to each other?
my requirement is, simply i want to raise a mapping, data related errors by Alert.
in addition to it, i want to raise alerts for any failure in IE.
Could any one tell , what are the sequence of steps needed in BPM for the above requirement? Plz take a IDOC to FTP receiver scenario and explain me BPM steps.

1. In OVAZ assign Sale Order type DR to your sales area
2. In OVKK Check if the Pricing Procedure determination is available with Document pricng procedure "A"
3. In VA01 Select the document type DR and maintain other details and save.
4. In VA02 remove Billing Block
5. In VF01 enter the DMR number and process. Save.

   Can anybody tell me how to raise a pop-up page using HTMLB.But don't use webdynpro.
I want to set a TextField on PAGE A,and a button ,when i click the button,
it raise up a page B,Page B contains a HTMLB tree,when i click the tree node,
The textfield value in Page A will get the node text.

In case of HTMLB you can use javascript to pop up the new page on click of the button.
onClientClick="popUpMethod();" of button call a java script method popUpMethod(). which will call the other page. below is the code for opening other page as pop up

      " status=yes,toolbar=yes,menubar=yes,location=no, scrollbars=yes ");
in this method you just need to change the name of your htmlb page like T1Report.htm with your html page.

I am creating a workflow for HR, the person will request a basic pay change than, this will start the workflow. For this i am making a screen from where i need to triger the event for the workflow.
Does anybody has any idea? of how to raise an event from a program. or has anybody worked on a scenario like this

You can also use the FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT which is a little newer I think. (I don't have access to a system today so that may not be the exact name of the FM but if you search SE37 under SAPWAPIEVENT* you should find it.
the parameters will be the event name, and the object key. The object key will be the key field of the workflow object you are using.
For example if you were using the saled document object then the object key would be the sales document number. Carefull how you enter the object key, it can be a little tricky on whether or not you need the leading zeros in the input parameter.

ODI : how to raise cross reference error before loading into Essbase?

Hi John .. if you read my post, I want to say that you impress me! really, thank for your blog.
Today, my problem is :
- I received a bad quality data file from ERP extract
- I have cross reference table (Source ==> Target)
- >> How to raise the error before loading into Essbase !
My Idea is the following, (first of all, I'm not sure if it is a good one, and also I meet issue to do it in ODI !)
- Step 1 : make JOIN between data.txt and cross-reference Table ==> Create a table DATA_STEP1 in the ODISTAGING schema (the columns of DATA_STEP1 are the addition of columns of data.txt those of cross-references Tables (... there is more than 20 columns in my case)
- Step 2 : Control if there is no NULL value in the Target Column (NULL means that the data.txt file contains value that are not defined in my cross reference Table) by using Filter ( Filter = Target_Account IS NULL or Target_Entity IS NULL or ...)
The result of this interface is send to reject.txt file - if reject.txt file is not empty then a mail is sent to the administrator
- Step 3 : make the opposite : Filter NOT (Target_Account IS NULL or Target_Entity IS NULL ... ) ==> the result is sent in DATA_STEP3 Table
- Step 4 : run properly the mapping : source : DATA_STEP3 (the clean and verified data !) with cross reference Tables and send data into Essbase - NORMALY, there is not rejected record !
My main problem is : what is the right IKM to send data into the DATA_STEP1, or DATA_STEP3 Table, which are Oracle Table in my ODISTAGING Schema ! I thy with IKM Oracle Incremental Update but I get error, and actually I don't need an update (which is time consumming), I just need an INSERT !
I'm just lookiing for an 'IKM SQL to Oracle" ....

and I decided to activate Integrity Constorl in ODI :
I load :
- data.txt in ODITEMP.T_DATA
- transco_account.csv in ODITEMP.T_TRANSCO_ACCOUNT
- transco_entity.csv in ODITEMP.T_TRANSCO_ENTITY
- and so on ...
- Moreover I create integrity constraints between T_DATA and T_TRANSCO_ACCOUNT and T_TRANSCO_ENTITY ... so I expected that ODI will raise for me in E$_DATA (the error table) the bad records !
However I have one issue when loading data.txt into T_DATA because I have no ID or Primary Key ... I read in a training book that I could use a SEQUENCE ... I try but unsuccessful ... :-(
Is there another simple way to create a Primary Key automaticaly (T_DATA is in an oracle Schema of course) ?thanks in advance

What you need to do is go into:
"Settings" then "Tones" and make sure "Incoming Alert" is changed to "Ringing" rather than "Ascending"

How to raise all invoices based on Ship-To-Party

Could you please tell me how to raise invoices on Ship-To-Party?
I know in standard all invoices will be raised against Sold-To-Party.
I know i can manually go in the sales order and change the Bill -To-Party to same as Ship-To-Party.
But is there some standard setting so that all my invoices are raised again Ship-To-Party without any manual intervention.

the most logical thing to do is to make your ship-to party also as the bill-to or the payer. because if the bill-to isn't the one being billed and the payer isnt the one paying, why maintain them in the first place?
however, you can define output condition types that when the billing document is created and saved, the ship-to is sent a copy of the invoice.
