How to re-download PS Elements (on replacement hard drive) without paying for software a 2nd time?

My hard drive completely died and I lost all my files and programs.  (I usually have everything backed up but unfortunately my back up drive had had issues about a month before and I hadn't got around to getting it fixed - lesson learnt the hard way!)
I now have a brand new hard drive in my laptop and need to re-download and install PS Elements but I don't want to have to pay for it a second time.
How do I do this?

Have you bought the PS elements or you were using it as the trial?
If you have bought the software then you ca download and install the software as you did earlirer.
and also please tell us your OS and verison of PS elements.

You should be able to copy from a drive even if it is setup for Windows.
If might help if you can tell us how the drive is formatted.

  • Download mountain lion on replaced hard drive

I need to download mountain lion on a replaced hard drive. how can I do this?

If your Mac came with 10.7 or 10.8 installed, you'll have access to Internet recovery - reboot holding down cmd-R and follow the prompts.
If you started on 10.6, you must reinstall that OS first and then use the App Store to install 10.8.

  • How do I download mountain lion onto new hard drive

My IMac 2.4  mid 2007 was starting to get very slow in opening applications. I rebooted the machine, it displayed the apple and then a circle with a line through it and would go no further. I have put it down to the hard drive, and have purchased a new one. My question is, how do I install mountain lion that I have already purchased to the new hard drive. I would appreciate any help on the matter

You need to get your computer up to at least 10.6, using the original installer for your Mac, or a retail copy of 10.6.3. Then update to 10.6.8, and using the App Store, sign in with your AppleID, go to Purchases, and re-download and install 10.8.

  • How to reinstall os x/data after replacing hard drive

I'm about to replace my hard drive after the original crashed. I have a macbook pro 17" and I have the original backup cd's, also a time machine backup on external hd.I'm installing a 1tb hdd from the 750gb original.
What is the sequence which I need to follow to restore my OS and data? The original OS is Snow Laopard, the one I ugraded to is Moutain Lion.
Apart from the sequence will the Ext hd have the operating system backed up on it or do I need to load the original OS disc and then the Apps disc or only the Ext hd backup?
As I'm replacing my hard drive do I need to format the new drive in disc utilities still, if so how?
Will I be asked for any passwords?
    Any help appreciated.
    Martyn.

Install the new HDD in your MBP.
Start the MBP with the Snow Leopard install disk holding down the C key.
Proceed with the installation until you see a menu bar on top of the display.
From the menu bar click on UTILITIES.
From the drop down menu select Disk Utility.
Select Disk Utility>Erase and format the HDD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Proceed to install Snow Leopard.  It will probably be 10.6.3.
Open SOFTWARE UPDATE and install 10.6.8.
Then you may install Mt. Lion or Mavericks.
Run Time Machine and install your user data.  Refer to this web site for assistance if need be:

  • I have 3 i-4 phones and one app account. I paid for one game, how do I download it to the other two phone without paying again.

I have 3 i-4 phone and one app account. I have paid for one game, how do I download this game to my other 2 i-4 phone whitout paying again?

There is no device limit for the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer. Each device can have its own sync preferences with iTunes along with iTunes creating and maintaining a backup for each device, which is updated by iTunes automatically as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
Since all iTunes content on each iPhone - all music, movies, tv shows, audio and print books, and 3rd party apps should be in your iTunes library on your computer, connect the other two iPhones to iTunes and under the Apps tab for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select the game to be installed on the iPhone followed by a sync. Repeat for the other iPhone.

  • How to sync new iPod Touch to replaced Hard Drive?

Okay, so I dropped my MB Pro and had to replace the hard drive... tragically, at the moment when my newest Time Machine backup is June 6 (long story, but I kept having the "Time Machine Drive is full" problem and never figured out how to get around it without buying lots of new drives).
So... here I am with a new drive that, after I go buy a Torx 6 screwdriver, I'll have to reload with a fresh install of 10.6... and then piece together with what files I could salvage from the damaged drive... but then I just realized I'll have another problem.
I have an iPad that I bought before the backup date, but which has changed content considerably since... and I have an iPod Touch that's only about two weeks old, but loaded with all my old songs, etc. and several new apps.
HOW do I sync up the iPad and iPod Touch to the computer once the new but "June 6" drive is up and running? Is there a way to have all the changes on the iPad and iPod added back to the Mac, rather than forcing those two units to also go back to my June 6 backup profile?

Google "Pod to Mac". It is available as both a freeware and paid software. It will copy the content of your iPod touch and most likely your iPad as well back to your Mac. Somethings, like photos, may not get copied back.
As another potential backup, try Carbon Copy Cloner. You can use it to clone your hard drive making a restore much easier.

  • How do I download files on my crashed hard drive?

My hard drive crashed on my HP Pavilion dv7-4165dx Entertainment Notebook PC. I want files off it. I tried to download the storage drive on this site but all it gave me was nonsense. How do I get this information?

If there is any life left in the hard drive you should be able to install it into a USB HDD Enclosure, plug it into usb port of a working machine and copy files off to hdd of host machine.
    Example:

  • How do i download a dvd to my hard drive

please guide me through the steps on what to do thanks

Not too sure what you are after here?
    A. You have found an image of a DVD on the web and you want to download it.
    B. You have a DVD and you want to copy the contents onto your Hard Drive
    C. You have a DVD Movie that you want to rip for archive purposes on your HDD
    D. You want to copy a DVD Movie and encode it in a compressed format that OS X can read?
    E. You want to copy the holiday video from a DVD Movie you made so you can edit it and make another home movie out of it.
Options C and D come under the Millennium Copyright Act and this being a US website they probably don't want the discussion to occur here.
For Option E. - In general most Mac Users look at Handbrake and MactheRipper for getting video out a DVD Video formatted disk.

  • How can I install OSX into a new hard drive without a CD?

I just installed a new hard drive and I don't have a installation CD/DVD to install OSX. How can I go about install a fresh copy?

Are you able to beg or borrow access to another Mac that has access to the internet & is new enough to use the App store?
You can sign in to your App store account & download the appropriate installer (Mavericks or whatever you have in your account). Then you can make a USB bootable copy of the installer (there are many other guides around)…
    http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/08/make-a-bootable-mac-os-x-10-7-lion-installer-from -a-usb-flash-drive/
If you can access a Mac but don't want to do the huge download you can use the recovery assistant to create a bootable recovery partition on a USB stick.
    https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1433
When you boot your Mac it will download the OS for installation.
Does the original HD still work? It may be quicker to get a cheap 2.5inch case & boot from that just to get an OS downloaded & installed. It will mean you are not wasting cash & time on 10.6 that is only needed for one App store download.
I'd consider a trip to an Apple store if you have one local, they may drop an installer or recovery partition onto a memory stick for you.
