How to re-install an update ??

My case is that I installed the Adobe updates (AE 10.5.1 & PPro 5.5.1) without any problem. Some days afterwards, my Windows 7 encountered some problem and I had to restore my Windows system to a previous backup point at which the Adobe updates (AE & PPro) had not yet been installed. So, after system restored, I tried to re-install the Adobe updates. But the Adobe update installer said the products have been updated sucessfully and finished. But in fact, the versions of AE and PPro are still the old 10.5.1 and 5.5 respectively. I guess there must be something installed in the Windows system after the initial update installation.
So, how can I re-install the Adobe updates after system restored to a previous point before the updates were installed ??

Once everything is working again...
Hardware crashes or virus infections or simple software problems happen, so you should buy AND USE software to make a full backup of your hard drive to an external USB hard drive... plus, making step-by-step backups during a new install or major program addition makes it easy to go back a step if something doesn't work
This backup and then restore is, of course, only to the same computer with a new drive (or the same drive as long as you don't mind writing over everything) since doing a restore to a new computer won't work due to Windows and many programs having activation information that is keyed to your hardware (which is why Windows will force you to RE-Activate if you change very much hardware)

Image runs off of a bootable CD via Linux (the Zip you download includes a program to make the bootable CD) and it reads EVERYTHING on the drive, even the hidden registration information, so everything is restored when needed... and you may restore the image to a brand new drive in case of a crash, and not have to re-install anything
Please note that I own no part of Image, and I don't get a referral fee (that is just a plain web link) but I use the program and it has saved me a LOT of trouble when I had a hard drive die... and I was able to restore everything and not have to re-install or re-activate a single program, from Windows on up

IMO, the best version of Flash for WinXP. Adobe kept up with security updates for 10.3 for WinXP users long after Flash 11.0 came out in 2011 for Vista and newer versions of Windows.
Run the uninstaller, then reboot your operating system.
Then you can run the Flash installer, with Firefox closed, of course.

After saving the file which is likely called "Firefox Setup 4.0.1.exe" you need to run it to install Firefox 4.
If you do not clear the downloads from the download manager, you can run the installer from the downloads manager. Open the download manager, then right-click on the Firefox setup file and select Open. As soon as you start running the setup file, close Firefox. You need to do this so that the setup file can replace the files in the Firefox installation directory.

I keep getting this error (F3-FF00-0006) when trying to do a system recovery on a Toshiba Satellite L500 Laptop that was running W7. The Toshiba support site say's to download the HDD Recovery Update 1.0.0.4 and install it. I can download it on another computer and put it onto a disk, but if the L500 I am trying to do a recovery on is all but useless...how do I get the update onto it to fix this recovery error!!!
This seems to be a flaw in Toshibas logic here. There are no instructions on what to do with the update, any help will be most appreciated. Oh, I have put the update on a disk and put into the DVD drive of the L500...and am still getting the same error

I want to install Flashplay updates (for which I'm prompted) without installing McAfee virus checker. This very long dialogue thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1056732?start=0&tstart=0 claims (from staff) that you can uncheck a box so it is not installed. I did NOT get a checkbox. I clicked to run installation and a dialogue box came up indicating that both Flash and McAfee had started to install. When it finished both were installed.
Is it possible to install Flash without McAfee? If not can someone tell me that I need to uninstall it after installation. I may be wrong, but you boys may be running into problems here. I've had problems before with two different virus checkers installed. If someone had a security violation and it was found that a conflict had caused the problem, and that the McAfee had been forcibly installed you might run into trouble.

I hope that someone will be able to help. I am having great difficulty up dating my iPhone 4. ITunes will advise me that there is an update available. I choose the option to download and Install. Each and everytime I have done as instructed I recieve the message....that there seems to be an error and the operation has timed out and I must check my connections. I have done all that to no avail.

I have PSE10 and Win 8.1 and want to try editing raw files. I have tried to install both
Camera Raw 6.6 update for Elements 10 and
Camera Raw 6.5 update for Elements 10
but the install fails with the following error message

If in the pse 10 editor you go to Help>About Plug-In and click on the words Camera Raw, which version does it say?
The latest camera raw update for pse 10 is 6.7, so try this installer for camera raw 6.7

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

How can I install lates updates to Reader 9.4.0?

I still get 1601 error which is a MS INstaller problem. I have done everything: re-register, install new installer, bypass normal startup, run fix it programs to fix hard disk errors and optimize perfomance, etc. and still can't get updates to install. I have tried all the Installer suggestions wihout any luck. Reader is the only program that has an install problem. Other updgrades and installs are working ok. Any suggestions are appreciated

Error in adobe is 1601. Also says: The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windoows Installer is not correctly installed.
Information on how to fix was obtained form Microsoft and other forums. Tried them all -- and they don't work.

I have a Macbook Unibody C2D 2.0Ghz with a dead DVD drive that won't even accept a disk. I need to update the system on this. How can I make a disk image of system install disks on a thumb drive or an external HD to install system?

Error message after checking for updates says I do not have permission to install and to contact administrator. I am the only user/owner of this computer so I AM the administrator. How do I install the update? I am using a MacBook Pro.
