How to re-install PSE7? [was: lost disc]

Hi, I can't find my PS Elements 7 disc (yes, I know it's old but good enough for me) and tried unsuccessfully to use my serial number to activate a downloaded copy.  Is there a way around this without having to pay for another copy?

Thanks, but when I enter the correct serial number (as per that found on the back of the DVD case) a red cross appears and, after selecting 'submit', I'm told that the code is incorrect.
Is this anything to do with having used it on my previous PC? If so, how do I reset it (that PC no longer exists)?

  • How do I install a programme from disc?

    Hi,
It probably is the most stupid question ever... but I have a copy of Microsoft Office 2004 on a disc (it is not the original one which is a long story) and can use it at the moment from the disc on my Macbook Pro laptop OSX 10.6.8, although I have yet to figure out how to actually install it onto the hard drive. I try to copy it but it does nothing, and I was wondering if someone could help in the simplest possible terms? I am not a 'computer person' so can only apologise!

Open the file and a window will be opened with the installer

if you follow all 7 steps you can dl a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/tag/ddl
    and activate with your serial.
if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

  • How to Re-Install OS X from Disc

Bought a new iMac and now want to prepare my old G5 for selling, clean it up in the original state.
When I insert Disc-1 and chooses "Install Mac OS X and Bundled Software" the software asks for a restart.
After I entered password the system re-starts but after a few minutes the disc is thrown out
and on the complete grey screen appears a tiny folder with the two faces of finder and next with a "?".
Then after a few minutes the original startscreen (login) appears.
    What am I doing wrong?

Instead of doing it that way, insert the disc and restart. Immediately after hearing the startup sound, press and hold the C key. This will force startup from the optical drive with the Mac OS X installation disc.
If the disc is still ejected for some reason, start up with the Option key held down. This will get you to Startup Manager. At that screen insert the Mac OS X installation disc. It should appear on the list of startup options. Select it and continue the startup; that should start it up from the optical drive.
When you get to Installer's first screen, go up to the menu bar. Under Utilities, select to run Disk Utility. In the sidebar, select the internal drive; make sure you select the DRIVE and NOT the volume indented under the drive. Go to the Erase tab. Click on +Security Options+ and select the option for +Zero Out Data+. That will write zeros to all drive sectors during the erase and make your data essentially unrecoverable with data recovery software. Back on the main window, name the volume +Macintosh HD+ and set the format to +Mac OS Extended (Journaled)+. And Erase the drive. Because of the zeroing of data, this process can take up to a few hours.
Once it completes, quit Disk Utility to go back to Installer. Proceed with the standard installation onto the now blank volume. When it restarts, it should open Setup Assistant. Quit and shutdown. When the new owner start up, it should go through Setup Assistant again (it should be like when you started it up the first time).
Be sure to provide the new owner with the original disc(s).

  • I think I need to re install Encore off my discs. When I ask Premier Pro CS5 to send my project to Encore, Encore opens but does not receive my movie sequence. How do I re install Encore only without upsetting my movie?

Hello. I have the Premier Pro CS5 suite on Windows. Can you advise me how to re install Encore off my discs without affecting any of my movie in Premier Pro please?
I ask Pro to send the movie sequence through Dynamic Link into Encore so that I can burn the sequence to a disc.
Encore does open but the sequence does not arrive from Pro.
Last night the sequence did arrive into Encore but took forever to transcribe and I eventually cancelled the process as it appeared to get stuck and did not quite get to writing to disc.
This morning the sequence does not even arrive into Encore.
Very frustrating when I have a 4hr movie that I want to write to Bluray so I have now created 4 separate sequences and want to try writing them onto DVD in 1hr chapters.
Hope someone can help me with this. Cheers. Janice

Hello Ann. Thank you for your help. I have re installed EN and I have now
sent parts of my movie to AME. I have then tried several different methods
of getting the encoded clips into Encore successfully. Once in the Project
panel and the Timeline, the movie does not show up in the Monitor panel
above, so I have proceeded to build and write to a disc. I've tried a
number of options but always end up with EN 'not responding' and having to
    close the program down.
Something else is that I do get a message whilst in Premiere Pro that there
is an update available for AME, however, when I look online I do not see an
update for CS5, although there are 2 updates for CS6. Can you suggest what
I could do please? The Encore problem is the one that concerns me the most
as I am not able to record my movie.
    Looking forward to your reply.
    Kind regards.
    Janice

Ask in the iDVD forum on what's the best way out of iPhoto and into iDVD.  The resident expert there, Bengt Wärleby, can give you the best option.

  • My recovery disc created was lost, how do i get new one??

my recovery disc created was lost, how do i get new one??

    Hi:
I doubt you can get the disks from HP anymore.
You can call them and ask because getting a recovery disk set from HP will cost you less than $20.00, most likely.
In the event I am right about HP no longer having them, you can get a recovery disk set from this place below if the license on your PC is for Windows XP Professional.

  • My downloaded version of Photoshop Elements 6 was lost when my computer crashed. How do I re-install?

My downloaded version of Photoshop Elements 6 for windowns
was lost when my computer crashed. How can I re-download?

Unfortunately there isn't a download available for PSE 6, so if you didn't save your original download, I'm afraid you're out of luck. The downloads available at adobe are mostly the trials for older versions and for PSE 6 you couldn't activate the trial by entering a serial number so it wouldn't help you any.

  • How do I install CS5 on new iMac without a disc drive, if remote installation isn't working?

I purchased CS5 for my laptop (Macbook Pro 2007 I believe) and now have the newest iMac without a disc drive.  I have tried remote installation, but it did not work.  I attempted to copy the installation files onto a USB and then transfer them, however, the iMac then prompts me to insert the installation cd.  How can I install it?  Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I was signed in with download assistant, no just in at adobe.com... I've tried different perferences and settings but when I click on the links nothing seems to happen. I've been messing around with this for a few hours now and it dawned on me that it may have something to do with my internet. I live outside the city- totally nice for gardening, totally terriable for internet thus I have a verizon data plan and not unlimited internet, I think possibly verizon is shutting it down because of restrictions I have on my data. This type of thing also happened when I upgraded to Mavericks. The file itself was larger than my month's data so it seemed like it wouldn't initiate the download... I don't know for sure if it is the same problem here but if you're telling me that you are having more successful results than I am that might be the reason.
I'll take my computer to work or to my mom's house or somewhere where I can have unlimited access and see if I have any better success.
Thanks so much for all your help!

  • I'm using a late 2006 2.33GHz imac.I clean installed 10.6 from disc then updated to 10.7 from download. Now every time my computer goes into sleep it won't wake up.Anyone know how to cure this problem please??

    I'm using a late 2006 2.33GHz imac.
I clean installed 10.6 from disc then updated to 10.7 from download.
Now every time my computer goes into sleep it won't wake up.
The only way it will restart is to pull the mains lead out of the imac, put it back and try until it will start.
This only happened after reinstalling.  Only Apple OS was on the imac and so it must be an issue with the software I believe.....
Anyone know how to cure this problem please?
    Thanks
    paul

This isn't a fix, more a workaround I used when I had wake from sleep problems that lasted from some point in 10.6.x, through 10.7 and into 10.8 (got fixed for me in 10.8.2). It seems to be connected with Bluetooth failing to wake up properly:
System Preferences>Energy Saver and set 'computer sleep' to 'never'.
