How to re-kerberize when node is not 127.0.0.1

I'm re-kerberizing 10.6.2 server per Apple's instructions <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3655>.
But my current OD info is at LDAPv3/192.168.1.200 instead of 127.0.0.1.
Thus, when I run the slapconfig -kerberize command it fails with sso_util status 2; and kdcsetup command fails with code 255
How do I get the slapconfig -kerberize command to apply to the 192 realm? Or is that wrong and I need to change OD so its node is called 127.0.0.1?

Yes but you have to make sure to decompress any compressed items and catch all instances,
ensure permissions are preserved, and them compress them back up (using the same compression, be it .gzip or tar and/or gz)

Hello, i would really appreciate any help with this. Basically, I let a friend use my ipod for a while...in order to use it on his pc he purchased some software which would enable it to be used on both...when i got the ipod back...i am not able to connect it to my itunes. I've tried all the steps in support..have the latest versions of itunes, ipod updater (not really sure how to use this since my ipod isn't being read by the computer..but) etc...can anyone tell me how I can reformat this sucker without it being seen by my computer? I thought I could hold down a few buttons or somehting..but i guess that just resets it..which didn't do anything. I don't care abut losing all of the music on it. Any help would REALLY be appreciated. Thanks.

Several things could keep iPod from appearing in iTunes or in the Desktop/Finder when you connect it to your PC/Mac. The most likely causes are listed below in logical order. Check each one starting from the top of the list to see if that is what's keeping iPod from appearing.

9. Try to run the iPod in “Diagnostic mode” . which can be accessed by pushing the “hold” switch into the “on” position and then “off” (into the original position). Then press the following buttons in the following order: “menu” plus “select” (centre button) then press “reverse” plus “select”. This will take you to the hidden diagnostic mode screen menu. It may take a few trials and pressing the buttons in the right way for this to work, so be patient and keep trying if you have to. The diagnostic mode will give you 7 choices which are: Memory, IO, Power, Status, SysCfg, Diskmode, and Reset. Don’t bother trying “reset” because in my case it didn’t work it just took me back to the same problem. Instead, choose “diskmode”, after which you should get an odd looking “ok to disconnect” sign on the iPod screen.
If one of the above step helps to get your iPod to be recognized with your computer, do a Restore.
But, if none of these steps address the issue, your iPod may need to be repaired. You can arrange for service at the iPod Service Website.

How to eject dvd when software will not?

After having my mac book pro's hard drive replace and added 4 more gigs of ram I had to load saved software that I managed to pull off the drive before it completely died. Now I tried to add MS Office from my mac mini. When I click on say, MS Word it brings up a statement that the installer did not install correctly. So I dug up my disk of MS Office 2011. I pur ir inro the Mac book pro drive and it never comes up on the desktop. I even trided my external dvd drive that I used on my mac mini. No go! I put the disk into the mac book pro and now can not get it out. The mac doesn't see it either. I will see if there is a method to enable seeing the disk that would be a big battle to win. Also I am using OS 10.9 or Maverick. Help me...

You folks maybe correct in thinking OS 10.9 that I am using may be the culprit. However, I have posted here rather then the OS Mavrick group (which I did not know of tnx) because I had read several folks discussing (but wouldn't ya know it I forgot the tech term and I am familiar with it) a software that binds the machinacal device such as the dvd drive to talk to the other software, etc. Oh, and when I insert Microsoft's office 2011 for Mac, the drive accellerates and slows down. The drive never comes to the desk-top. The drive according to other comments in different forums have said the the firmware needs to be current. Then again, I would think that with the various system upgrades each system alteration / change would have the (hopefully, ha) necessary firmware to interface with devices / software and system, right? Anyway, for all the reasons I only took my concerns here. By the way I think I had started up the Mac Book Pro while holding down the track pad. I may hit the track-pad and see, and we'll see if that allows me to bring up the software to install and / or eject the MS office 2011, etc. Tnx for all your comments, I certainly appreciate it.

Database was dropped an year back and we need to restore the database
1)controlfile autobackup was not enabled
2)backups are in tape
3)no catalog db used
4)DBID is known.
we can request to load tapes that are holding backups from 1 week prior of db drop date
we can not use "restore controlfile from autobackup" as autobackup was not enabled. So how can we restore the controlfile?

1)catalog those backupsets
2)check the backup summary for controlfiles & datafiles, SPFILE(optional)
3) if exist then you can restore using DBID or catalog start with commands.

Emma, welcome to the forum.
You can go into Control Panel / Programs and Features / Turn Windows features on or off (In the left column). Uncheck Internet Explorer 11 and click OK. This will uninstall it. You can uninstall of install all of Windows features from there.

Unable to unlock phone -- How to backup photos when touch is not working

Hello Experts,
My HTC 8X running windows phone 8.1 update (dev Preview) had some password unlock attempts in my pocket and now its currently on the screen where its asking me to enter A1B2C3 to try to enter the password again.
My problem is that the left side of the touch screen is not responding so i am unable to type 'A1'
Is there ANY way I can unlock my phone and take a backup of the pictures on it.
I don't want to reset my phone as I have very important pics on it and I didn't turn on the auto upload feature of pictures to OneDrive.
Please help as I really cannot reset my phone and delete the pictures.
Please note that the phone is getting detected on the computer but I am unable to see the storage to do a backup.

I have the same issue on a Nokia Lumia 925. Yesterday the screen stopped working, due to an accident. The phone is locked with a NIP so I cannot unlock it and when I connect it to the PC I cannot see its data, which is not saved on OneDrive by the way. The
Windows Phone App on Windows 8 asks me to unlock the phone to see its content, but I cannot do that since the screen is broken, and the Windows Explorer on Windows 8 (and XP also) recognizes the phone correctly but cannot display any of the files on it. It
says the device is empty.
I understand that I need to send my phone to have its screen replaced or fixed, but I sure do not want to delete its files, and would like to backup them before I send away my phone, specially the pics and videos. Maybe on these months you have come up with
a way to do that I guess?

How to keep playing when Premiere window not on focus?

I make home movies in Premiere, which means putting together a lot of spontaneous clips.
Because of that, I must censor them on the editing table so that no disgusting, gossipy or insulting comment gets burned to a disc and sent to my relatives.
Adobe Premiere stops playing as soon as any other window gains focus, which means that I am forced to watch the entire project (2 hours) even though I only want to listen to it, perhaps whilst I could be browsing the web, chatting, etc.
Is there a way I can force Premiere to play the project while being in the background?

Can not connect to store flashes when i am not trying to connect

I am working on my macbook pro, and i am away from a wireless connection, (I am not trying to connect to the itenes store). i am working away on my computer and iTunes icon starts bouncing in the doc, it says that it can not connect to the store because there is no internet connection.
I am not trying to connect to the store, does anyony know how to stop this when i am not trying to connect. it is not a major problem just annoying.
I did just have a new hard drive installed and a new version of lion and itunes installed. is there a setting that i need to turn on or off?

Hi,
here an example.
When I use the method CL_SRM_XML_REC_INSTANCE->IF_SRM_XML_POID~GET_ALL( POID_TAB COUNT_USER_REST COUNT_POID_AUTH ).
When I used the user with no right for viewing the invisible nodes I get no elements in the tabelle POID_TAB and 38 in the value COUNT_USER_REST.
So did any one know a solution you can I create a nodes and change the restriction for the new node with the normal user?
