How to re-name any folder under "Business Processes " in SOLAR01  in SAP

Hi,
How to re-name any folder under "Business Processes " structure in SOLAR01 in SAP Solution Manager. ?
Can any one tell me the procedure for this ...

Hi
just choose the Business Process on the left and click the structure tab
here it will list all the business scenario names you have added just directly edit or write it whatever you want
if you want to do at lower level
choose the business process node of that Business scenario under this you get all the business process in structure tab
here also edit it or directly write it

    relevant are the tables TPR_INDEX, TTREE and TTREET!
    Nodeids are in table TPR_INDEX.
    TPR_INDEX-REFNODE_ID joins with TTREE-NODE_ID
    TTREE-ID joins with TTREET-ID, where you will find the text of the node.

  • How to create a custom folder under Knowledge Management in Home Page

    Hi,
    We have a SAP provided standard Home Page and it has a Workset/page called Knowledge Management.
    Under that we have the folders called Favorites, Public Documents, Personal Documents etc.,
    How can i create a new custom folder , say HR in that so that i can upload the HR related documents and that will be visible under Knowledge Management for all users.
    What ever the folder we are creating under the Content Management is not visible in the Knowledge Management workset provided by the SAP.
    Please let me know the step by step procedure of adding a folder under Knowledge Mangement Workset.

    Hi Sekhar,
    You can store all your HR related documents in KM content.
    Path is Content Administrator -> KM content
    You find so many folders like documents etc... All these are KM repositories.
    If you want to create a folder in the repository, you need to  create a KM repository and it needs to be activated.
    For creating custom KM repository check the below thread.
    You can create your own repository with your desired name.
    Go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Repository Managers -> CM Repository
    Otherwise you can create a folder in root->documents. Say
    HR.
    In that HR you can store all the documents.
    To display these documents in portal iview, you have to created a KM Navigation iview and set the property 'path to document' as /documents/HR
    It will display all the documents in that iview.
    There are so many templates related to displaying KM content.
    Search in SDN for more information.

    I am new to Discoverer. I am supporting a report developed by someone else. I can see that the report is based on some folder in Discoverer Desktop. I would like to know details behind the folder. I tried logging through Disco Administrator but I could not locate this folder.
    Is there any search capability in Discoverer Admin to locate folder of business area?

    Yes, you can go to the administrator "Tools -> Manage folders" (CTRL+M) and search by the second tab ("By Folder").

  • How to debug Z-Prgram  defined under Business Object

    Dear Members,
    I have been trying to debug one Z-program which was defined under Business object(ZBUS2032OS) [ the method of business object is called from VA02(sales order Change], but I couldn't get the proper way to go into debug mode.
    I tried by putting break points in the z-program and  in the code of business object(where z-program is being called by SUBMIT statement). But I failed to go into debug mode of the program.
    Could any one please share your experience in this case?

    I have checked the process (creating sub orders in VA02) by giving parent sales order, the program had been triggerd(Z-program) in back ground and created sub orders. But I did not get the debug mode(break point was set).
    I want to know what is link between Business object type(where program was defined) and Transaction VA02.

    I second Sorin's observations and comments. There are several limitations in using STS workaround. It is true that STS will be available to use with NW BI. However in order to use that you will have to create a planning area in BPS. Even after doing that you will not have the security framework of BPC available to you in STS. All you can do is list out the steps in the process flow, may be link your planning workbboks and have email notifications sent out upon completion. the other option mentioned was that of SAP workflow. Since BPC7NW has NW platform, SAP workflow is available to you and you can link the BPC process chains to it if you so desire. But again, it won't have BPC security and it won't be even close to BPF in look and feel. The best option is to wait till BPF becomes available in future BPC NW version to use.

    Hi Sam,
    You really need to explore yourself on that. For example if you want to find out the processes in say Cement industry, just google in Cement sales process and you will get some of the industry standards, processes and so on. From there you can build on it. This has to be exploratory only and there is no standard set of processes for each industry. Though the common processes are there, variations are abundant.
    Just get into help.sap.com and search for each verticals, you will get the process standards for every kind of industry SAP has IS on.

  • How do you restrict access to a business process structure in Solution Mngr

    We have set up a business process structure in Solution Manager that includes Finance to Manage and Hire to Retire.
    Although it is Ok for people to display the documentation in each area, we do have the requirement that the people owning Finance to Manage should not able to change the documentation in Hire to Retire and visa versa. Is there a security object that restrict this access? Are there other ways doing this?

    But in the "Availability" KPI i am not able to get any business process for availability measurement.
    How can i get the business process in the "Availability KPI"?

  • Kindly advise on new business process to map to SAP

    Hello All,
    I have one business process and I could not able to map to SAP.
    Please help me out.
    I have two company codes and one company code does the export business and other one supplies some parts to exports company code.
    Please find the scenario details in below.
    Company code 1000                 Company Code 2000 (Exports)
    Plant 1000                               Plant 2000
    X is the final product which is assembled with below parts (BOM)
    (Part A,Part B,Part C,Part D)
    Business Process:
    1. Plant 2000 places an order to Plant 1000 for final product "X".(It is the combination of Parts A,B,C,and D)
    2. Plant 2000 supplies Part E and Part F to plant 1000 without billing as RGP (Returnable goods packing).
    3. Plant 1000 receives parts E and F from Plant 2000
    4. Plant 1000 packs all the parts in one cart (ABCDE+F) and issues the final product "X" and part E and part F to Plant 2000
    5. Plant 2000 receives the final product X and part E and part F and as soon as GR done Part E and Part F should get consumed automatically in Plant 2000
    6. Plant 1000 sends the invoice for the Parts A,B,C and D and for service also.
    7. Plant 2000 pays invoice amount to plant 1000
    8. Plant 1000 receives the payment from plant 2000
    Please suggest me the suitable process in SAP and let me know if you need further explanation.

    Hi,
    For the above process you can map with Sub con process
    Step1 ) Create BOM in plant 2000 under cocd 2000  as End product /Header Material(X) and Component/child material as E and F
    Step 2) Create Sub con PO in plant 2000 under cocd 2000 with Vendor as Plant 1000 under co cd 1000
    Step 3) Transfer Component/child material E and F to Vendor as Plant 1000 under co cd 1000 using 541 Movt type.
    Steps 4) In Plant 1000 under co cd 1000 maintain material E and F as Non Valuated only Qty update.
    Step 5) Receipt the Component/child material E and F using Movt type 501 to update stock.
    Step 6) Create BOM IN Plant 2000 under co cd 2000 as End product/ Header material as X and Component/child material as A, B, C , D,  E & F.
    Step 7) Create sales order in Plant 1000 under co cd 1000 with customer as plant 2000 under cocd 2000
    Step 8) MRP run if require to plan the material A, B, C & D.
    Step 9) Procure the material A, B, C & D if stock less.
    Step 10) Create Production order/ Process order for Material X.
    Step 11) Confirm production order and receipt the End material (X) AGAINST Production order.
    Step 12) Crete out bond delivery VL01N for Material X and Goods issue (VL02N)
    Step 13) Billing VF01
    Step 14) MIGO goods receipt in  Plant 2000 under co cd 2000 against Sub on PO here Material E & F will consumes upon GR and end/ Header Material X will updated Stock.
    Step 15) MIRO to settle Vendor Account. Hope this will helps you.

    I have a basic doubt in SOLMAN. Can I add a sub process under main buisness process in Solar01 or Solar02 transactions?
    For example, I am working in business process "Administering Employee HR Data", under that I have seven sub-processes as delivered. Here is my requirement, Can I add some more sub processes in there?

  • How to monitor Print Spool folder in Business Objects XI R2 - Crystal report

    Hi Guru's
    We recently had a issue where disc space was full in BO server and it was down. The reason was there was one job in print spool folder which was eating up whole space in C drive.
    We had to stop the print spool service and delete the jobs and restart it back.
    In order to prevent this from happening what can be done??.
    One way that my client suggested is to write a script where in it will send us the size of print spool folder every hour so we can find the report which is causing this. I have no idea how this can be done.
    This happened once and I dont have an answer when my manager asks will it happen again. Is there a way where we can monitor this or stop this from happening.
    My current environment is
    BOXI R2 , crystal report XI is the reporting tool.

    Normally you should run your CR reports in the INfoView. You can start a report either by double clicking on it or by selecting View in the context menu. Still in order to fetch data you have to press the Refresh button in the CR viewer window (in the InfoView).
    In the CMC I assume that you are using the Run now option in the context menu. Please note that this will just schedule your report immediatelly. hen the report is scheduled a new instance is created hich is available in the History of the report. In order to see a report in the CMC select again View in the context menu and you can again fetch data by pressing the Refresh button.

    I installed a BPR on unix and it automatically installed the static html pages etc. I also have a instance of apache server running on the unix server. I want to my users to use the browser interface for BPA instead of installing a local client. I am completely lost between the admin guide and the install guide.
    any idea how to enable browser interface ?

    i dont have repository here with me ,and hence will try to help you out with stuff from memory.
    i remember, htmlgen or htmlgenerator was the program which used to generate a folder which had all the files required to run aris/bpa from browser.
    Search for index_lan.html or index_lan.htm or index_app.html or index_app.htm file.The folder containing these files is the folder that i am talking of. In case you dont have any of the files i just mentioned, run htmlgenerator and it will create everything you need.
    Now open the htm/html file in ie and i hope it will lead you forward.

  • How to get detailed fault message in business process when exception?

    In bp, I use "catch all exception" to handle exception. When exception, I get fault message from all of component and write them into log files. But no matter which component throw exception, I cannot get any detailed message, the string writed into log is always null. Why? server.xml has all detailed message and printstack and why cannot I get?

    As far as I know, it's not possible to get the exception message with a catch all. You need to catch each exception separately, and the you will be able to get each message.

    How to edit the iViews  in the business packages already provided by SAP.
    I downloaded and installed the Employee Self Service business package.
    I am able to see the iViews under Portal Content->Content Provided by SAP->End User Content->Employee Self Service->iViews->
    Now I want to include some entities , say a text box to  a particular iView, how can I do this.?
