How to re-upload YouTube video with same settings

I d/l'd a YouTube movie. When I opened it in iMovie, the dimensions and quality appeared (visually) to match what shows on YouTube.
I made some edits (added some titles), and re-uploaded it following the instructions at https://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=165543 which say to

File -> Export -> Compress movie for: Expert Settings -> Share -> Export: Movie to QuickTime Movie -> Options

In the Video section select the following: Compression Type: H264; Frame Rate: 30; Data Rate: Automatic; (if you choose to restrict the Data Rate, make sure to choose the highest value acceptable to you- more bits = better quality); Key Frames: Automatic; Frame Reording: Unchecked

In the Video section click "Size": Dimensions: Set this to the original size of your video (Note: HD resolutions preferred- 1280x720 or 1920x1080)
I tried both "Current" and "1280x720".

In the "Prepare for internet Streaming" section: Select the "Prepare for internet Streaming" and choose "Fast Start" from the drop-down menu.

In the Audio section, make sure that the audio codec is AAC. Always use ACC as the preferred audio codec.
But when I upload to YouTube, the frame is both substantially shorter and narrower than in iMovie. Also, the video is much poorer quality (even after YouTube finishes processing it).
How can I re-upload the movie with the same dimensions and quality as when it was downloaded?
Thanks

re-checking; ignore for now; thx

• HOW CAN YOU WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEOS WITH CC ON? THIS FRUSTRATES ME A LOT. THANKS.

So, I am kinda confused. I searched around the net and all that, and I found out that there's this thing in setting where you turn on the "closed-captioning". So I turned it on and tried watching videos in YouTube but IT didn't work. Also, I remember one time that I can use CCin YouTube. it's weird.
I remember that they said if the Cc were encoded in quicktimes you can see the CC but if it's flash you can't. So I figured it's impossible to watch YouTube videos with CC. However, if anyone knows another way to watch with CC on YouTube, tell me please. Thanks.

Sorry, but I don't know if there is a way.
Also, just to be picky....would you be kind enough to avoid using all caps in your title?

• How to control a YouTube video with buttons created with Edge Animate?

I am able to embed a YouTube video by doing:
var tubeCont = sym.$("tubeCont");
var youtube = '<iframe  width="'+tubeCont.width()+'" height="'+tubeCont.height()+'" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OCbrZvmLY0o?enablejsapi=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen ></iframe>';
tubeCont.html(youtube);
I have some buttons that go to another position on the timeline where a different object is shown. if the video is playing, it will continue playing even if the user cannot see it. Hence, I want to pause or stop the video.
On the button clcik event I have tried:
sym.getComposition().getStage().getSymbol("youtube").$getSymbol("player").stopVideo();
sym.$("youtube").$("player").stopVideo();
youtube.$("player").stopVideo();
sym.getSymbol("youtube").$("player").stopVideo();
sym.getSymbol("youtube").stopVideo();
And other stuff, but I cannot make it doing waht I want.
Any suggestions?

Yes, I tried tubeConf, and it doesn't work either.

• How do I publish youtube videos with i0S7?

When I try to post a video to Youtube I get a "Youtube Not Available" message.  This only began after I installed i0S7.  Any suggestions?

So... You went to the video, then share, then youtube, you signed in, put in a title, description, all that stuff, waited for it to publish, and it wouldn't? I have the same problem, but with iOS 6.

We are evaluating the use of iPod touch devices to record best practice videos on our manufacturing floor and to post to an internal Moodle web site. How can you upload a video from the iPod touch to a site other than YouTube? The Moodle upload interface is expecting a file selection dialog box like windows or OSX. I do not want to have to go through an intermediary step of messing with a pc.
Thanks!

It should be around 7 and a half gigs. In iTunes, across the bottom there should be a bar that show how much storage is being used and by what. (music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
The iPod touch has parental controls built in. You'll find them in Settings. I think they only work for enabling/disabling Safari, Mail, YouTube, and App Store. Here's an app that does more: http://www.mobicip.com/online_safety/ipod_touch

... I want to host the video solely on my website with its own video player (stop, play, pause buttons, etc.).
So, my question is how do I do that, what type of software, video player or html code, etc. do I need to have to make that happen.
that is +a little+ beyond my skills, allthough I did that in the very beginnings of some of my websites a few hundred years ago And it is a little beyond the topic of this board..
to offer at last a few remarks:
• video files are huge.. check your contract, how much webspace your provider offers you.. (1 GB as a start)
• due to size, your guests will generate lots of traffic/bandwidth.. check your contract, how much traffic your provider allows you.. (a few GBs per months)
• the usual dilemma - what codec? YouTube made flv popular (=compatible with 99% of computers, 0% compatible with smart-phones and iPads..); actually, we're (and YT..) in transition to html5, which allows the more lean and 'better' h264 codec.. but do your guests use 'modern' browsers as Safari/FF/GC...? Do you have to offer a 'switch', flv/new? ...
• you have to upload your encoded files to your web-host, add some lines of code which generates a 'player'-experience (= tons of advice and free downloads around the net...); 'link' the code to your site-folders containing the videos - done.
• webspace and traffic
• decision to encode in what ..
• encoding video, probably wth some 3rd party encoder
• some 'website generator software' which allows manual coding for embedding your 'player'-code
=> now you see, HOW convenient iWeb is...
.. which, by the way, supports upload/FTP to 'foreign'/non-MobileMe websites..
perhaps you should try this very Mac-like way as a start..

• How can I create a video with effects using my ipad?

How can I create a video with effects (sepia, B&W, Negative, oval or any other shape borders) using my ipad?  I would Like to keep a higher res and also be able to shrink it down to email or send in a MMS. Or should I just upload it to my PC and mess with it there? Some of the apps I have are very easy to use compared to the learning curve needed for video editing software.
Thanks

Thats the Problem . . . how many apps do I have to try until I find the one I want? I noticed a few will render the video thus losing its original size. When I went to edit it more in iMovie the video was smaller--not good. And what software do you suggest, Templeton, for the PC? I love the apps because they are easy. I dont have hours to mess around on a software to figure out if its something I want. Im looking for simplicity. Maybe Ill get more into it later. I just want to record simple video of my playing the guitar for self analysis and create a short video for family and friends.
Apps:
iMovie
CinemaFXV
VideoFix
Cartoonatic
Video illusion
VidEditor
Software:
Windows Movie maker (wont accept .mov files)
After Effects (Too little time, so much to learn)
Wondershare (Very easy but little choices)
VideoPad (Again. Few choices)

Where are you getting (A) from? There is nothing inherently illegal about it, AFAIK.
You would be incorrect on that.
Commercial music videos are not to be downloaded, nor is there any difference between that and illegal torrent downloading of copyrighted material.
Such actions pertaining to commercial copyrighted videos / music videos (lots on youtube) is not legal.
Any distribution of videos, music or text without the express permission of the copyright-holder is copyright infringement
regardless of all of that, Google/Youtube clearly notes that its against their policy to allow same from their site on such materials (not all, but most of it there).
most such videos are not free and "open public domain" materials

• How can I upload pictures received with iChat to my Mac

how can I upload pictures received with iChat to my Mac

Hi,
I am not sure what you mean.
As Files they are sent in Chats (pic-in-chats) and displayed in-Line.
Or they are sent as Separate Files, invoking the File Transfer Invite Window and you can "Accept' (Download) to the iChat Downloads folder.
If an Active chat has a Pic in it, the pic can be dragged to the Desktop.
Older Chats, if Saved, can also have Pics "grabbed" from them when opened.
To be using an iChat version you need to be using OS X 10.7.x (Lion) or Earlier.
Mountain Lion has Messages. This adds the iOS style iMessages account to what iChat can do.
Pics can be "Saved" to the Desktop the same way.
