How to reactivate recovered iphone 4s after deleting account from icloud

I had all the information erased from my phone on icloud hoping that once i connected to itunes it would reactivate by itself but that has not been the case. In desperation i erased the iphone from my icloud account and that was of no avail either. Itunes keeps asking me to introduce the sim card pin but the iphone does not give that option

Hello kebscafi,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I see that you are getting a pop-up on your iPhone about a SIM PIN.  To learn more about this, and how to resolve this issue, please take a look at the information in the article below.

Have a good one,

When you delete a photo from your iphone does it delete it from the icloud backup?

No, however your next backup will not contain the photo as it is no longer on your phone (and iCloud only saves approx. 3 older backups so the one containing the photo will eventually no longer be available).  Also, a word of caution...it seems like many users end up losing some or all of their photos when restoring to their iCloud backup.  To be safe, don't rely on the backup but instead import your photos (and videos) to your computer, as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

  • How can I recover pics that were deleted/emptied from the trash?

I deleted a folder that was named incorrectly, and it turned out to be the bulk of my photos. How can I recover these files if the trash was emptied. This is years of pictures.

    Your back up?
Other than that... File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

  • Recovering mail messages after deleting Account

After deleting and recreating my account, I lost all my Inbox and Sent messages. I did a back up before I did this (mbox). However when I try to reimport (Import data from "other"), I navigate to the messages folder (which I backed up to an external drive), but I get a message "Error: No valid mbox files were found". The messages are all there, in a folder as .emix files, and I can open them up when I double click. I realize that I can reimport them into Mail by the Move command, but it appears I would have to do this one message at a time (and I have hundreds!).
Is there something I can be doing here to remedy the problem?
    Thanks,
    Carl

If your accounts are POP and you didn't delete the messages, then I suspect they are still there, but Mail doesn't know it. So try this:
    1. Quit Mail if it's running.
    2. Go to ~/Library/Mail and delete the Envelope Index file(s).
    3. Restart Mail and wait for it to import your existing messages. When it's finished, Mail should function normally and all your email should be back where it belongs with any luck.

  • How can I move an email without deleting it from iCloud server?

I have local rules on my Mac to move emails from certain people into their own local folders, and sound a unique alert.  The problem is that it appears that moving it causes it to be deleted from iCloud's IMAP server, and therefore not delivered to my iOS devices.
When I changed the rule to copy rather than move, I'm left (of course) with duplicate emails in the local Inbox folder.
I tried creating iCloud Mail folders and using iCloud Mail rules to move certain emails into those folders.  The problem is that I can't sound the alert: it appears that Mac Mail rules only apply to mail coming directly into the Inbox.  (Also, only iCloud Inbox items get 'pushed' -- the mail in my John folder can only be retrieved when Mac Mail polls every N minutes.)
I'm new to IMAP, so I may have missed the solution.  Can anyone suggest how, using iCloud Mail, I can:
See the same email in my Mac and all my iOS devices
Automatically route certain email to special folders and sound an alert, at least on the Mac
    Thanks-
    Chap

Double tap the home button. THe app icons will line up along the bottom of the screen. Scroll sideways to find hte one you want, hold your finger down on it until you see a little minus in a red circle. Tap on that then single tap the home button to exit the mode. You've just force closed the app.

  • How do i recover disk space after deleting windows partition?

I have a macbook pro running on maverick. I removed the windows partition using bootcamp assistant, but I did not gain the disk space back. The disk space is 500gb but it's still showing 250gb?

Yes, that matters. So your partition map looks something like this:
You see one single space surrounded in blue with the disk name in the center, sort of like the above. But, you say that this space is only 250 GBs of your 500 GB drive. In other words the space in the Size field reads 250 GBs, mol? Am I correct in my understanding?
I suggest you might give this a try: repair the hard drive using Disk Utility. Then restart the computer. See if that recovers the space. It would also help if you could send me a screen image like mine but of your Disk Utility display on the same settings.

  • How can i recover my voicemails after updating my iPhone?

How can i recover my voicemails after updating my iPhone?

When one restores an iPhone from its own backup, visual voicemail is also restored. However, when one restores a new iPhone from a backup from a previous phone, the voicemails fail to restore. This occurred between my 3G to 4s, and again from the 4s to a 5s. Restoring the 4s once from its own backup resulted in voicemail recovery.
My only explanation is that when a different SIM card is used, voicemails cannot restore as one would otherwise expect. Perhaps voicemails are inexplicably tied to their SIMs. Unfortunately, newer models of iPhones tend to use exceedingly different sizes, rendering one possible fix unpursuable. iBackupBot is the other possible solution: you can extract the voicemails from the backup and restore them onto the new iPhone individually.

Close Photoshop Elements Editor and Organizer.
    Navigate to:
    //Library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/11.0/Locale/en_US/
    Delete the file Mediadatabase.db3.
Re-launch Photoshop Elements Editor. A progress bar appears as the media database is re-created. Wait for this process to complete. It make take some time and the screen may periodically go blank; so go away and get yourself a coffee and be patient.
N.B. If you have any of your own custom effects, you may need to re-create/re-install them.

Thanks a lot, Frank. The lsregister did the trick! I am testing this on 10.8.2.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24770 : I deleted the "com.apple.LaunchServices.plist", and restarted the Finder, even logged off and on again; did not change anything. The file has not been recreated, so it may not be used anymore.
    http://itpixie.com/2011/05/fix-duplicate-old-items-open-with-list/#.ULZqa6XAoqY
The direct "copy and paste" from the post did not work: I had to retype it :
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
but then it worked like a charm!
    Cheers
    Léonie
And btw: I turned on the "-v" option for the lsregister to see, what was going on, and saw plenty of error messages (error -10811); so I repeated the command with "sudo". After that I still saw five iPhotos. Repeating as regular user finally got rid of the redundant iPhoto entries. It looks like registering as super user may be causing this trouble.

  • HT4865 I don't have enough storage space on my iPhone 4S to download the new OS7 so how do I save it to iCloud and remove it from my iPhone to make room but not loose the deleted stuff from iCloud?

I don't have enough storage space on my iPhone 4S to download the new OS7 so how do I save it to iCloud and remove it from my iPhone to make room but not loose the deleted stuff from iCloud?

You can't use iCloud like that.  It isn't a general file storage service; it's designed to sync data across your devices.
Some options are to sync all your music or other media off your device, then sync it back on after you update.  Another is to import your photos to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then sync them back to your phone after you update by putting them in a folder, then selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.

  • My storage is almost full on iphone. How do I delete photos from icloud?

My storage is almost full on iphone. How do I delete photos from icloud?

You can just tap Delete Back Up, you don't need to turn off iCloud.
Deleting the backup only permanently deletes the backup from iCloud.  It doesn't do anything the the data currently on your phone.  You will want to create a new backup as soon as possible after doing this, however, as you won't have one until your do.  You can either intiate this manually to create one immediately by connecting your phone to your charger and to wifi, then going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and tapping Back Up Now at the bottom (this will take some time to complete the first time), or you can just connect it to your charger and wifi before you go to bed and it should back up automatically (and continue to do so once daily).
You don't need to manually connect your phone to your computer to back up to wifi, but it's a good idea to create a second backup using iTunes occasionally in case your iCloud backup ever fails (I do this weekly).  To do this, connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now.  (Your phone will continue to automatically back up to iCloud daily; this is just a second, manual backup, on your computer.)
