How to read an E71-encrypted MicroSD in a PC

Hi to everybody.
I think disk encryption it's an excellent feature.  I use it in my laptop, but the main problem is: how can I read the encrypted disk in another environment?
I have my E71 8GB MicroSDHC encrypted by the phone.  it works excellent, but there's a catch: E71 it's USB 2.0 but... doesn't mean it supports High-Speed. It only supports Full-Speed so the transfers must be sticked at 1MB/sec.  Obviously, after encrypting my SDHC, I cannot extract from the cellphone and try to read in a computer, like I did before.  My SDHC is Class 6, so the 15MB/sec transfer is wasted.
Anyone knows a software/driver/whatever-you-know that I could use to read the encrypted memory in a PC?
Thanks in advance.

First of all forget about USB 2, microSDHC, Class x, or whatever per sec transfer rates of anything.
Encryption is only an excellent feature if you know what it is. At best, it makes your data completely secure; at worst, it makes it completely useless.
As far is your phone data is concerned, on the card you used, you will only ever be able to use or access it if you can remember the password you used to enable the encrytion in the first place and in the E71, not on a PC.
The encrypted disks, partitions, folders, files, or anything else on any PC or laptop you have is completely different. They can only be unencrypted by you knowing the relevant password(s) to your laptop or pc.
It isn't clear to me whether you are asking for advice or to solve a problem you have ?

    If Reader ISN'T in the list of prpgrams to open with, click "Browse"
    In the "Browse window" go to C/Program files [or Program Files (x86)]/Adobe/Reader 11/Reader
    Select "AcroRd32.exe" and click "Open"
    Make sure "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is checked and click "OK".

    How do I access my encrypted User Account files from my Back Up hard drive?  Time Machine  was used to create the back up disk; File Vault was used to encrypt the files.

    Thanks.  I will try going through TM.  Since my Simpletech is on the way out, I'll be plugging in a new external hard drive (other than the back-up drive) and trying to restore the library to the new drive.  Any advice or warning if this is NOT the right thing to do?
    Meanwhile, that is a great tip to do an alternate back-up using a different means.  It's been tough to figure out how to "preserve access" to digital images and files for posterity, knowing the hardware will always fail/obsolesce sooner or later, and that "clouds" are only as good as their consistent and reliable accessibility.  Upping the odds with redundancy will help dull the edge of my "access anxiety", though logically, it can never relieve it.  Will look into

  • How to read the statistics graph?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to troubleshoot some network issues. I have an AirPort Express connected to a DSL modem and acting as a wireless router. One computer connected is a Mac Pro with an AirPort Extreme card, and the other is a PC laptop with an Intel 2200BG wireless card. Both computers are connected, using the internet, sharing files, etc. I am using WPA2 encryption.
    The Mac has a good stable connection while the PC disconnects frequently. The thing is that the PC is just a few feet away from the router, while the Mac is in the other room. Moreover, both computers show an excellent connection in their status.
    I've opened Airport Utility in order to diagnose the problem. Looking at the statistics graph, I cannot seem to understand how to read it. I'm confused by the negative signals vs. noise signals, etc.
    Unfortunately, I cannot post a screenshot here, but here are the readings:
    PC: Signal: -24, Noise: -95, Rate: 54
    Mac: Signal: -73, Noise: -84, Rate: 78
    This is cryptic to me, so I'd appreciate any explanation of the data.
    Thanks!

    PC: Signal: -24, Noise: -95, Rate: 54
    Mac: Signal: -73, Noise: -84, Rate: 78
    In general, the greater the value, the better. Both Signal & Noise are measured in dBm. dBm is a measure of absolute power output. An increase in 10 dBm = 10x increase in output power.
    We would use these values to calculate the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). SNR = Signal - Noise.
    To use your measurements for examples, the SNR would be:
    o PC: -24 dBm -(-95 dBm) = 71 dB
    o Mac: -73 dBm -(-84 dBm) = 11 dB
    To put this into perspective, the SNR influences the instantaneous data rate (speed). The higher the SNR, the higher the data rate (up to the maximum bandwidth of the radio being used).
    For reference, use the following SNR Guideline:
    o 40dB+ SNR = Excellent signal
    o 25dB to 40dB SNR = Very good signal
    o 15dB to 25dB SNR = Low signal
    o 10dB to 15dB SNR = Very low signal
    o 5dB to 10dB SNR = No signal
    Again, going back to the SNRs we just calculated, the PC is getting an excellent connection to the AX, while the Mac is not.
    Finally, the 'Rate" value is a near instantaneous measure of the data rate or throughput. It is measured in Mega bits per second (Mbps). Its value should never exceed the maximum bandwidth appropriate for the radio mode. For 802.11g that bandwidth would be 54 Mbps; for 802.11n (2.4 GHz), 130 Mbps, and for 802.11n (5 GHz), 300+ Mbps.

  • How can i find my encryption password?

    i totally forgot my encryption password and i need help...

    Hello APaq17. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
    According to my deskside support i need to figure out my SSID.
    The SSID is the same as the wireless Network Name. By default, your AirPort Express Base Station (AX) will broadcast a wireless network with a Network Name of "Apple Network NNNNNN" unless you changed it.
    How do i find my encryption type?
    By default, the AX's wireless network would be unencrypted. You enable wireless encryption by using the AirPort Utility. Depending on the model of your AX, it should be capable of providing the following security types: WEP, WPA, & WPA2.
    (ref: AirPort Utility > Select the AX > Manual Setup > AirPort > Wireless > Wireless Security)
    Where can i find my password or network key?
    Again this would be something you would have created when enabling wireless encryption.

  • How to read characters from a string ?

    Hi,
    In my java program I accepted string from the user and now I want to calculate the length of the string, and then read characters one by one to encrypt it.

    public class A
      public static void pokeAtString( String s )

  • How To read an XML file with JDom

    I have read through some tutorials after installing JDom on how to read an existing XML file and I was confused by all of them. I simply want to open an XML file and read one of the node's content. Such as <username>john doe</username> this way I can compare values with what the user has entered as their username. I am not sure were to start and I was hoping someone could help me out.
    I know that this seems like an insecure way to store login information but after I master opening and writing XML files with JDom I am going to use AES to encrypt the XML files.

    Here is a test program for JDom and XPath use considering your XML file is named "test.xml" :import org.jdom.input.*;
    import org.jdom.xpath.*;
    public class JDomXPath {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
      SAXBuilder saxBuilder = new SAXBuilder("org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser");
      try {
       org.jdom.Document jdomDocument = saxBuilder.build("test.xml");
       org.jdom.Element usernameNode = (org.jdom.Element)XPath.selectSingleNode(jdomDocument, "//username");
       System.out.print(usernameNode.getText());
      } catch (Exception e) {
       e.printStackTrace();
    }(tested with Eclipse)

  • HT201269 how do I get the encrypt iPhone backup password? I'm trying to restore my phone and its asking me enter the password to to unlock your iPhone backup

    how do i get the encrypt iphone backup password??

    Tips here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5162
    If the backup you're trying to restore from is encrypted, you will not be able to use that backup if you can't remember the encrypted backup passcode.
    If on a Mac, & you elected to save the passcode to your Keychain, you can recover the passcode from your Keychain. Otherwise, your backup data is unrecoverable.
    While you can continue to sync/backup, if you can't remember it & want to remove it, you'll have to delete your existing backups, & restore your phone as a new device. Your data will be unrecoverable.
    You delete your existing backups here: iTunes>Preferences>Devices.

    iTunes shows I have an encrypted backup under preferences.   It's got the pad lock. When I click restore the encrypted backup is not an option. I've been test MDM products and may have caused this. How do I restore the encrypted backup.

    I just came here today to ask the same question.
    I have an iPod Gen2 with version 4.2.1 iOS, and iTunes 11.0.2.26
    My iPod Touch was running sluggish so I backed up and selected the "Encrypt local backup" to "back up account passwords used on my iPod".
    I selected a password for this backup and restored my iPod Touch.
    When I went to restore from backup, that encrypted backup is not available on the drop down list.
    However, if I go to the top of ITunes and click "Edit", "Preferences" "Device", it shows the back up with the pad lock on it.
    I thought I was being smart backing up with encryption to back up account passwords, but now I have lost everything.
    So many people have the issue where it asks for a password when they never told iTunes to do an encrypted backup and here we are with an encrypted backup, and we know the password, but we don't get the option to restore from it.

    1. Create a GUI form which gives the ability for user to choose a XML file (ok)
    2. Load XML and return the file (ok)
    3. Read the file from node to node to create the node in Tree View (?!)
