  • Mac Mini Sever - Public Share - how enable read and write permissions for new remote files

    Hi,
    this Sunday a friend ask me to help hum with a problem on is Man Mini Server. He has a small office and uses the mini server to share a public folder to all his employees.
    Everyone that creates a file, saves it to the public folder at the mini mac.
    That problem is that, who creates the file owns it and remains with read-only permissions to everyone else. The owner has to change the file permission in order to the rest of the employees can work on it.
    I do not know mac arquitecture, I only work with windows and linux, but i suspect the principles are the same.
    We try to create another folder , and share it, but it happens the same. Have you any ideas on what is wrong?
    I suspect it has anything to do with de file Sharing at the mini mac, but it has read and write permissions for everyone.

    signed applet. You aren't going to find any easy way to distribute that policy file to users, and that policy file, if you asked me to put it on my PC, I'd tell you to take a flying leap. That would open any applet to access.

  • Read and average n data from text file

    I acquire numeric data from the oscilloscope [reading a waveform] that is stored in one column in a text file.
    I need to read in selectable amount of data points to average/plot them.
    So basically I wanna have a text file with millions of data points but I wanna plot say only every 1000. data point. I have tried many things I found here on the forum but as I am new to LabView, none of them really worked.
    Does anybody have a suggestion.

    among others I have tried to build the VI below but somehow I cannot get to the desired solution because according to the indicators it always stops after the first loop.

  • Read and write compressed data from blob in ADF

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement where i need to compress/zip the file, if the file is greater than 2MB and store in database.
    And i need to extract it from database in download dialog as zip file.
    Please suggest me, i m using JDev 10.1.3.5 and using inputFile component or please redirect me to any examples or demos.

    I am first uploading file and if the file is more than 2MB, i am compressing it. i used the below method for compressing.

    You need to parse it and then insert the records into your
    database.
    Take a look at
    CFJSON it is a JSON
    serialiser and de-serialiser.
    Once you have converted it to native CF datatypes you can
    loop through it and insert it into your database.

    I am new to Labview and i wanted to use it in my project where i get accelerometer values X,Y and Z serially into a notepad and then displaying those values in Labview as a 3D plot or graph.The problem i am facing is the use of Cover to dynamic data express VI and how to save the array in a notepad or a lvm file.i was testing a basic block of building x and y values separately.was successful in plotting it to  graph but dont know how to save those values in a file.Can some1 please help me out in his ??

    Thank you for looking into this. Since I was converting into dynamic data before writing it I thought you have to convert it after reading but then I got stuck as to whether build the array again so as to display it in the graph. Dennis I did what you said and the graph on reading is a bit funny just started today and I am kinda skipping the long tutorial due to shortage of time. sorry

    Accessing the file system directly from a web app is a bad idea for several reasons. See http://weblogs.java.net/blog/simongbrown/archive/2003/10/file_access_in.html for a great discussion of the topic.
    On Weblogic there seems to be two ways to access files. First, use a File T3 connector from the console. Second, use java.net.URL with the file: protocol. The T3File object has been deprecated and suggests:
    Deprecated in WebLogic Server 6.1. Use java.net.URL.openConnection() instead.

    Hello everyone, thanks for viewing my post.  I want to know how to read and write on ntfs partitions under sata hd on my arch64 system.  I'm using kde as my de and dolphin does sees it but can't access it anyway.  I didn't had problem so far on mounting usb drives it just automounts maybe because it is a fat partition not a ntfs?  Please I need your help...Thanks in advance:)

    You will most likely need to rework your fstab.  The one from my desktop is shown below. If you want regular users to be able to access the partition, then you will need to change the gid option as I have done. Although you could create a group just for people you want to have access.
    You will need to know the device that your windows partition is held on of course. In my case it is my first hard disk, first partition, hence /dev/sda1.

    My XP partition is set to mount automatically, as I regularly interchange documents between the OS's.

It is then up to you to split that string up (search for split string on this forum for methods) into it's individual components.
    If the text file contains a standard structure on each line, i.e. it is a fixed delimited structure, then you could use external tables to read the data instead.

    I have download NewtonSoft.json version 5.0.8.
