How to read my iCloud email from another IOS device that belongs to someone else?

The other day I had to check my @me email on my brother's iPad.  When I typed icloud.com in the Safari app all I got was a "how to setup icloud".  I don't want to go through the hassle of setting up my email account on his iPad just to check my email once on his device. Does anyone know how to get around this?
Thank you!

Theres a way you can do it ... But sadly, your brother should have a 3rd party browser installed ... I suggest iCab mobile browser ... Its only $2 and the amount of things yu can do with it is endless .. So here are the steps to follow to access ur @me account on ur brothers ipad ..
1. Install iCab Mobile Browser
2.  Go to settings with in the app (top-right corner theres a gear icon)
3. Once your in settings scroll down and select Browser ID , then select Firefox 4.0(Windows).
The above step makes icloud.com see as if yu were logging in from a windows PC ..
4. Icloud.com will open and allow yu to sign in .. So now yu can have access to ur mail and notes and find my iphone and etc ..
Works 100% , try it and let me know ... Other things yu can do with icab mobile browser are : download videos , files , upload photos to facebook and much much more ..

  • How do I remove an app from the update list that is under someone else's apple id?

How do I remove an app from the update list that is under someone else's apple id? So this way the update always fails because it asks for someone else's password. I don't have the app on my mac, it only appears in the update list. It's just annoying, because the update keeps appearing, and the reminder keeps reminding me that I should install a new update.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
    File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
    Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
    Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
    Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
    4. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

  • HT5372 Closing iCloud tab from another iOS Device

I have an iCloud tab open on a device that I wiped out and sold. The website is showing up in the cloud on my other devices. How can I close this?

Quote (last sentence http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5372): "If you no longer have access to the device that that you used to browse that tab, the tab will automatically be cleared from the list after 7 days, if not updated."

  • How can I share a playlist with another iOS device that they can play when they're offline?

I have created a playlist in iTunes for someone in my family and have authorised him for home sharing. He can listen to the playlist when on our wifi at home, but how can he listen to it on his iPhone when he is away from home?

What you are asking isn't possible as devices must be logged in to the same wifi and with the same Apple ID for Home Sharing to work.

  • How do I get iCloud mail from another computer?

I would like to access my iCloud mail from a friend's computer. How do I do that?

I apologize for making an incorrect assumption.  After searching now for about 30 minutes I cannot find one conclusive article from Apple that states in plain terms that you cannot access your iCloud email from another computer. I cannot find anything in the ASC when i do a search either. That really seems absurd to me, and probably another reason why I refuse most of the iCloud services myself.
Anyway, that is of not help to you and I apologize for that. This is the most conclusive evidence that I can find that states that you can't read iCloud email on another computer unless that computer is set up with iCloud.

I hope for your sake, that I am missing something and it is possible to access mail from another computer, otherwise it is really pointless to rely on iCloud email. I/we have to be missing something somewhere ... I hope.

  • TS1702 This app will not be deleted from any iOS device that synchronizes with your iTunes library.

How do you remove an app from your iPad? I have synced the iPad and attempted to remove and this is the messgae I receive:
This app will not be deleted from any iOS device that synchronizes with your iTunes library.
HELP! Get rid of these Doodle Gods, Kick the Buddy, etc....

As Jim states, that procedure deletes the app and its associated documents from the device itself. At next sync, the deletion should propagate and get rid of the backup on iTunes as well.
If not, you can also manually delete that backup. Go into iTunes on the computer you sync the iPad with. If needed, select Show Sidebar in the View menu. Choose Apps under Library in the sidebar. Click on the All tab in the middle of the window. Scroll about till you locate the offending app amongst the bunch of icons. Right-click or Control-click on it and choose Delete from the popup menu. If the app is gone already on the device, there should be no warnings.  You should delete from the device first and sync, so this manual step becomes unnecessary.

  • How do I access iCloud email from a browser on a Mac?

I am trying to access iCloud email from a borrowed Mac.  I don't want to set up my iCloud account on this Mac since it's not mine.  My understanding is you can access iCloud via a browser, but when I sign into iCloud I am prompted to set up iCloud on the device, which is exactly what I do not want to do.  This was using "mail.icloud.com" which was my best guess at a URL.  I know iCloud email cannot be accessed via a browser on iPads, etc., but it should be accessible on Macs via browser from what I have read.
Anyone know how to do this?  Am I using the wrong URL?

Well, the good news is I have the URL correct.
But regardless of whether I use http://icloud.com or http://mail.icloud.com, I still get prompted with a dialog box which says the following:
"Setup iCloud on a device to use iCloud.com"
If I click "Close" I end up back up at the sign in screen and have to enter my username/password again.
If I click "Learn More", my only other choice, I end up on some sort of help page that tells me how to set up iCloud on this device.  Which is precisely what I don't want to do.  I just want to access a webmail page like, for example, gmail.
I don't see any "Mail" icon there.
    Thanks for the reply.

  • How do you create an email alias using iOS device

I want to create an email alias, I have a MacBook and an iPhone but I can't figure out how to do it on either. As far as I can tell the only way I have been able to access the icloud mail preferences is through icloud.com however you can't access icloud.com on any iOS device. I've been trying to figure it out all day so would really appreciate any help

You should be able to access it from Safari on your MacBook, or another computer.
You can only access it on an iOS device if you use an altrenative browser like iCabMobile Web Browser, and set the Browser ID in the app's settings to Safari (Mac).

  • Cant get iCloud emails on my iOS devices

    Hi,
This is been going on for a while. I was hoping the issue would resolves itself with upgrades but it never did.
I had .mac, .me, and .iCloud e-mail accounts that always worked fine on my Mac's.
On my iOS devices I had an .mac account. No problem sending mails, but for receiving it's an other story!
I sometimes saw some emails pushed on my devices and when I tried to open them, they simply disapeared. Nowhere to be found, not in trash, not in archives, nowhere at all.
Most of the time, I simply never get any emails at all. But, I can always sent some.
I thought by deleting the .mac, .me accounts it would maybe change something, it did not.
I shut down the iCloud account and reopened it, no change either.
Start, restart the devices... no changes.
Every settings are opened and activated in Mail, Contacts, Calendar on both of my devices.
I've search every support communities with no clear answer to resolve my problem.
I could use some help with this anoying situation.
    Thank's

I've enabled iCloud drive on all of my devices, and I want to share everything on every device. How do I browse my iCloud drive on my iOS devices? If I upload a PDF, for example, how do I view it on my iPad?

  • IMovie 10.0.5: How to import an iMovie project from an iOS device

This description (iMovie '11: Import an iMovie project from an iOS device) seems no longer accurate because:
    a) the command "Send project to iTunes" is NOT available in iMovie for iOS 2.0 (791)
    b) editing an imported project in the iMovie theater in iMovie 10.0.5 seems NOT possible (at least I don't know how).
So how would I import an iMovie project from an iOS device (version 2.0 791) to iMovie on Mac (10.0.5)?
    Thanks in advance!

I too are having difficulty trying to import a project from iMovie iOS (iPhone) to iMovie 10.0.5 on my mac mini.
I found how to export the file to iTunes. you simply share it and the send to iTunes option is in there. But when i try to open the files after i have transferred to my documents folder, they do not open or import. The file has a  .iMoiveMobile file extension, which does not seem to be correct.
    Can anyone help further ?

  • How Can i Move iCloud Email to Another Apple ID

    Hi There
    I have 2 Apple IDS
Apple ID 1 is linked to my imessage and linked to an @me.com email address
Apple ID 2 has no icloud email
I basically want to move my icloud (@me.com) email address to the Apple ID 2 and use that for iMessage as well as my Apple ID
When i change my icloud username to Match Apple ID 2, it doesnt wants me to create a new icloud email address.
How can I move my icloud email address linked to Apple ID1  to Apple ID 2?

I don't believe you can.  @me.com email addressses are permanently tied to the iCloud account that created them (in your example, ID1) and can't be moved.

  • How do you stop an email from continually being recovered that has completely stopped any new mail from being received?

In trying to send an oversized video via email (exceeded 25 MG) size limit, I got an error message. I thought I deleted the email. However, whenever email is open, the message continually gets recovered, blocking any email from being recieved. I am able to create and send emails. Internet checks out ok. Using AOL.iMap. It seems that I am not able to interrupt the continual attempts to send the original email.

To those who have viewed my question, thank you. I found the solution under "Mail sending and recovering emai!" I went to Email Preferences, Advanced, and selected "Dont't keep copies of any messages" on the pull down of Keep copies of messages for offline viewing:, saved changes and problem solved. Thanks,

  • Making sent, non-iCloud email available across iOS devices?

I use iCloud for my personal email. I have a .mac account and it works well. At work, my company email is set up on my Mac and iOS devices, and all incoming email is received on all of them. But my outgoing business email is only stored on the device from which I wrote it. How can I change my setup so that I can access all my sent business email on all devices?
My company email is an IMAP account and is set to use port 993 for outgoing mail. (not that I actually know if this matters, or what I'm even talking about...)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No, as I mentioned, my business mail is not an iCloud account. However, I have added the account to my iCloud-enabled devices (iPhone and iPad), and I receive incoming mail on them all. I am looking for a way to see my outgoing, non-iCloud business email on all devices, not just on the device I used to write the email.

  • Restoring email from an iOS device

    Hello Folks!
Recently a good friend's account was hacked... needless to say they've finally turned on two factor authentication.  Here's what's I'd like to confirm, they have several devices syncing with iCloud. One of those devices is an iPad mini, which at the time of the hack, where all the addresses in the address book and current at the time mails where deleted, was turned off, and had no battery left meaning it was dead.  The iPad has now been backed up to a different computer. We can see a lot of the original emails on the device that had not been deleted from when the hack occurred.
When we finally log this device in will it merge or ask us to merge all the emails on the iPad and place them in iCloud, or will they be overwritten since iCloud doesn't think they exist anymore?
Appreciate your input and suggestions on this one, simply because if we log in and they are overwritten they're gone...
    THX
    Mr. "P"

Just as an update, after moving all the mail on the iPad and sync... no messages were moved anywhere and only remain on the iPad.  Will up thread if more progress is had.
thanks Glen for walking with me on this one.
