How to realize a multiple window OI by LabVIEW?

I am a new user to the teststand, and I am trying to setup a multiple window user interface by LabVIEW, and I follow the instruction of the TeststandreferenceManual,
It says that
"the main window contains controls that enable the user to open sequence files. For each sequence file that you open, the application creates a Sequence File window that contains a SequenceFileView Manager control and a SequenceView control to which it connects. The application sets the SequenceFileViewMgr.UserData property to attach a handle, reference, or pointer that represents the window. "
but if the main window doesn't have a sequence file view manager, how can it open a sequence file? also how to ask the application manager to open a window that has a sequence file viewmanager and sequence view control, aren't those created by drag and place and can be put by program dynamically?

I want to make a Menu Bar that can let you choose from diferent levels of options
For Example if I want to insert a word that says Created by to a letter the user will go to:
Insert-->Autotext-->Header/Footer-->Created By:
and the word "Created By:" will appear in the letter.

  • How can I have multiple WINDOWS (NOT tabs) with INDEPENDENT content?

How can I have multiple '''windows''' (''not ''tabs) with '''independent''' content?
I used to be able to open separate windows with Firefox, and the content could be completely different in each window. No matter what I did in any window, no OTHER window open at the time, nor any of the content therein, was affected. This is no longer the case and it is extremely frustrating for me.
I do ''not ''like tabs and do not use them. I prefer multiple windows plus I am so used to using them, for so many years now! But with v9.0.1 I suddenly can no longer do what I've always done with my browser without this aggravating problem constantly reminding me that I can't have what I want in firefox anymore.
Or can I? Does anyone have a solution I don't realize exists?
    Thanks,
    Sowelu

AppleScriptObjC can use pretty much everything in the Cocoa API, so yes, it is possible.
Note that a view is not the same as a window, and a window can have multiple views. There are also many ways to implement "tabs";  take a look at some of Apple's applications - they use various mixtures of toolbars, checkboxes, and radio buttons, for example.  An application such as this will be a lot more involved than what you have done so far though, using custom classes and subclassing existing ones, so be prepared to do a lot of reading and researching.

  • How do i open multiple windows in itunes 11?

how do i open multiple windows in itunes 11?

At the Entourage menu bar, go to File > New and select Open New Main Window. You can open an additional two main windows and select the Address Book for one and the Calendar for the other.
To navigate to a different window, at the menu bar go to Window and select Mail, Address Book or Calendar.
The Mail.app does not incorporate all 3 applications. You can have the Mail.app, Address Book and iCal launched and running and select between each from the Dock along with other ways to do so. The Mail.app also includes an Address Book panel to view all Address Book contacts or to select from when addressing a message. You can't add to, delete or edit contacts from the Mail.app Address Book panel.

    billyg27,
if you hold down a Command key and press the Tab key, it will show a set of icons representing your currently opened programs. Press Tab until you arrive at the program you’d like to switch to, and then release the Command key.

  • How do I open multiple 'windows' in Entourage?

I am using MS Entourage and would like to be able to open multiple windows within that program. For example, I would like to have both my calendar and address book opened at the same time in different windows. I have looked all over for a way to do this, but I have not had any luck. Any ideas? Please forgive me if this is an easy answer. I am still new to the Mac world, but love it so far. Thank you.

  • How can I implement multiple windows/tabs in my Main-Menu?

I don't really know how to explain it. As an example, Skype has roughly 20 windows bundled with it, that are switched to when you click things like "Skype-Home" and "Profile". The layout changes too drastically to change the way it looks through just code, and it's not a new window being opened, it stays in the same window, the same main-window. I was wondering if this is possible through Cocoa-Applescript, and if so, what are the necessary steps to achieve this.
Taking it one step further, and if the above is possible, how could I implement a "tab" system in the application? The image below is an example of what I mean.

AppleScriptObjC can use pretty much everything in the Cocoa API, so yes, it is possible.

  • How do I merge multiple windows into 1 window with several tabs?

In Safari it is possible to merge several open windows into 1 single window, with each window becoming a new tab within the new window, so you can easily switch from tab to tab. I cannot find how to do this in Firefox - does anyone know if it is possible? Thanks.

    Try Tab Mix Plus.

Are you referring to the system-wide Exposé functions or a Safari-specific 'Exposé-esque' feature?
The former can be configured in the 'Dashboard & Exposé' preference pane in System Preferences. Hitting tab with either 'All windows' or 'Application windows' displayed will allow you to browse through the various windows on a per application basis.
The latter is available as part of Saft. With Saft installed, the 'Show Tab Thumbnails' under the 'View' menu will line up your 'mini screens or windows'.

  • How can i show multiple windows on start?

    Hi everybody:
I have an application that need to show 5 windows at the same
time when the application is started. The 5 windows are seen but
the canvas is not shown, so, i see 5 windows with no elements. I
have tried with SHOW_WINDOW built in, but it only shows the
window, not the canvas. If i use the GO_ITEM built in, in one
item from each block i can only see the last block visited.
Is there any property that i must change in canvases? (the
raise on entry is in "yes"); i have to do anything else?
    Thanks.

Windows have a property called "Primary Canvas". This sets what
canvas should be shown in a window by default.
Typically Forms knows what to display because the cursor is in
an item, the item is on a canvas, the canvas is required to set
its Window...you see the window with everything in it.
The window property primary canvas for when you do a show_window
and do not navigate to anything in the window.
    Thanks,

  • How Can I run multiple independant sessions of LabVIEW on one pc?

I have tried to accomplish this by creating a second LabVIEW.exe named LabVIEW2.exe. Then I run the original and launch my application, run LabVIEW2.exe and I get a new splash screen but no new instance of LabVIEW in the Task Manager. I have seen this work before on different computers running all the same software. Any suggestions........

    > Can you provide any more info
    > about the computers that did this?
Some applications on Windows will open a new instance each time their
EXE is opened or double clicked on. Since LV is able to multitask many
different VIs and applications, and it is typically useful to reuse
subVIs, so it was decided that these actions would just open the already
running LV. If you want to run more than one LV, rename it. Whenever
you are wanting to open a VI into a particular LV, you really can't
trust double clicking. The OS decides which app to launch or connect
to, and it is rather difficult to predict what the outcome will be. For
this reason, either drag-n-drop the VI/LLB to the EXE, or use open from
    within the EXE.

How do I open multiple windows?

Tho old view of several thumbnails has been replaced by tabs. There is no way to view the thumbnails in Safari under iOS 5. Try looking at some alternate browsers in the app store to see if any of those might suit your wants a little better.

How do I open multiple windows on microsoft Surface? I'm a grad student and would like to have multiple PDF windows open or availible while I use Microsoft Word. Is this possible?

Other user asked a similar question a couple days ago - except the question was in French and the other app was Microsoft Excel (not Word).
Please see the option (b) for running two apps side by side in this post.

It may not be an ideal solution for you.  But this may be the only option you have if your device is running the Windows RT operating system.  You can install Adobe Reader XI (desktop app) if your device is running the Windows 8 operating system.
