How to REALLY COMPLETELY uninstall HP software

Working for months to re- install C6180 All-in-One software. Best I can do is workaround to print. Cannot install full prog because residual files exist making install think prog is already there and tries to update instead. Found many locations in winsys but cannot/not allowed (even with permissions) be deleted.
Processes tried:
Removed with control panel
removed with HP uninstall Prog
Deleted all known HP from Registry

How to COMPLETELY uninstall and Re-install HP drivers & software for Win 7
Uninstall with Revo Uninstaller. First with HP Uninstall, then followup w/Revo
Find and run All-In-One Software Removal four times. Reboot last time
Search AND DELETE any temp files for anything begining with 7Z (i.e., 7ZQYTD.***)
Click the Start Menu:
Open a command prompt and select Run as administrator
Type:   net stop spooler <hit enter>
Type:   net start spooler <hit enter >
Type:   exit  <hit enter >?
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to %systemroot%\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86
NOTE: %systemroot% is usually C:\Windows, but it might be "winnt" or something else; this is set when the OS is installed.  Most systems are like this  C:\Windows
\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86
Inside the w32x86 folder there will be other folders and files.  Delete everything inside but DO NOT delete the w32x86 folder. Also 64 folder.
Restart the computer
Click START > in  "Search for programs and files", type in CMD ,
In the pop-up list, right click on CMD , then clcik on "run as administrator". A command prompt window will be opened.
In the Command prompt window type in the below command ....
msiexec /unregserver      then press ENTER Key.
type in  msiexec /regserver   and then press enter key again.
Now type in   exit  and press ENTER Key.
Now start the installation
Watch for about the 3rd install page that tells what is installing. You MUST click on each hyperlink to OK/Accept terms of each link or will not load.
Install ONLY the main prog file first - then rest one at a time.

How do we completely uninstall Avast anti-virus, latest edition from my Mac?  This product has really messed up my Safari browser with all the extensions and

    Thank you for any advice!

If you don't have an uninstaller:
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
        1. AppZapper
        2. AppDelete
        3. Automaton
        4. Hazel
        5. AppCleaner

Intego has their own uninstaller which is the best thing to use. Otherwise, see the following. From a practical point of view you really don't need any such software on the Mac.

  • How do I completely uninstall ClamAV from my system?

    Hello folks,
How do I completely uninstall ClamAV from my system?
I trashed the application, but once in a while, the system console pops up with the "ClamAV update process" trying to update ClamAV. How do I safely completely get rid of ClamAV from my system?
    Cheers!

If you are talking about ClamXav, this you would need to follow these directions as posted on his website.
    15. How do remove ClamXav and the associated engine?
First, you must download the Engine Remover. When you unzip it (making sure to use either OS X's built-in unzipper or the most recent Stuffit Expander or similar), double click clamavEngineREMOVER.command. This will open up the Terminal where you'll be asked to enter your Admin password. The rest takes care of itself.
Finally, drag the ClamXav application from wherever you installed it, to the trash.

How do I complete uninstalling itunes? when I try installing i get an error message saying it can't find the path ,itunes64.msi missing

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component won't install normally.

+would like to completely remove it so I can use an external one+
Can you please explain this? I really dont know what you mean.

  • How do I completely uninstall an application using Darwin?

    Dear Forum Members,
Hello to everyone, I'm new to the Apple Discussions forum and this is my first post. Recently, I came to understand through online sources that most applications designed to uninstall software do not completely remove everything. Does Darwin have the commands needed to completely uninstall an application? If so, what are they and in what order would I execute them? When the need arises, I would like to know how to do this properly.
My experience in using Darwin is basic but I would like to learn more and become more proficient with its use.
    Thank you,
    AYW?

There is "No" unified uninstall facility.
If the application did not provide its own uninstall script, then you generally drag the application to the trash, then if you are worried about the preferences files you look in $HOME/Library/Preferences and maybe "$HOME/Library/Application Support" for files related to the app you trashed.
If you installed something via open source tools, then you dig through the makefile and look for where stuff was installed, and undo it.

  • How do I completely uninstall Adobe Updater?

    Greetings.
I have been trying to completely remove Adobe Updater from my computational machine, but I'm having troubles as it seems to be stuck in there like a gadfly on a horse' arse. I have uninstalled some very, very annoying toolbars in my time, and I've removed viruses that were a lot easier to remove than this Adobe Updater thing.
    What I've tried:
    - Looking for a bloody uninstall-executable.
    - Removing everything related to Adobe in any way from my computer.
Needless to say, it still came back from the graveyard to haunt me. SO. How do I purge this cursed software once and for all?

Not sure what you're doing, but the AAMUpdater is merely an entry in the registry. It won't go away, but you can prevent it from ever launching. There is no separate install/uninstall. It comes with every Adobe app. Trying to actually remove the files in the OOBE folder would be foolish and damage your Adobe programs...
