How to receive data from my broken iMac?

My iMac G5 broke down for good recently. An electric spike burned it down. Now its power supply and possibly even logic board are broken (it won't even make a beep, no life what so ever). Is it still possible to obtain the data that's stored on its hard drive? If it is possible, how do i do this, or do I have to take it to a service shop.. which by the way is terribly expensive here where i live. I'm not planning to repair my iMac due to huge costs. It's an old mac and not worth all that trouble. The data inside though is important. Thanks a lot!

Do as Jan suggested, put it in another external Firewire enclosure, then connect it to a working Mac and you should be able to see the data. If not, then the drive was fried at the same time the rest of the computer was.

In one of our requirements we would have to make use of the resume/suspend plug in Web Dynpro Abap. Would anyone happen to have any other information on this topic. Is there a sample program available which demonstrates the same?
The requirement is that, I have to call an external window (output screen) from my present screen (input screen). While this external window is active, the calling window (input screen) should be disabled. When the external window (output screen) is closed the input screen should be enabled again. The external window returns a parameter list and this needs to be received by my application. I have read that suspend/resume plugs can be used for this. However, I have not been able to figure out how to use them.
Additionally, is there any other approach for achieving the above functionality.

How to use sda6810 to receive data from a rs485 channel?

I want to use sda6810 to anlyze data from a rs485 bus. So I use Labview to progame the sda6810 with the drivers.Firstly,I intilite the card,then I cofigued an channel to send data from a buffer,and configued another channel to receive data from the first chanel . But unfortunatly the data I received was not equal to the data I sended.And there are not any error messages indicated in Labview
And when I try to use the GP channel,I found it worked properly.please tell me how I can solve the problem?

Depends. what two computer modelss do you have? Do they both have Firewire ports and/or Thunderbolt ports? Do you have a home network with a router that has Ethernet ports available for each computer? Do you have an external hard drive available that could be used to transfer data?

Since the logic board is fried, you can perform a post-mortem yourself.
Go to ifixit.com, and find the instructions to remove the HD. NO warranty, and unit dead ... who cares if you crack the shell.

How to receive XML from Flex HTTP POST

We curreontly have a setup where we have a FLEX frontend send an XML through a HTTP POST and awaiting a response also in XML. On the backend this is handled relatively simply by a PHP script that basically does the following:
read data (in XML)from FlEX HTTP POST into a new temp XML file.
execute a c++ program with the XML file as one of the parameter.
return the result to FLEX
We have decided to move to BlazeDS for various reasons.
Looking at the examples bundled with BlazeDS they have a jsp example that returns an XML result to FLEX so that part is fine. I am trying to find an example of JSP (or Servlet) that is able to read the XML data from FLEX and write it into a temp XML file. I would then try to use runtime.exec to invoke a local C++ program to process the XML file the result of which will be sent back to FLEX.
Any help will be very much appreciated!

I have read how to transfer data and using setup assistant but I am concerned about applications from Apple having the same names.

As you likely know legacy apps that are PPC based will not migrate over. However the data files will. I would urge you to inventory the apps you have and their data files to see how important they are and then look app by app to see what app replacements are available. If you are using Office for Mac prior to the 2008 version you will need to get a new license of the app because the 2004 version was PPC based. The files will come over and are readable by newer version of Office for Mac (I recommend the 2011 version) and also readable by the iWorks apps (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) but those are different apps than Office and work differently and do not have all of the features of the MS Office apps. This is really only a issue if you share files with MS Office users, if you use them for personal work then iWork may be just fine for your needs.
