How to receive local FM radios in my Nokia Lumia 5...

Hi Nokia!!
I am a new user of Nokia Lumia 520 and I have used the Nokia Music to download songs . But I am used to hearing local FM radios while travelling( which is very frequent) and I find this facility is not available in my new phone.
Kindly let me know how this can be sorted.

Thanks found it. Just to make it more obvious. It is within Music+Videos (XBOX frame); Collection; Radio. Uses headphone wires as FM antenna.

If you want your photos to end up in iPhoto, just do a normal sync. If you don't want to use iPhoto, or if you just want to put your phone photos in a normal visible folder on the desktop, luckily when you plug in the iPhone a Mac sees it like a camera or card reader. This means the iPhone will show up in common applications that have an import-from-camera feature. I've copied photos off my iPhone using Apple Image Capture, PhoneView, and Adobe Lightroom, for example.

  • How to set storage location in Nokia lumia 820 for...

    Hi,
I would like to know if and how to define the storage location in my Nokia lumia 820.
I have recently purchased a micro SD card by Kingston and would like to download and install apps, like games who require more storage then my Nokia 820 supports(8GB).
I saw that the only available option set is to choose the the storage for music + videos and pictures from settings/phone storage but no option set could be found for the apps or others.
Please help me with some guidelines or with a proper workaround as I tried unsuccessfully to find the understanding for this in various resources.
Thank you for considering my request.

You can't install applications, Games on the SD Card. Only other thing that you may save on the SD Card is the Maps ..but you need THIS application. Need to log-in using the same credentials that you use on this forum to download it ...

How can I hear fm radio in iphone 4?

The iPhone does not have a FM Tuner, but there are plenty of apps in the AppStore that let you listen to internet streams of local, national and international radio stations.
Personally, I use "TuneIn Radio" which covers almost all my local FM radio stations.

  • How to receive XML from Flex HTTP POST

    Hi,
We curreontly have a setup where we have a FLEX frontend send an XML through a HTTP POST and awaiting a response also in XML. On the backend this is handled relatively simply by a PHP script that basically does the following:
read data (in XML)from FlEX HTTP POST into a new temp XML file.
execute a c++ program with the XML file as one of the parameter.
    return the result to FLEX
We have decided to move to BlazeDS for various reasons.
Looking at the examples bundled with BlazeDS they have a jsp example that returns an XML result to FLEX so that part is fine. I am trying to find an example of JSP (or Servlet) that is able to read the XML data from FLEX and write it into a temp XML file. I would then try to use runtime.exec to invoke a local C++ program to process the XML file the result of which will be sent back to FLEX.
Any help will be very much appreciated!

  • How can i use the radio without the headphones so i can bluetooth to a wireless headset

i have a bluetooth headset on my motorcycle helmet and would like to know how i can use the radio on the nano without putting the headphones in as it shuts down bluetooth and the radio goes through the nano headphones. the music app gives you the option of nano or bloothoth. any help would be appreciated , thanks.

Not possible. The receiver is in the head phone/ headset wire. I tried doing this with my iPod too. If you want hands free sound, speakers work on the radio too. As long as you plug them in to the headphone jack.

using PSTools sysinternal from microsoft, but while i execute one PC on domain for sample using this script, they showing access denied
anyone in this forum can help me to resolve this problem?.

    Dear,
you can use Powershell to do this.
I've found a script in the script center which can do this.
    http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/66a5b38f-cdf1-4126-aa0c-be65e16dd650/view/Discussions#content
    Set-Password -computer 'server' -user 'Administratorlocal'
You can create a loop in powershell to check all your servers which you've posted in a .txt file for example.
    $strcomputers = Get-Content c:\servers.txt
    foreach ($strcomputer in $strcomputers)
    $admin=[adsi]("WinNT://" + $strComputer + "/administratorlocal, user")
    $admin.psbase.invoke("SetPassword", "Whatever1")

  • How to Move Local Users to Network Domain Users

Before you follow these instructions...... I'm a rank amateur so I'd check to see if the smart kids have corrected my errors or improved on the method in the replies below
The reason for the post is I have good and established local user accounts on all the computers and moving them to domain controlled accounts is the one topic I could not find a script to follow that worked for my low level of knowledge of OS X.
Let me first explain my setup and needs. I'm replacing a Windows Home Server (WHS) with the Mac Mini Server. My goal was to have the Mac Mini as the server holding all our photos, data, etc. and running a user account to run the family iTunes account to feed the Apple TV and be the backup / sync point for a family sized set of iPod Touches, iPads and iPhones. I want to be able to log into each mac and have the same information setting, links, etc........ basically walk around the house, find any mac shaped device not used by someone else, log in and carry on where I was before -  with the MacBook Air having a portable account so it can come travelling with us.
    The key hardware is...
Mac Mini Server running Snow Leopard 10.6.8
    Apple TV
    2 x iMac Running Lion 10.7.1 [upgraded from 10.6.8]
MacBook Air running Lion 10.7.1 [upgraded from 10.6.8]
Normal stuff like wifi, hubs and a router doing the DHCP (and for me reserving IP addresses based on the 'MAC Address' to save me having to manually configure all the IP addresses)
Key Resources I used as I learnt how to do this; to level set you all, I'm a relative newcomer to OS X having had a Windows life with Linux for fun, so i'm not a mac or IT specialist but like to play around.
Apple's podcast series 'Apple Quick Tour of Leopard Server'  - this is great, it informed me and kept me motivated through all the bah moments, all 33 episodes and it's in the iTunes store as a podcast.
The book 'Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server For Dummies' - I bought this about half way through the whole process and wish i'd bought it earlier, my reccomendation would be get the Kindle version so you can search it for advice.
The excellent information on DNS from Hoffman Labs http://labs.hoffmanlabs.com/node/1436
The video 'Setting up a primary DNS zone.....' from Lynda.com on youtube  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOEgQY9oFK4
The Series of PDF document on Snow Leopard Server from Apple http://support.apple.com/manuals#mac%20os%20x%20server%20v10.6
And finally this excellent post from Joe Ferrante which was the core of what I used http://joeferrante.net/how-to-migrate-local-user-account-to-network-user-account -with-networked-home-folder-on-snow-leopard-server/
    Right off we go....
Setting up the Server [this took me 6 goes to get it right as I learnt a little each time].
So i'm not going to go through this step by step because it in the 'dummies' book and the videos from Apple above and those will be better than anything I write but here's my details/advice.
I split the primary disc into 2 partitions using disk utility so I could reformat the operating system without moving my data.
100GB for the OS X system
    400GB for user data
Install OS X from the DVD, press the buttons based on your desires but stop at the bit about naming you computer titled Network Names
READ UP ON DNS  - this one of the reason I had so many goes as it was the 1st time i've set up a server like this using DNS and guessing didn't get me there.
If you don't have one buy a domain name for your network it make it much easier in the long run & is $10 well spent
The name needs to be [the computer name].[your domain name].[com or net or org, etc]
So if you want you computer to be called fred and you bought or have the domain location.com enter fred.location.com in the primary DNS name box
This shoud automatically put fred in the computer name box.
Follow along with the set up guide to finish
After you have finished the set up test the DNS with NSLOOKUP in a terminal window
nslookup fred.location.com    in my example and you should get the IP
Add your servers IP address to the list of DNS servers in network preferences on the client mac.
Bind [link] the client computers to the server in Accounts on the client computer - I used the 'dummies' book for this but there's lots of data on the web.
Clean up the user profile on the client to reduce the size of the Home folder as much as possible or the data transfer is loooooooonnnnng - i also connect the iMac on a cable rather than wifi to speed it up.
Read Joe's post http://joeferrante.net/how-to-migrate-local-user-account-to-network-user-account -with-networked-home-folder-on-snow-leopard-server/ and follow along.useful info I learnt somewhere - to get the paths to the folders correct in the terminal window go to the folder in Finder and then drag it to the terminal window and let go - this will put the correct link in the instruction.
You now need to be on a terminal window on your server, with a finder window open and logged into the client as the user you are moving
THE CLIENT COMPUTER NEEDS TO BE LOGGED OUT or logged in as a different user than the one you're trying to move.
so when you're at the right point - type sudo cp -R then hit the space bar, drag the existing user folder onto the finder window, add the /* and hit space then find the users folder on the server and drag that onto the terminal window to complete the instruction.
Hit enter and wait a while assuming it starts ok - i used network traffic on the Activity Monitor utility to check if it was working.
If you got this far and it all worked - login to the profle you moved on any computer linked to the server or the server but not the original client computer to see if it worked and all your setting and data are intact and then delete the profile off the original client if it was ok [archiving the home directory took ages for me].
As you can probably guess most of this was good learning for me and it worked successfully for me in the end, moving all my history, saved password, etc, etc without any problems.
Hope this helps other in the same situation & feel free to expand or correct this if I've missed anything.
    Ed

    Hi,
I was unable to access the Joe Ferrante information (it appears to now requrie a password and was not able to determine how a username and password were assigned)  Would you happen to have a copy of the post that you refer to above?
I am still at the early stages of this process but am hoping that the steps you refer to are going to get me where I want to be.  Your stated end goal is where I hope to get to.
    Thanks,

  • How to configure local disk on OVM Server as storage space to create VMs

    Hello,
We have installed OVM Server 3.1.1 on a machine that has 250 GB of Hard disk space [Single disk].
While installing used an option - Remove all partitions and create a new default partition layout.
Around 4GB has been used and remaining 246 GB is left as free space.
From OVM Manager - the server is discovered but didn't discovered the physical disk [i.e. remaining 246 GB raw disk space].
Can someone help me to understand how to use local disk as storage space for creating and running VM's.
    Thanks
    Srinivas

You can? You've used every conceivable BIOS out there? You must really be full of yourself. There is absolutely no BIOS that I know of that gives this basic function. BIOSs do not "hard partition" anything. A "BIOS" is not made for such things. Do you even know what "BIOS" stands for?
I wonder why there is some many wanting to do this and are having problems.... I mean if it is such a straight forward thing to do..... It must be down right "intuitive".
You maybe speaking of a RAID "BIOS" but you obviously think you're not. Some motherboards have integrated RAID abilities. Intel RST comes to mind... BUT this isn't a feature of a MOTHERBOARD BIOS.
I've got some $50,000 servers that will not break a single hard drive up into multiple logical drives..... Now, I haven't worked on a "Stinkpad" for many years. Don't want to. However, I have never seen one that would do what you're saying you're doing.
You maybe trying to help.... but you're leading people down a wrong path.
Its just as easy to run virtual box and use the virtual box templates for Oracle VM. In fact, its more practical if you want to run Oracle VM on a laptop for testing purposes than blowing everything away and attempting to setup different LUNS on a single hard drive.
    For your review...
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/servers-storage-admin/configure-vm-templates-1656261.html
Although it's more reliable to use a separate location (such as an NFS share) for a storage repository, you can use a local disk of your Oracle VM Server instead, thus taking advantage of the local storage option. Beware, though: Oracle VM Server 3.0 doesn't allow you to utilize the unused space on the physical disk it's installed on. For local storage, you'll need at least one more physical disk. In other words, you'll need a total of two disks at minimum on your Oracle VM Server host if you want to use local storage. In practice, though, local storage is not a primary use case. The major downside to this approach is that local storage, by definition, cannot be shared between different servers.

I was hopeful I could use home sharing to sync my iTunes libraries,
Unfortunately, you can only stream content to your iOS devices via home sharing (not sync it).

What is the process for connecting airport extreme ethernet?  I have ethernet cables connected to stereo receiver for internet radio and another to blue ray player.  The system preference network indicates "ethernet not connected" with red dot to left of this message.  The airport wireless works and has green dot to left of it.  The stereo receiver and blue ray player do not respond and give message not connect to internet.  Thank you.  /  cfpirate

It worked for me finally. I took out the DNS numbers in airport admin utility, and restarted the airport express. I do not remember putting the DNS numbers in, I wonder from where the airport express got those numbers.

  • How many Receiver determination in File to SOAP scenario

    Hi,
I am trying a File -SOAP-File scenario, where file will be send to PI asynchronous. BPM is configured to receive the file and
call the web services and get the response (Synchronous call) .After that BPM send the file asynchronous to File via FTP .
It is basically asynchronous/ Synchronous bridge scenario.
To do this I have  have configured the BPM  & created 3 Communication channel . 1 sender (File) & 2 receivers ( SOAP & File)
But i got confused in Receiver determination. How many Receiver determinations do we require in this step?  2 or 3. If 3 how they will look like. I believe Interface determination is same as Receiver determination. I am suing Business System to send & recv the file.
Points will be rewarded for suitable answer.
    Thanks

    hi,
    You require 3 receiver determinations.
    one from File to BPM(XI)..
another from BPM to SOAP and other from SOAP to FILE.
This is exactly the same scenario.
RFC Scenario using BPM --Starter Kit
    Thanks,
