How to reconnect to a bluetooth device thats has been forgotten, how to reconnect to a bluetooth device thats has been forgotten

i "forgot a device" and  cant get it to reconnect

Try resetting the bluetooth device. Sometimes that is done but pressing the on button and continuing to depress the on button for a while
What happens when you try to pair the device to the iPod?

Put the device back into discovery mode and the iPad will see it again. Make sure the Bluetooth is ON in Settings and look at the devices seen.

  • How do I delete Bluetooth devices that only show up from the drop down menu bar, and not in the Bluetooth preferences devices?

I recently attempted, and failed, to pair/link/use my Playstation 3 Controller with my 13" Macbook Pro Retina (OS X Yosemite 10.10.1), and now I've been left with three unwanted 'devices' in my Bluetooth's menu bar, that don't show up in the Bluetooth's preferences devices, so I am unable to delete them from there.
The devices in question are labelled as "00-00-00-00-68-2f", "00-00-00-00-68-7f", and "00-00-00-00-68-ef".
I've read that resetting the PS3 Controller will remove these, but every attempt at that has failed as much as trying to use the Controller for gaming.
Any help with this little issue will be much appreciated, as I've found it very annoying.
    Cheers

  • How can I reconnect to a ignored bluetooth device?

    Hello community,
I have the following problem: I have ignored one bluethoot device on my iPhone. Now I need this device again, but the iPhone can not find the bluetooth device. It will not be displayed. Is there a way to show these "ignored devices" again?
I would be very grateful for a tip

    Hallo Community,

    Hello Toby,
your iDevice can´t ignore a bluetooth device completely. If your device is using the wrong bluetooth device, you can ignore it.This only prohibites the "auto connect". The Bluetooth device is still found,if it is within reach.
My problem was that I was not able to connect to my bose sound system. I could solve the problem. I have ignored all bluetooth connections on my iDevice and I then deleted the "Device List" on my Bose system. Since then, the two Bluetooth devices can connect without any problems.
    I hope I could help...

  • How to Reconnect a Forgotten Bluetooth Device on an iPhone 5

I accidentally selected "Forget this device" in Bluetooth setting on my speaker device.
I have tried to pair device also reset the network connection but still no able to see the device in the discoverable mode.

You need to consult the directions for the device you're trying to pair to. You need to put it back in pairing mode and pair just the way you did the first time.

  • I'm trying to connect a BlueTooth headset to my Mac Mini. I can discover it, but soon after discovery it disconnects. Can't figure out how to reconnect. My only option seems to be re-discovery

I can discover the headset, but soon after discovery it disconnects. Haven't been able to figure out how to try to re-connect. And the help section titled "Use BlueTooth has absolutely no information on how to use it. All I can do is re-discover it. Every time I rediscover it, it disconnects shortly afterward. This headset works well with both my iPhone and iPad and has for quite some time. But it won't stay connected to my Mac.

Tried with another headset that works fine with iPhone and iPad. An LG HBS700. Same problem. It connects for maybe 10 seconds and then disconnects. So it must be a problem on the Mac. But this Mini is out of warrentee so taking it into an Apple store to get it repaired isn't a good solution. Maybe as a last resort.
Is there a way to select connect on the Mac? Everything else I've connected a BlueTooth device to has both a command for pairing and a command for connecting or reconnecting. I can't figure out how to select connect on the Mac.

I was searching for how to setup the 903+ and my W520 and came to this thread.
    1. The OP was asking about audio and there are updated audio drivers / tweaks to get it louder / install different drivers.
but if you are going to go BT headset....
    2.  What I did for the 903+
Uninstalled the currently installed ThinkPad Bluetooth program. ( I forget the exact name, came stock and was out of date).
    Required reboot.
Activated the Bluetooth with FN + F5 menu.
Downloaded the updated Bluetooth driver from lenovo (search lenovo driver matrix).
Ran the updated Bluetooth driver install.
    Rebooted for good measure.
    Double-clicked the Bluetooth Tray icon.
    Clicked Add A Device.
Turned off my 903+ and continued to hold down the power to enable pairing mode.
Showed up in devices and added it.
Worked for audio. There are probably additional options for enabling the mic.
Hope that helps whoever might find this thread.

  • How to prioritise connection of CAR Bluetooth PHONE system/ device over SmartBand Talk SWR30

After pondering about this device for over a month I asked my wife to gift it me for Christmas. For 3 days I really liked it, but then a critical flaw became apparent  Having not driven for a few days due to the holidays I set off in my car, only to realise that I was not receiving telephone calls, SMS and other notifications on my built-in car bluetooth system (Ford Sync by Sony/ Microsoft), only on the Smartband Talk. Doing some research it became clear that if my SWR30 was already connected with my Xperia (Z2) my Ford Sync could not connect! I realise the limitations of Bluetooth (i.e. you cannot have simultaneous connections using a same Bluetooth profile) and the workaround is to manually turn off the Phone Audio (handsfree) Bluetooth profile for SWR30 in the Z2. Remembering to turn off/ back on is proving to be irritating and too much effort. I thought I might be able to create an Event (macro) in Sony's Smart Connect app to do this automatically, but this cannot be done as the app is rather limiting! It is more important for my car system to work with my Z2 as I use it frequently and is altogether a safer and more legal way of answering calls etc. Has any one got ideas or suggestions? I really like this SmartBand (its far sleeker & lighter than true smartwatches) and I actually want the talk feature, but if I cannot resolve the car bluetooth problem (and this will probably affect all other Bluetooth car systems/ devices) easily and smoothly, regretfully, the SWR30 will be going back to the seller

As stated before, I really like the SmartBand Talk and was very disappointed to learn that it could not coexist with a car Bluetooth system! Having had a few days off between Christmas and New Year I was determined to resolve this "flaw" and am glad to report that I have and in a slick way! Prompted by "ensaro's" widget suggestion, unfortunately I did not want a toggle which had to be manually executed, it had to be automatic. So I thoroughly researched the Google Play Store, trying out many, and ended up with 2 apps which were real contenders: Trigger (by Egomotion) and Automagic (by Gridvision). Both apps basically allow you to create a trigger (eg Bluetooth Car Audio wants to connect to phone) followed by an action (eg switch off Bluetooth phone connection to SmartBand, followed by switch on connection to Bluetooth Car Audio). Trigger calls this automation task a Trigger, Automagic calls it a Flow.Trigger is fairly intuitive visually, but unfortunately support for this supposedly highly rated app seems no longer to exist! This became very frustrating for me as at times it would not run (however, it also allows a widget to be created to manually run the task manually)... therefore I dug in to the more heavyweight Automagic! Automagic uses a dynamic flowchart, where you add a trigger, an optional condition (true/ false) and finally action(s). The style reminded me of my programing days many years ago and the logical nature excited me. The possibilities are huge and may scare off some users looking for a quick result, but in fact it is really quite easy to use, especially once you undertstand some of the slightly "obscure" terminology used (after all this a German programer at work and some translation suggestions may be required). At the end of the day I created 2 flows, one to connect to the car system (via disconnection of SmartBand and then connection to my car) and one to reconnect to the SmartBand when not in car (the trigger being that the car Bluetooth is no longer connected/ disconnected). These flows are passive and apparently use very little battery power, executing when a trigger condition is matched and so far is working well. If anyone wants to see how my flows are constructed, I will be happy to email them. You open them up directly in Automagic (going to their site allows you to download a 9 day trial with up to 3 flows working)... my flows are embellished with extra actions, such as switching off WiFi and playing a sound when a connection has taken place... and most important of all there is a forum with lots of help and examples and I was really happy when the progaming author, Martin, actually replied to a query... Problem... sorted! Automagic is well worth £2.40   ...

  • How do I upload the contacts from my iPhone 5S to the Bluetooth device on my Toyota RAV4.  The car manual says to consult the phone's bluetooth instruction manual, but I don't have one.

How do I upload the contacts from my iPhone 5S to the Bluetooth device on my Toyota RAV4?  The car manual says to consult the phone's Bluetooth instruction manual, but I don't have a manual for that.

That is very strange... I wonder if it has something to do with the firmware or some sort of error. I haven't ran into this but at the shop I work at I've ran into several firmware errors on iPhone 4 all the way through the 5s. Maybe its something as simple as putting a different part of the code into iTunes... I know you can something of this extent. I would look up error 1669, I know you have tried a number of things but look it up on the forum and see what fixes are available so that you may be able to restore it properly without all this garbage you are running into. Just a thought for you.

  • How do I use the same bluetooth device with different iOS devices without having to "Forget" then "Pair" every time?

    Hi,
I have bought a pair of Sennheiser MM100 wireless headphones and they are great, however, I'm having trouble switching between devices.
I have an iPad2 and an iPhone 4s and the headphones connect to both with no problems. My issue comes when I want to switch from using the headphones with my iPhone (listening to music on the walk to the train station) to using them with my iPad (to watch a movie on the train). The iPad still shows that it is paired with the headphones but will not connect saying that they must be turned off or out of range. Even if I turn the headphones off then on again, they immediately reconnect with the iphone.
I've tried deselecting the headphones as the source for audio from the airplay icon before I make the switch and have also done this before turning them off and then back on again.
The only way I can make the switch is to turn the headphones off, tell the iPad to forget the device, turn the headphones on (by holding the on button for 5 seconds it automatically goes to Pair mode). I pair up the iPad and it connects fine. But I have to go through the same process when the train pulls into my stop to be able to use the headphones to listen to music to walk to work!
Is there an easier way? I thought I would just be able to use the airplay icon to deselect it on one device and select it for the other.
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm going to miss my stop on the train some day!!!

    Here's the trick.
    turn on the headphones.
It will connect to the device it last connected to ...assuming that its' on.
go to the bluetooth menu of your phone or ipad (if it's a computer you want to connect to I'll tell you that trick in a second.
and so now, hold down the S button on the headphones for about 4 or 5 seconds (the same button you use to turn on the headphones) ...the light goes from blue to blinking red....now you're in the pairing mode...which is good...now in the bluetooth menu simply select the mm100 and it will connect...
you won't have to type in the 0000 or tell it to forget the device..
but by holding down the button and putting it in pairing mode it frees it from being connected to the device it automatically connected to and lets it connect to the device you choose. this is true of any bluetooth headset.
if you want to connect to your computer, again...hold down that button on the headphones for 4 or 5 seconds till it enters pairing mode, then on your computer if you have a speaker icon in the menu bar, hold down the option key while selecting the speaker icon...you'll see a list of devices ...select the mm100 and your good to go.
if you don't have the speaker icon there..go to system prefences and choose the mm100's there.

  • Our home network has multiple devices connected by iCloud. Having problem with Calendar. On one iMac, all the events are duplicated. How can I correct that problem? Under the Calendar accounts, I had my Apple id listed and also just iCloud.

Our home network has multiple devices connected by iCloud: 2 iMacs, 2 iPhone 4s, 1 MacPro Laptop, and 1 iPad 2.  When using Calendar, all the events were
duplicated on my husbands iMac.  On his computer, under Calendar accounts, I had included iCloud and also my iCloud ID.  I thought that because I had two accounts listed that were connected to iCloud, that might be the cause of the duplication.  When I deleted ithe calendars from one of the accounts, it resulted
in deleting all of the events on all of our network devices!
I have since entered some new events into Calendar from my iMac and from my iPhone.  These appear correctly on all devices except my husband's iMac where they are again all duplicated.
I have two questions: 1)  How can I eliminate the duplicated events on my husband's computer and 2) How do I retrieve the old wiped out Calendar events from
Time Capsule.  I don't know how to find Calendar in the Time Capsule.  If I find the Calendar information in Time Capsule, how do I transfer it to my current Calendars?
I was obtaining phone help from one of the Apple techs at Apple Support, but our call was disconnected part way through.  Didn't know how to reconnect with the tech.
    Thanks for any help.

  • My neighbour's Mac Book Pro shows up as discoverable when Bluetooth is turned on in my iPad Air.  How can I block her device?  How can I prevent her pairing with my iPad Air. I need Bluetooth on to play music over my system.

My neighbour's Mac Book Pro shows up as discoverable in my Bluetooth list on my iPad Air.  How can I block her Bluetooth device? How can I prevent her pairing with my device?  I need Bluetooth to stream music on my Bose system.  Thanks!

If your device is discoverable, the other BT device would try (I am not sure if that would be successful). If it was, it would appear in your system preferences>Bluetooth.
Take a look at this re: security:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH10786
This is from another Apple article:
    Use Bluetooth
You can wirelessly transfer files between computers—even Mac to PC—using the Bluetooth File Exchange utility. You can even browse selected devices and retrieve files remotely. For extra security, you can stipulate that only trusted devices be allowed to connect to your Mac, and 128-bit over-the-air encryption is also available

P.S. Since I have not had the issue, I have not researched this before. Thank you for making me look into BT security
