How to record AutoAttendant Unity Express 8.6

Hi,
I was wondering how to record an AutoAttendant message in Unity Express 8.6?  I would rather call into the system to do it rather than create a .wav file and upload it.
I think there is a way to call in and record it but I sure have not found out how.  I was reading about the AvT system but not sure how to use that either.

HI Suresh,
Thanks for reply,
1)i have create the one CTI route point in CUCM, add one dn no:8000 and check the forward all checkbox.
2) I have upload the greeting through System----> Prompts
3) Create one Script(aascript.aef),  System---Script--map to .wav greeting
4) Go to Voice mail option--Voice mail--- Click on -autoattedant--add to call-in no:8000 and script.--Save.
but i am dailing 8000, it says---there is no mail box is creating this number.
please help on this any configuration are missing.
thanks & regards,
Johnson.

  • Unity Express 8.6 modify autoattendant prompt

Hello, I have Cisco Unity Express 8.6 with autotattendant with the default call flow, for example:
    1) welcome to the company, if you know the extension number pls dial it, if not wait for assistance.
The issue is when the customer dont press any option, the prompt plays "are you still there" and I need to remove it with the script editor.
I want to know in the script where is this option to remove it or to modify this prompt.
    Regards
    Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo, are you using a dial by extension step or menu step or get digit string step? I can't see it in the image you attached.
Take a look at my attachment, I am refering to this maximum retries:

  • Cisco Unity Express 8.6.6 Voice Mail not deleting when e-mail with attachment deleted

I have a Cisco Unity Communications Manager rel 9.1.2 that supports a remote location with a Unity Express rel 8.6.6 voice mail service module in the voice gateway to insure if WAN goes down the location still has voice mail. We have Voice Mail to E-Mail working. The problem is that when the e-mail with the voice mail is deleted the message stays in the Unity Express Voice Mail Box. All of our local users on the same Call Manager Cluster using a local Unity Connection Cluster rel 9.1.2 have the voicemails deleted when the e-mail is deleted.
How can I resolve this issue?

Found another post that referenced Cisco Bug ID CSCti37610.
CUC plays message is from Unity Connection Messaging system
Symptom:Before message playback, Unity Connection plays the message is from Unity Connection Messaging System instead sender's ANI
Conditions:Problem was observed on Unity Connection cluster and appropriate services are not rebooted after changing the SMTP domain name
    Workaround:
    Restart the Unity Connection servers
It should have been fixed in 8.5 but we did change the SMTP domain name on 8.6 and now see the problem. Will schedule a reboot and see if the issue goes away.

  • Unable to create a notification for a group (Cisco Unity Express 3.2)

There is Cisco ISR 2821 with CME 7.1 and Cisco Unity Express 3.2.
I am trying to create notifications for a group named AAA in CUE.
    I do following (GUI):
    1. Go to Configure -> Groups
    2. Click on the group name AAA.
    3. In Group Profile window 'Enable notification for this user/group' option is enabled.
    4. Go to Mailbox tab. There is an associated mailbox with ticks against Enabled and Fax Enabled.
    5. Go to Notification tab and see the warning:
No Notification Devices found for User/Group
Also, there are another several groups on this system and I am able to turn notification on for them. These groups have the same owners and members that AAA has. Moreover, if I create a new group and set it up absolutely the same as AAA, I can turn notifications on for it.
The problem in this way is that we have our custom greetings and after I created a new group, for example BBB, with the same settings (as AAA, inluding Primary Extansion and Primary E.164 Number) and remove these numbers from AAA, then it works and users would receive notification about new voice messages. BUT, when I call BBB I listen to standart Cisco greeting promts.
I don't undestand why it happens, because all these greetings are determined in Voicemail -> Auto Attendant section and I did not any changes here at all.
How can I fix this 'notification' problem?
    Thanks.

    Process with success:
    unzip the packet in: C:\APEX
    1. Install:
    @apexins SYSAUX SYSAUX TEMP /i/
    2. Change to password:
    @apxchpwd,
    3. Run apex_epg_config.sql
    On windows:
@apex_epg_config.sql (page 30, the guide of intallation)
    Important:Replace SYSTEM_DRIVE:\TEMP by C:
    E.g.: @apex_epg_config C:
After this, follow the next steps
    4. ALTER USER ANONYMOUS ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
Finish! Just execute apxldimg.sql script if you is upgrading from a preview release.
Now try the connect on the browser IE6 o later:

    Then create your workspace.

  • How can I get Log Express to recognize my external keyboard? - NEWBIE

I'm using a Lexicon Lambda phantom powered converter (I think that's what it's called) to run my Left and Right 1/4" cables to, from my Kurweil master out. Then the USB cable from the Lexicon out, to the Mac. How do I get Logic Express to recognize the Kurzweil so I can record the Kurzweil's on-board sounds rather than using it as a Midi controller?
Very new to Logic and all of this-any help is appreciated in layman's terms.

OK - got logic to recognize the Kurzweil keyboard on a new track, I can hear the on-board Kurzweil piano sounds, but Logic is not recording it. what gives?

  • Unity Express 8.6 custom script not working properly

    Hello!
I'm having an issue with a custom auto-attendant script for Unity Express 8.6.6.
A brief overview of the expected call flow:
Call comes to 2600, which is set to forward to 2699 if busy or no answer.
Call to 2699 is sent to CUE, which is set to answer with the auto-attendant script.
Script does a time-and-day check to determine if the site is within business hours.
If within business hours, a prompt stating line is currently busy, please leave a message is played, and call is forwarded to 2601.
If outside business hours, a prompt stating office is closed is played, and call is forwarded to 2601.
Calls to 2601 are all forwarded to voicemail.
My first version had a Business Hours object, with a schedule parameter set so that the schedule could be chosen in the CUE GUI. This script did not appear to work properly, as the AfterHours option was always selected by the script. My current version removed this object and replaced it with manual Time-and-Day objects, but the same behavior as above occurs – the AfterHours option is always selected.
Both scripts validated in the editor, and the CUE has been rebooted since the script was first uploaded. TAC validated that nothing in the "show run" is causing CUE to ignore the time-and-day checks. I've attached a ZIP file that contains the scripts, "show software version" and "show license status application" output.
    Am I missing anything?

I read through the document, and it says that the atrace.log file that is generated is not cleartext. Is there any application I can use to read the traces I generate?
EDIT: Apologies, it appears this documentation needs to be rewritten. I was looking at the process to enable traces on an AIM module, when our Unity Express module is on an Internal Services Module 300. I issued "show trace buffer trail" and placed a test call, and this is what I see:

It appears as though the script engine is seeing the Day of Week object, acknowledging it without somehow doing anything with it, and then choosing a "goto AfterHours" step within that object and playing that prompt, which is consistent with the behavior we're seeing.
    Any thoughts?

  • Bussines Hours shedule in unity express does not work properly

    Hi,
End user has a unity express 8.0.5 version. I created an script with Editor Express where I defined a Bussines Hours Shedule.
I have noticed that sometimes the main menu prompts is played eventhough is not a working hours.Other times Bussiness Closed promts is played correctly but after it the main menu prompt is played (I expected to finish the script when the Bussiness Closed prompt is played).
I have checked several times but the problems remains, I do not know why. I attach the screen shot of script.
    regards

You can ask advice at this forum.
It looks that the code that calculates the menu width and position isn't triggered unless you resize the window (changing the width 1px by dragging the border or zooming the page works), so the menu flyout still has the default setting.
    I see:
    <pre><nowiki><ul style="width: 51px; left: 1100px; display: none;" class="sub-container flmenu">
    </nowiki></pre>
After a resize this changes to:
    <pre><nowiki><ul style="width: 898px; left: 252px; display: none;" class="sub-container flmenu">
    </nowiki></pre>
I don't know how this onresize event ($(window).on('resize', function()) would have to be triggered to initialize the menu properly.

  • AIM Unity Express recovery

I had several electrical problem for about an hour powering down and up the router for about 4 or 6 times, after that the router restart to work as normal but the AIM Unity Express did not start as normal. I have a message that is trying to recover from error and that is not available.
I reload, reset, shutdown and I can not log in, I can not even ping to the CUE, when I try to shutdown the module it says that the shutdown is not complete and when I start a session it stays there doing nothing.
The worst of this is that I think the data is missing or lost, how can I recover to upload the system to the compactflash memory card??
    Very urgent, please need help.
    Thanks.

The last info I got, is that the CompactFlash is damage, I receive the message:
Not a cisco supported CF. Please use cisco supported CF and reinstall the software.
    System Halted.
Does this CompactFlash has a solution erasing it and uploading again the software?? Do I have to use erase flash: (ClassB) or format flash: (ClassC)??
Is there a way to do it in the same router??
    Thanks, please any help.

  • Unity Express VoiceView

    Hi,
I have Unity Express 8.0.5 integrated with CUCM 8.0.3.21900-8
Everything is working ok with the exception of VoiceView Express.
I can login ok and browse the menus but when I try to listen to or record a message I get the following on the phone screen:
Report this error to your system administrator. IOException: Connection refused
I am pretty sure the JTAPI srtup is ok although I could not find anything that goes through the setup in detail.
Any ideas what I need to check?

If it ever gets beyond configuration, this is what TAC will ask for...
    1.
Make sure the system is otherwise idle.
    2.    Enable “trace voiceview all”, “trace voiceview-ccn all”.
    3.    Run "clear trace" on CUE.
Run "sh trace buffer tail" on CUE.
Make the simplest call to demonstrate your problem.
Wait until the logs stop scrolling ... Might take 3 to 5 minutes.
    Press CTRL-C to exit.
    Send the logs.

  • Cisco Unity Express 8.x - sending voicemail to email address (CME+CUE)

    Hi Team,
I know might this is very common question for you all.
Can Cisco Unity Express send voicemail to an email address? If yes, any additional software license required for the same?
Could you plesae provide me the steps how to implement.
    Thanks,
    Nirmal

    Nirmal,
There is no extra license needed to support the email notification feature. There are two method available in CUE, IMAP or standard email notification.
With IMAP, the if the user deletes the email in their inbox, it will get deleted in their voicemail box. With standard email notification, no action taken by the user in with email will translate to their voicemail.
Below are the links to the admin guide mentioned by Paolo.

“sh license”, “sh license udi”, Cisco SO#”

  • Unity Express 7.0 demo license

Does anyone know how to get a demo license, or activate the embeded license for Unity Express 7.0.  I see lots of articles about 7.1.  All them have you use the commands starting with "license".  If I do a ? at the executive prompt, or config terminal of the service module, "license" is not an option.  I dont see a way to add a license at all.
    Specifically I'm running 7.0.6.

    I found it.
    software install clean url
You can download the license in the same spot on Cisco's site that you download the software.
