  • HT201302 how to recover importing personal photo on ipad

how to recover importing personal photos on ipad

What do you mean 'recover importing personal photos on iPad' ? The HT4083 page that you posted from tells you how to copy photos/videos in the Photos app that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera kit, and/or saved from email/websites to a computer e.g. you can use the windows camera wizard on a PC, and Image Capture, iPhoto or Aperture on a Mac.
If you want to copy back photos that were originally synced from a computer then you will need a third-party app on your iPad such as Simple Transfer which can copy them back via your wifi network (but as photo are 'optimised' when they are synced to an iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer).
If you've deleted photos from your iPad and want to get them back then were they on your iPad when you last backed up ? If they were then you can try restoring your iPad to that backup

    Hi,
I think the issue is related to a third-party software. You need to ask for help from the vendor of the third-party software .

  • How do I permanently erase photos in Photos app on OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite ?

I have tried deleting the photos and videos from spotlight searching, but it doesn't show me enough improvement in space. My library was 3.62 GB, and now it's 1.89 GB, also I have emptied my trash. I have tried deleting it from the photos app too. But still the space occupied by photos is same. How do I reset the Photos app instead? I have tried logging out of my iCloud account and then logging again, still no sign of improvement in space, instead, the library starts uploading what is already on iCloud as well as on Mac (both of which are same). It seems like, the photos app is experiencing a bug problem.

    Try reindexing your OS X.
If that doesn’t help then try Omni sweeper app......
    After running it do this......
OmniDiskSweeper only shows files that are visible to the user that ran it. Since few people ever run as a fully priviledged “root” user, this means you’re almost always going to miss something, including system-level files or files and folders belonging to other user accounts on that Mac.
To give OmniDiskSweeper full access to all files on your drive, you must run the application from the Terminal using the “sudo" command, which stands for “Super User Do” and gives access to all files on a user’s drive.  As with all “sudo" commands, triple-check the syntax before executing it (or simply copy/paste from here) as it is possible to cause irreversible damage to the OS and file system if the wrong command is entered.  Assuming you have OmniDiskSweeper installed in your main Applications folder, that command is:
    sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
Once an administrative password is entered, the application will launch and allow you to scan the drive for all files.
    Hope this helps.........

  • How to recover backed up photos from mbp hard drive

I'll try to make this short.
Basically I had a late 2006 macbook pro 15", it died on me about 2 weeks ago, hard drive failure I think. Just getting the white screen when I started it up, tried a few things and no luck, so I decided it was time to upgrade. Ordered a new macbook pro retina 13".
Then last weekend I was away and my iphone 5 got water damaged and stopped working completely. The thing is I had everything backed up on icloud apart from my photos because there was too many. I hadnt backed up or synced my iphone with my new mbp (wish I had).
I now have a new iphone 5s and want to try and get my old photos back.
I have ordered a usb enclosure to try and recover data from my broken macbook pro hard drive. The enclosure hasnt arrived yet but I wanted to get a head start on what I need to do. I thought it would be as simple as finding the backed up folder itunes keeps with the photos in it. But from looking around the net it seems these photo files arent easily readable. Is there some software I need for this situation, will I need to pay for it ?
    Any help appreciated.
    Cheers

TM does not retain files that have been deleted from the hard drive for more than one week. During the weekly consolidation files removed from the hard drive are then removed from the TM backup.
If you are trying to use TM like a regular backup storage utility, then you've misunderstood how TM works. See the following explanation:
About TM "Backup Drive is Full" Alert
TM only deletes older files if they have been deleted from the source and when TM needs space on the backup drive for a new incremental backup. Data are deleted to make space for a new backup, but if TM is unable to delete enough files to free up space for the new backup, then you will get a disk full error. Normal thinning during a backup occurs during TM's periodic weekly and monthly consolidation backups. Note, that on a Time Capsule the sparsebundle grows in size as needed, but doesn't shrink. Thus, from the user's view of the TC it appears that no space has been freed, although there may be space in the sparsebundle.
Once TM has found it cannot free up enough space for a new backup it reports the disk is full. You can either erase the backup drive and start your backups anew or replace the drive with a larger drive.

  • HT1688 How to recover pictures in Photos

How do I recover my pictures in Photos?

If you have deleted the photos from iphoto and even if you have used trash in iphoto it appears that they are not really deleted at all.
They are actually still stored in finder. To access the photos highlight any existing photo in iphoto and then select File - Reveal in Finder - original.
You will now be given a finder window that drills down from the iphoto application to a master folder under which the folder Masters exists. Within Master are folders for each year then month that you have inserted photos into iphoto. Within each month is each day and then a time folder which contains your valuable photos.
You can now copy these elsewhere and then re-import them back into iphoto.
The photos must be flagged in some way as hidden to iphoto (I will try and work this out later)
I am using iphoto11 on OSX Lion and used this method to delete unwanted photos that I could not stop appearing in a photo viewer geeklet.
    Hope this helps.
