How to recover data not recovered by hp backup-recover?

i have been using hp pavillion dv6000 since june 2006 tilldate without much problem.Just 1-2 months ago it seems something happened and it went slow.then 0n 27-28th dec 12 one of my cousin came and she told that there is a virus and we need to backup the data and clean the notebook.on agreeing the notebook was put tothe HP backup shcedule and the data was backed up on an external hdd.then kaspersky was installed .then when recovering the data it is found tha not all the data was backuped or not all the data is recovering.All Tally accounting files are missing.My notebook never made any restore point and tilldate I never needed any.But now the point is that i need that all the data back even if with virus.the virus can be cleaned but the data is needed.its my hardwork of years.even if it takes a week i need the data back.I presume that data can be recoverd even if it is wirtten off or deleted.Not being a technical or infotech techie I dont know the exact thing but i think that it can be recoverd.How- that the techies who made yhe notebook can tell,Please all out there let me get my data there are a lots of fotographs i had taken during the years of distant family members and occasions etc which are also to be recovered.
dear experts out there please help or I will have to hang myself.

Sorry, there is no way to recover the data unless you had made a backup prior to the reload.

i have recoverd to another location physical backups of oracle files. i have all data but data in one table patient can not be viewed. however, if i execute count(*) query it retruns total number of rows. can any one help me.
i am using 11g database and i am executing this query from sql*plus
" select * from patients;". messegae received "no data found".

You mean that the table has data in the first database, and you lose the data while copying and recovering the db?

IWeb data not reinstalled from TimeMachine Backup

I recently upgraded my hardrive and I am not able to locate any web data created on iweb from my last TimeMachine Backup. I assumed. All of my work would migrate automatically with the migration assistant from the Time Machine backup. Since the icloud change I had to switch from me.com to a ftp server and hope that I will not have to rebuild my site from scratch. Can someone help me figure how to either a) find all my data and import it into iweb to be published again or b)import my web content from my ftp server or directly from the web.

You may not be able to view your Home/Library folder in Time Machine unless that folder, which is normally invisible in Lion, had been made visible before the TM backups were made.
There are applications that can be used to make all invisible files visible so you can then enter Time Machine, locate the User/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and restore the iWeb Domain.sites2 file.
In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or Mountain Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.

You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

These softwares recovery softwares recover data from external devices which are shown as drives.As far as I know the recent Ipods dont have an option to be shown as a drive.

How to recover backup user data after a restore

I had a disk fail and could not boot. while in the restore software I was able to backup user data to a USB drive. Now that I've restored from the restore partition and got it running windows 7 home again, I don;t see how to recover the user data made with the low level software. Windows back up doesn't seem to recognise it and I can't find an HP utility to get at it.
A program saved with the .wim back up files brought up an HP restore manager application that then copied the filed to my new C drive but how do I actually get it to recover them into their appropriate places and recreate users etc.
Or, should I just consider myself lucky to still have copies of the files at all? I'll not be real happy about that because it will be a tom of work to recreate everything manually even with the files.
I'm hoping someone out there has a better solution for recovering all my user data into my new restored initial image.

Hello dcbrower, You may be able to use the program Universal Extractor to extract the files in the .wim file.
This is a Free program that can be found at this Link. .
Just extract the files in the wim file to a location you would like.

Pls treat it urgent. If it's urgent , open a priority 1 service request on My Oracle Support/metalink.
If it's not so urgent, set the datafiles to OFFLINE, so you can open the database.
Without backup you only can recover if you have ALL archivelogs since creation of the files. Normally that's rarely the case.

Time to start. Now. Using a computer without a back up is like driving without a seat belt. You'll be fine as long as nothing goes wrong, but if something does go wrong it'll be a much bigger mess.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

That data would be in your backup. If you have a very recent backup - and I mean very recent - you can restore from that backup in order to recover all of your app data.

Thanks @ KiltedTim, but losing "only" any data is really not acceptable and, in this case, the phone had not been backed up, but thanks for taking the time. Also, yes, fungible means what I think it means. An iphone is a completely substitutible commodity, unlike my data, so instructions that inform me as to how to fix a phone I could replace for a small sum of money while failing to address the more important issue of the data are almost useless - they potentially save me the $99 it would cost me to replace the phone if I were so inclined to trust another apple product. Not worth the hour it took to find them or the 35 minutes on the phone to confirm my suspicions about the data.
