How to recover lost files from ipod touch 3rd gen after sync?

I synchronized my ipod touch in a new computer and it deleted all my files, and I did not have a back up neither my old sync computer. How can I recover my files?

Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. Is a backup listed with the date/time you synced?
Do you have an iCloud backup?
If yo use the same iCloud ID you should still have you contacts, calendar and other iCloud stuff.

This is not a complicated problem. And you can easilly solve it. Here is the way about how to recover music from iPod.
1 Connect your iPod to your computer to restore custom ringtones and ringtones saved to the computer.
2 Click the "iPod" button in iTunes, or select your iPod in the sidebar if you enabled the option to show the sidebar.
3 Select the "Tones" tab, check the box for each ringtone you want to transfer to your iPhone, and then click "Sync."

Firstly, you can rely on iCloud or iTunes to recovery iPad data, such as recover deleted text messages, photos, notes, restore iPhone contacts, after all, it is free.
    1. Connect your iPad with iTune on computer
    2. Right-click or control-click on the iPad icon under iDevice on iTunes
    3. Select "Restore from Backup" from the given options
    4. After it finishs, your contacts are back to your iPhone
Important Note: This works only if you have made a backup for your data on iTunes.
In case that the iCloud or iTunes cannot help to make a iPad Data Recovery, you can turn to a third party tool.

  • How do I transfer contacts from iPod touch 2nd gen to iPod touch 5th gen

I just got a new iPod touch (5th gen) and can't figure out how to transfer the contacts from my old iPod touch (2nd gen). I was able to sync my contacts in the 2nd gen iPod touch with my Google account when it was connected to iTunes, but I don't see that option now with the 5th gen touch. It only looks like it can sync to iCloud.

    - If they are in an iPod backup then restore from that backup. See the restore topic of:

  • Ipod touch 3rd gen not syncing movies

Today after about 4 years with the same movies on my Ipod touch third gen i decided to change what i had on my device. so i started up itunes for the first time in a few years pluged my device in and it connects no problem. i move all the movies i have into my itunes library. note all the movies are in a .mp4 format. they move into my library no problem. back up my device no problem. i check off in my library all the movies i want to sync along with in my sync settings to sync all videos. when i go to sync i get the warning that all current videos will be erased and replaced with the new movies. i agree and away the sync goes. the sync says it has 4 steps it runs the first 3 steps that are back up and prepare to sync steps but when it reaches step 4 i see it says waiting for changes to be applied but that lasts for half a second then the sync ends. i know it doesnt take half a second to load almost 10 GB. and on i pod touch third gen the movies didnt sync along with all my old movies are gone. i try again and again but no luck.
    Any ideas?

  • How to Copy a file from iPod Touch to iMac

I have used the native "Voice Recorder" app on an iPod Touch to record lectures.  Generally, when the iPod is synced with the iMac, the files are copied from the iPod to the iMac and are located in "Voice Memos" on the iMac.  I have two files that didn't copy to the iMac.  They are still on the iPod.  I have rebooted both machines several times and tried to sync afterward.  The two files remain on the iPod, but aren't on the iMac.  I would like to transfer the files to a thumb drive, but I cannot access them on the iPod in order to copy or move them.
From what I've read, there used to be a function in iTunes that was "enable disk use".  Then you could view the memory of the iPod and move or copy files.
The iPod has iOS 5.1.1.  It is a modelMC008LL.  The iMac has OS X 10.7.3, 2.93 GHz Intel processor, 24" screen, and was produced in 2009.

I used iFunBox to access the files.  I was not able to copy them to the "Voice Memos" directory on the iMac, but they copied fine to the Desktop on the iMac.  That is puzzling to me.
Using iFunBox, I looked at a directory on the iPod called Raw File System.  I was looking at voice memos.  Several had five or more duplicates.  The duplicates aren't visible on the iPod itself.  I also found a Quick Time Movie file that I didn't recall.  When I launched it, there was only sound.  It was a voice memo that I had recorded five years ago.  After recording it, I could not find it on the iPod.  It appeared to be deleted and I had been careful to not delete it.  I don't understand how it ended up as an .mov file as opposed to an .m4a file.  The iFunBox app showed that file under the Raw File System and also under the Voice Memos directory.
I like the audio quality of the Voice Memo recordings, but its file handling is quirky.
Thank you for suggesting iFunBox.  It allowed me to solve the problem of getting two files off of the iPod that I couldn't do in the normal way and I discovered and recovered a file that had been hidden for five years.

  • For some reason is all my music gone from iTunes, but I do still have the songs on my iPod Touch... So my problem is that I don't know how to import my files from iPod Touch back to iTunes.

    Hey all
I should export my music to another program, because I do also have this MP4, which needs some files. Well, I did that and it seems like Windows Media Player couldn't open the files, but then I go back to iTunes and I see all my files are gone. Nothing is left, and now I can't syncronize files to my iPod Touch without deleting all the existing files. So now the only thing I want to know, if it's possible, is how to import music (not from Apple Store) from my iPod Touch to iTunes?

You can use one of the third-party programs discussed here to transfer non-iTunes purchased music to a computer.

  • How to recover lost files from mackeeper

I saved my files and some movies in the data encryptor under data control menu in the Mackeeper using password.
Then my mac was crashed and i had to upgrade to newer version and did the partition on the hard disk as well,Before it was
only one drive now its 2
Now is there any way to recover those files.
i install Mackeeper and tried using data recovery ,but its not those files which I actually saved on Mackeeper.
    Please help me again
    Regards

Mackeeper is not a dedicated data recovery software. Moreover the application itself is under huge criticism for creating unexpected troubles for OS X user. You need to have a dedicated Mac data recovery software solution to get files back. You can check out List of Data Recovery software
Some commercial tools in my knowledge are:
Stellar Phoenix Mac data recovery - http://www.stellarinfo.com/mac-osx-recovery.php
    Disk Drill - http://www.cleverfiles.com/
    Prosoft Engg - http://www.prosofteng.com/
    EaseUS - http://www.easeus.com/
Use of data recovery software comes only when you have no backup (Time Machine Backup or Clone Backup). If you have then no need to install a data recovery software. I hope you have

  • How do I find files on ipod nano 3rd gen that iTunes doesn't show?

When I use the search facility on my nano I can find five mp3 files (which I'd like to delete) that don't show up in the iTunes drop down menu. I've highlighed all options eg audiobooks, podcasts etc and tried a manual search as well as Apple F. My nano appears on my desktop as a "hard drive" but again the search doesn't pull these files up. They're definitely there as I can play them but until I can find them either in iTunes or on desktop I'm unable to delete. Help.

I believe that a few really low quality iPod games were distributed as freeware a long time ago, however you're much more likely to find malware infested web sites than any genuine source if you go hunting for them, and you'll still be disapointed with what you find. If you want games get an iPod touch.

  • How do i turn on my ipod touch 5th gen after its been charging for an hour, how do i turn on my ipod touch 5th gen after its been charging for an hour

my ipod 5 has been dead for about a day and now it wont turn on after an hour of being charged what do i do?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • How to recover deleted files from iPod

All the contents of my iTunes music folder were deleted. When I connected my iPod it was autosynced with the empty iTunes music folder and everything on the iPod got deleted too. (No warning, no undo.) Does anyone know of a utility proven to recover files deleted from an iPod in this way. Looking for something someone has actually tried with success. Have already tried a couple of scans of the ipod with google results.
