how to recover my imac mc813 online

You want to reinstall Lion, is that what you're talking about?
Restart your imac holding down 'command' and 'r' keys.
Choose 'Reinstall OS X Lion' from the window that eventually comes up.

• How to recover my iMac?

I logged off my iMac (2011) computer. My 3 year old daughter was later waiting to use it and I'm sure she pushed some buttons. When I went to log her on, my computer was empty. It was on Start up mode, giving me choices of backing it up with time machine which I couldn't do cause I never backed it up, using disk utility to help repair, use start up disc or go for online support. What happened and how can I fix it?

If you want to preserve the data on the boot drive, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data, you can skip this step.
Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
When you've done that, select the startup volume and run Repair Disk (not Repair Permissions.) If any problems are found, repeat. Then reboot as usual.
If you still end up in Recovery, hold down the option key at the startup chime and select the startup volume in the screen that appears. After logging in, open the Startup Disk preference pane and select the correct volume. Then close the window without restarting.

• How to recover lost files in iMac due to software update

iI accepted an automatic software update in Mac; it restarted my computer and all files created in the last three days disappeared. Any ideas on how to recover those files?
Thank you!

If all your files are missing
You may have logged in as a different user, such as Guest. Open the Users & Groups pane in System Preferences. Your name should be at the top of the user list, under Current User. See also this support article.
If files are missing from one folder
Change the Finder view mode; for example, from icon view to list view, or vice versa.
If files are present, but seem outdated
You may have started up from a different volume (disk.) Open the Startup Disk preference pane and check the selection.

• IMac HD crashed, can't figure how to recover

I've had my iMac for a little over two years now. Until recently it was running seamlessly. I updated the OS to 10.6 (Snow Leopard) in October and there were a few kinks but I managed to work them out. A couple weeks ago I went to turn it on and it froze. I restarted it and it wouldn't get off the whiet screen with the apple on it. So I continued to troubleshoot and then instead of the apple it was just a white screen. It would sit like that for hours if it could. I tried the restart holding cmdctrl+PR and no luck. Tried restarting holding the option key and no luck finding the HD there or when I did it wouldn't let me into it. I tried to reboot the whole system to factory standard, and still couldn't find the HD to do that. At least wanted to back up my system on my external HD but it wouldn't let me do that either. Is there any other way to recover my iMac, I'm really not wanting to buy a new one yet after only two years of use. My last Mac at least gave me five good years before it crashed (even though I wasn't able to recover anything from that one either). Please help. I at least want to recover my photos of my kids and my music.

Unfortunately, hard drives can fail (or have data corruption) with no warning, which is why everyone should use Apple's built-in Time Machine to back up to an external drive. It is quite possible that your hard drive has failed.
What you should try is to start up from the Mac OS X installation disc. If Snow Leopard is the current OS, use the disc for Snow Leopard. Insert the disc and start up with the C key held down.
You will eventually get to the first Installer screen (after selecting language). Go up to the menu bar and under Utilities, select to run Disk Utility. If you see the internal drive in the sidebar, that is good. If you see the internal drive in the sidebar, and it has +Macintosh HD+ indented under the drive, that's even better.
Select the drive in the sidebar and go to the +First Aid+ tab. Run +Repair Disk+. Take note of any reported errors, and if errors are reported, note if they are repaired. After it completes, quit Disk Utility and Installer, and attempt to start up normally.
If the internal drive does not appear in the sidebar of Disk Utility at all, if you are not able to run +Repair Disk+, or if +Repair Disk+ reports errors that are not repaired, please post back with the details.

• How to recover re-installation partition (iMac)

Hi guys,
I recently installed bootcamp on my computer (Windows 7 Home Premium x64) which glitched out and deleted my install partition and my normal Mac OS Lion partition which means it is no longer usable as an Apple Mac. I was wondering if any genius out there had any idea on how to recover the OS or the install drive. Any advice is much apreciated.
When I got my mac it came with Mac OS Lion installed already if that helps. It was also brand new

If your computer came with Lion, it means that you have Internet Recovery. You should use it in case that you can't access to Recovery HD like in your case or when the hard drive is damaged. Read > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
Note that you will have to delete the Windows volume. Follow these steps:
1. Hold Command, Option (Alt) and R keys while your computer is starting, and open Disk Utility.
2. Select the hard drive at the top of the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the drive.
3. Close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X.
After reinstalling OS X, reinstall Windows. To do it, follow these steps > http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.7.pdf

• How to recover safari history that has been cleared

I have a 2012 iMac running Mavericks OSX 10.9.4 4GB 1333 MHZ
I frequent a social network site that hosts photos, private mail conversations and blog discussions.
I use an app " safari cache explorer" that will very quickly look at the cache files from the browser history and give me the option to view the line items as plain text, web page, or image. The plain text view is not really that readable so I would like any suggestion on how to convert that part to something more useful. The items that can be viewed as web pages are perfect and appear exactly as the did when I was on that webpage.
Here is my problem. If the clear history function has been used in safari that explorer app has nothing to look at and sometimes I need to go back and find a preveiously viewed webpage. I am using time machine to backup to a Seagate backup plus drive and I have read at least several online discussions as well as everything on this community board on how to recover to recover to recover those files. There have been several highly detailed explinations on how to accomplish this task but not one has worked.
Is it possible to retrive the history.plist, cache plist or whatever is needed to see those web pages from a week or two ago in a manner that they are usable?
If so what are the exact instructions on doing this task. A procedure that actually works would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Safari/History.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Enter Time Machine and restore the selected item from a snapshot that predates the unwanted changes. Relaunch the application and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if it is connected to the Internet by Wi-Fi or cellular. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:

• Dead Hard Drive - How to Recover?

The hard drive in my iMac recently "died". The Apple Store diagnosed my problem as a failed drive.
Luckily, they allowed me to borrow my failed drive for a couple of days. I was able to use an external USB enclosure and Data Rescue II to recover all of my data to an external drive. Unfortunately, the recovery does not provide a disk image but rather just the folder/file structure from the original drive.
The Apple Store has replaced my drive (under Apple Care Warranty) and now I have an iMac with a fresh install of OS X and nothing else.
Is there a documented procedure on how to recover my home-user folders (including Library), the system Applications folder, and the System Library folder to bring my refreshed Mac back to the previous state?

Kevin,
Tailor these instructions to match whatever you have done so far within the new installation...
1) Create new accounts within the new installation, using the exact same usernames and short names that existed in the old installation.
2) Enable the "root" account, then log in as root.
3) From the root account, navigate to the "Users" folder. Move all of the newly created HOME folders to the trash. Connect the drive that houses the backed up data, and locate the same-named HOME folders there. Drag them to the new "Users" folder, replacing the folders you moved to the trash.
4) Open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal. At the prompt, type the following:

chown -R username:staff /Users/username

In the text above, you will replace all instances of "username" with the short name for a replaced account. If the short name is "fred," for example, you will type the following exactly:

chown -R fred:staff /Users/fred

Verify that the text is correct, then press <RETURN>. When you return to the prompt, perform the same task for the next replaced account, or quit Terminal.
5) Log into the replaced accounts to test that everything works as expected. If so, log back into the root account, empty the trash, then log out of and disable the root account.
It would be best if you just reinstalled any third-party applications. Keep in mind that the data, settings, etc. for those applications already exist within the restored HOME folders.

Hi,
Archive log files are the copies of redolog files. As redo log files are circularly overwritten, oracle generates archive log file of the corresponding redo logfiles being overwritten. So if you have a backup that dates back to 10 am in the morning and if your database creashed at 3 pm,you cannot use the redo log files alone as they have incomplete information. To completely recover the database upto 3 pm,you need archive log files generated between 10 am to 3 pm. In your case since you are missing one archive log file, you cannot perform complete recovery and hence would suffer data loss.

• How to recover windows from 2nd partition

I have a problem, recovery process crashed almost at the end and when i restart computer i cannot get to the windows (missing files). I installed windows but i didn't have any toshiba utilities for recovery (only those files on 2nd partitions: hdd recovery). And here is my question, how can i recover my system from that files without any toshiba utilities? Can i download them or something? What can i do to restore it, because toshiba recovery media is, i think not available. And if it's not so how can i do? My warranty for laptop expired.

You should order the recovery discs from Toshiba.
Toshiba Europe Backup Media Online Shop
After you have restored the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents, you should have the recovery utilities and partitions. See the A350 User's Manual (attached) for how to recover after that.

Pls treat it urgent. If it's urgent , open a priority 1 service request on My Oracle Support/metalink.
If it's not so urgent, set the datafiles to OFFLINE, so you can open the database.
Without backup you only can recover if you have ALL archivelogs since creation of the files. Normally that's rarely the case.

• How to recover the "GMail" Safari extension icon?

I seem to have lost the "GMail" Safari extension icon. This is the one with the plain "envelope" outline (NOT the "GMail Counter" one). It originally appeared as a selection in the Safari/View/Customize Toolbar window, but is now gone. And that particular extension does not appear in the "Safari/Safari Extensions..." option.
I thought I recalled that there is a way to delete Safari and then restart OSX to have it reinstalled, but I can't accomplish that it seems.
All advice appreciated for how to recover that "GMail" Safari extension.
TIA

UPDATE.
I found that Extension on my iMac running Lion. (Library/Safari/Extensions). Sent as an attachment to an email to myself and copied it to that location on my MBP.
Problem solved.
Suggestion: Do NOT "Uninstall" Safari extensions from the Toolbar. Just do Safari/View/Customize Toolbar and simply Move the unwanted extension back to the Customize window.

If you have no backup your only option is to perform incomplete recovery (point-in-time recovery) to the time just before the drop, export the table and then restore the database (for example, from a cold backup taken just before the incomplete recovery,) and import the table. This obviously requires a full backup
taken before the drop which you don't seem to have, so the answer is "regrettably no."
If you have a backup;
Take backup of ur current db, apply previous day backup, do point in time recovery to get table back, export table, shutdown and apply latest backup, import table back
