Any chance you could tell us a bit more? re-read your request and see how you would answer it.
What did you do to lose all of your events?
What have you done since then to bet to the "starting point"?
What is the "starting point"?
Do you have a backup up from before you did what ever you did to lose the events?
You have to give us a lot more information if we are to help you

    Open iMovie. Open your Project.
Open the Finder. Navigate to your photo. Drag and drop it into the Project.

To get photos off of your Mac the solution is to run your iPhoto library (and probably iTunes library) on an external drive. The drive must be formatted Mac OS extended (journaled). Quit iPhoto and drag your iPhoto libeprary to a properly formatted external drive, depress the option key, launch iPhoto and use the select library window to select the new location. Fully test it and then delete the one on the internal drive. Test one more time before emptying the trash. Verify that your back up software is backing up the external drive.

Perhaps you've been transferring them from your iOS device to your computer regularly, as recommended for any electronic image capture device?
If not, then learn from this hard life lesson, and backup the data that is important to you... regularly.

how to recover deleted pictures on BB classic?

Were the pictures on the microSD memory card? Was that the only place? Not sync'd to cloud service? Not sync'd or copied to a computer using Link?
If the files were on the card and only on the card, you can read the card with computer and run a utility (search) to find and recover deleted files. If the spaces where the pictures files hasn't been overwritten yet, then you should be able to undelete the file. You may not be able to undelete all files, depending. Whatever you cannot undelete is lost.
If you sync'd or copied the files somewhere, you can sync them or copying them back to the device, depending. Link does not delete files from the computer when they are deleted from the device, so if you were using Link to sync the pictures then you still have them on the computer. The same may or may not be the case if you are sync'ing using another method.

  • How to I get pictures file to iphoto

I have downloaded pictures from email and saved it in pictures, but now I don't know how to get those pictures to Iphoto.  It says it's an alias?

    Greetings,
Locate the Pages document wherever it's located on your computer and click once on it to highlight it.
Go to File > Duplicate to make a backup copy of the file.
Click once again on the file to highlight it.
Go to File >  Get Info
In the "Name & Extension" category remove the ".pages" extension and put in ".zip".
Close the info window and double-click the now renamed pages file (zip file now).It will decompress into a folder which contains all the base components including all the images you added.  These can be dragged onto the iPhoto icon to import them.
    Hope that helps.

  • How do I rename pictures imported into iPhoto from PC?

I have imported all my pictures from my PC hard drive to my (handed down) MAC. Then I did something wrong and had to 'rebuild' my photo library. That is fixed now and I have, folder by folder, imported the pictures from the MAC HD 'picture' folder into iphoto. In the iphoto 'library' there are duplicates, and even triplicates of files. I have gone through the iphoto library and 'moved to trash' (in iphoto, not the computer's trash) the copies I do not want. Will this mess up anything? I haven't 'emptied' the trash, just in case.
Now I want to rename the files in each folder. For ex, all the files in the folder 'budapest' I want to name 'budapest'(as opposed to DS122345 for example). Is this possible? Will it change the file name in the library also? Or only in the specific folder?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
You can add a title to the photos in iPhoto, but there is no way to rename a file in iPhoto. What you can do is export the file - (Share -> Export) and use the Title as filename. It's an option on the Export dialogue.
Filenames mean nothing in iPhoto. They simply don't matter. The key to using the app is to remember that you do all your work in the iPhoto Window and don't access the files in the iPhoto Library Folder ever.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
*For Users of 10.5 and later*
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
*For users of 10.4 and later* ...
Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
*If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running*:
For users of 10.6 and later:
You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and later:
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • How can you import pictures from the iphoto app to your mac book pro into iphoto on a mac book pro using mavericks?

I've tried to look this up on the app, and it tells me to use the iTunes file sharing and I can see anything with this trying to use both. I'm trying to keep my pictures in chronological order. Does in know how I can use this? Any help I would greatly appreciate. Thank you!

OK. This is two separate issues. To import pictures on your iPhone into your MBP, you can use iPhoto or the Image Capture app (in the Applications folder).
To use iPhoto, connect your iPhone to your Mac with its USB cable & launch iPhoto. Your iPhone will be listed it in the "Devices" panel on the left. Choose it & you will get a window where you can import all or selected photos as either "split events" or as a single event. If you need help with this, try opening iPhoto's built-in help & selecting the "Import Photos" item. That will open the Import photos from iPhone or other mobile phone help topic. Expand the Import photos from iPhone section & study it. It should answer all your questions about this better than I can!
To use the Image Capture app, you connect the iPhone & select it just like above. The app has several options for importing images, but what you may find useful if you do not want to import directly into iPhoto is that you can just drag any of the iPhone's displayed items onto the desktop or into a folder like you would any other file & they will be copied to that location.
As for organization of items in iPhoto, there are four ways they can be grouped for display (by event, by photo, by face, & by place). All except by faces offers a "By date" sort choice in the iPhoto View > Sort Photos menu item.

  • How to recover a book created with iphoto

Hi!!! I need all your help instructing me on where I can find and how I can recover manually from a Time Machine backup a book created in iphoto....??? Thanks!!!

you can not "recover a book" - a book is just entries in the iPhoto database and you ahve to recover the entire iPhoto database that has the book in it
launch TM and go back to the time you want to recover and click recover - it generally is best to select the option to keep both versions so you do not overwrite your current library
You can switch between libaries by doing an option-launch and using the select library option

  • How do you transfer pictures from old iphoto library to a new one?

So my iphoto wasn't working, did the whole delete the plist and make a new library pressing "alt". But now i want to know how i can transfer all my photos into the new library, or some how fix the old library (because i really don't wanna move everything into a new library).
    please someone help me,

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • How to recover developped pictures from different origin

I recently moved all my pictures developped with LR from my D DRive to an external one. But I guess I did it the wrong way (just searchimng for the files and moving them away).
Then I imported again all my catalogs, but most of the pictures are "seen" AS DUPLICATE by LR and do not allow me any action on them.
How can I fix it within deleting all the lrcat (libraries where all the changes done in the pictures are kept)?
    Thanks

Please follow the instructions in this document http://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm

  • How do I import pictures imported from iphoto to iphone to a new iphoto

Hi! I just restored my macbook and now all the pictures on my mac is gone
However i do have them stored on my iphone 4gs. I tried to plug it in but all I was able to import was the pitures on the camera roll
So, Is it possible for me to import them into iphoto in anyway?

    No.
Your iPhoto library should have been included with your computer's backup along with all other important data.
Photos teabsferred to an iPhone are optimized for viewing on the iPhone - the original resolution is reduced, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported.

  • How to recover lost Picture Icon

I accidently moved the Picture Icon in the Finder Window & when I let it go it went up in a puff of smoke.
Another post with the same issue suggested "restart" and it worked for that person.
I tried restarting twice but it didn't come back.
How can I get it back?
    iMac G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Open your Home folder, click on the Pictures folder and drag to the sidebar. A new alias will be created.
