How to recover unsynced items in itunes

I got an new iphone 4s today and hadn't synced my old phone for a while so quite a few apps and music recently purchased is not saved in my itunes. i no longer have my old phone so does anyone know how I would go about recovering the unsaved items into itunes??
Help!!

Go to iTunes store (assuming you have logged in with the Apple ID) and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the top right window. Go through all the tabs to download again for free.

how to transfer purchased item from itunes to an ipod? Spent about an hour and cannot figure out how to do that The best result this far was smth. like this to Sync a book means that all your music, songs, TV show and movies will be erased. What a strange Apple logic!

That message indicate that you are trying to sync with other than the one syncing computer/iTunes library that yo can have. You have to two choices:
    - Make this computer your syncing computer by:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities
    - The manual method of syncng specified here:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad
    or
iTunes 11 for Mac: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad
The manaul method on works for music and videos on other than your one syncing computer.

how to delete multiple items in itunes

I inported my music files and see that I have multiple copies on my files so now I have multiple copies in iTunes.
Some are multiples, some are duplicates, some are from different dates and some do not work and have the symbol for this.
Thus, I must be picky about which ones I delete.
Looks like I will have to continue deleting manually.

  • How can i recover purchased items in iTunes?

I'm on a new laptop and I wanted to recover some audiobooks i had purchased in iTunes previously. When I look in my account purchase history I see the receipts for the items I'm looking for. When I got to the purchased section of the library no audiobooks show up. The music albums i purchased a few days before or after the books are there and ready to be downloaded, but not the audiobooks. How do i recover those?

iTunes Store audiobooks can't be freely redownloaded. You need to transfer them from the old computer, or restore them from a backup of it, or buy them again.

  • How to Recover Playlists when Transferring iTunes Library from External Drive to New Computer

iTunes library copied to external drive and then loaded to new computer. All songs are there but all of the playlists that I had set up do not appear. I cannot figure out how to retrieve/recover them. The back-up was not done by me so I'm not sure of the steps that were followed. Is there something special that needs to be done when backing up to external drive in terms of saving playlists? Help!

    Hello TNCGRCT,
It sounds like the library was successfully transferred to the new computer, but the songs were imported into a new iTunes library. If you still have access to the external drive, or better yet the previous computer, we will want to transfer the iTunesLibrary.itl file and open it with iTunes:

  • How to recover lost items from the fone

m using N70.I cut all the fotos from my gallery folder via an USB cable and pasted in a folder on my pc.
somehow,i deleted the pics from the pc. I tried to search for in the pc in vain.
i then tried to use lifeblog.but found out that my fotos from there had also been cut automatically wen i cut the pics form the gallery. Is there no way out i can recover those clicked pics using lifeblog or any other feature of the fone??

What do you mean you factory reset it?
If you erased & reinstalled the OS then I'm afraid to tell you that those items are gone.
A data recovery company may be able to recover files but it could be difficult or impossible depending on the disk type & how it was setup.
You need to avoid writing any new data to a disk that will be recovered from to stand the best chance of finding deleted files. Power off the Mac & leave it off until you have decided on a course of action.
Don't you have any backups at all?

  • Can't figure how to organize touch items in itunes

I have created about 10 categories (history, music, rock, etc) on my touch using itunes. I have tried to drag items from my original categories to the better defined ones. They show up in the new category, but also remain in the old category. If I try to remove an item using "delete", I only get an option to remove the item from my touch. I can't find a way to remove just the item name from just the old category and leave it in the new category. I now have a bunch of mp3s and videos which show up in more than one category. Tough to stay organized. Any help ?

I too have experienced the "agony of defeat" with fonts and xterm.  Here is how I use to launch my xterm:
xterm -fa "andale:size=18" -bg black -fg white -geometry 80x25 -tn xterm-color -sl 1000
    * The key is the "size" parameter after the font (fa)mily name.  I was using True Type fonts and was using "andale" in this case.  I believe the size field should be applicable to whichever font you choose.  Alternatively, I believe you can pass the "-fs" option to xterm to accomplish the same thing as ":size".
    For example,
    xterm -fa "andale" -fs "18"
will accomplish the same text size as in the first example.  Just try different font size (fs) values, and see which values will actually scale for that font.
One caveat, I believe the "fa" option for xterm is limited to the freetype library fonts.

  • I need to know how to transfer purchased items in iTunes to my library

I have been trying to restore my iPad mini through my MacBookPro, but I get a window saying this: "There are purchased items on the iPad that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. If you restore this iPad, these items will be erased and you will have to purchase them again. Are you sure you want to continue?"
I went to my iTunes  and opened my music, but I cannot figure out how to transfer my purchased items to my Library. I always thought that every purchase was placed automatically in the library
I do not want to purchase these items again, how do I work it out??
    Thanks!!

  • How do I exclude items from itunes match?

How do I exclude select items or playlists from itunes match?

The quick answer is that you don't.
However, there are some options, which are all a bit fiddly.
You could split your library, so that songs which you don't want in the cloud are in one library and those that you do want are in another. There are plenty of problems with this method.
You could force the songs to be ineligible for match. The most common way of doing this is to tell iTunes that they are podcasts or audiobooks. That way match will exclude them, but depending on your useage this could be a problem. They won't turn up if you are shuffling music for example.
The method I prefer requires a second library signed up for match. Add your music and then, on the second library delete the songs, selecting to delete them from the cloud. This will not remove the original file from your main library and it will stay there with the iCloud status of "removed". I find that this works very well, but be warned that if you turn match off and on again on the main computer then it will add all those songs to the cloud again, so this isn't a solution if you are likely to turn match off and on regularly.
Other than that, the only option is to wait and hope that Apple add the ability to exclude songs.

  • How to recover deleted songs from iTunes hard drive (not iPod)

I have a Western Digital hard drive that I use to play all of my mp3 files. Tonight I was creating a playlist by dragging and dropping songs. Although I thought I was editing the playlist, it turns out that I accidently deleted a song from my library ("MUSIC").
Now anytime that I delete something from the external hard drive, it ends up in the recycling bin on my desktop. But that does not seem to be the case with songs that I delete from the "MUSIC" library on my hard drive.
I'm confused. When I accidently deleted this song, where did it go? The folder containing the mp3 file is gone, it is no longer in iTunes and it never appeared in the Recycling Bin. In the past whenever I've accidently deleted a song, I simply went to the Recycling Bin and clicked on "Restore File".
Does anyone know where to find the missing file(s) and how to restore them to my 'MUSIC' folder in iTunes?
Note that this has nothing to do with my iPod, but rather the external hard drive associated with my PC.
Thanking everyone in advance who can help!
    Chad

How I wish it were that simple.
My Recycling Bin is empty, which is what is perplexing. Just to see if this function was working properly I deleted a song from the LIBRARY and guess what? It appeared in the Recycling Bin.
Its a mystery what has happened to these songs.
This has happened on several occassions. I waited years for a few rare songs to come out in digital because only vinyl copies existed. When Apple finally reached a licensing agreement to sell these songs, I downloaded them and created a playlist. Somehow the playlist disappeared including all of the songs from the library. I didn't think anything of it because I thought that I could simply go to iTunes, select PURCHASED songs and add them. To my suprise iTunes does not have a history of my purchase.
Finally, after much trouble back and forth with Apple customer support they sent me a link for two of the most recent songs that I downloaded, but the ones that I downloaded a year or more in the past.
The whole entire scenario has left me scratching my head.
