How to redirect Internet traffic from RV082 to RV042 through a VPN Tunnel??

Fellows,
We have offices in USA and Venezuela.
In our USA office we have a RV042 router and in Venezuela we have a RV082 router.
We have connected a VPN tunnel (gateway-to-gateway) between both offices.
The point is:
How   could we redirect the internet traffic from our Venezuela office   (RV082) to the USA Office (RV042) to navigate using USA public IP's?
The   reason for this is that we need to use online streaming services which   are only available for IP's from USA and we can't use them from the   Venezuelan IP's.
We  can not use the PPTP option since the  equipment which will use the  streaming services (like hulu, crackle,  etc.) in Venezuela is a Google  TV device which doesn't allow the  configuration of proxy navegation or  PPTP VPN connections itself. That's  the reason why we need to do that  through the routers.
We will really appreciate your support on this matter.
Daniel

Hi Daniel, this is called ESP wildcard forwarding which the router does support.

  • Unable to print from HQ to Branch through the VPN tunnel between ASAs

We have site to site VPN configured between ASAs. The VPN tunnel is up and running as desired except for one printer in the subnet. the users in the Hq cannot print in the branch office printer. I have allowed the ip protocols for the printer subnet but still it is not working. When I do a packet trac the traffic for the printer is allwed through the tunnel.
Can anyone suggest what can be preventing from printing?

When other printers in the same subnet can be reached, I would first control the IP-settings of the printer. In my experience it's most likely a wrong subnet-mask or gateway.

  • How to share internet connection from notebook to mobile phone with micro usb cord in Debian based OS? (reverse tethering)

I want to share internet connection from notebook to my mobile phone (Keon) with micro usb cord (because I don't have wifi). I found in Firefox OS (version: Boot2Gecko 1.1.1.0-prerelease) Settings only the possibility to share internet from mobile phone to PC. I use a Debian based OS: Knoppix. I tried to accomplish this with Networking Manager and I did a new wired connection via my phone with "Shared to other computers" IPv4 Settings and with FE:...:02 (usb0) MAC address. But on my phone there is not internet although the connecton between my notebook and phone is estableshed.

    Hi Pimpo,
Thank you for posting your question. I was trying to reproduce your the Shared network, and I would love to know what kind of network you used to connect. This is not possible as of yet and I will file a bug being able to do this, but to make sure I have the right steps on the bug can you confirm the set up of the shared network please?
Also this is currently not possible because the software does not know how to send network traffic over usb, assuming you do not have the ability to turn the computer into a wifi hot spot, which I would recommend instead...

  • How to get internet connection from Airport Express to a PC?

I recently bought an Airport Express to get internet connection from my new MAC COMPUTER TO ANOTHER PC which is located in another room. For unknown reason, I could not get the other PC to work. Any idea how to fix it so that I can get internet connection for my PC? Many thanks for your expert assistance.

Currently, the Airport Express (not the Airport Express Extreme router) is acting as a base station via Ethernet to a cable modem.
I guess that it would be correct to assume that your new Mac can connect wirelessly to the AirPort Express base station, and access the Internet that way.
I am not sure if my 41/2 year old HP(Hewlect Packard) PC - (with AMD Athlon 64 3400 processor) which I am unable to get internet connection now is Wi-Fi capable.
You said "Prior to using the new Airport Express,I was using the Linksys wireless G router and have a wireless adapter sitting on top of my PC.". The wireless adapter would be Wi-Fi certified (they normally are). Is it a USB adapter? Please post back with the exact model.
Question: do I still need to use the adapter or not? Or the new Airport Express is enough to send internet signal to the PC?
A Wi-Fi adapter would act as a wireless network card for a PC, and should communicate wirelessly with an AirPort Express base station without a problem (providing that the chosen security/encryption is supported on both sides). Since the wireless adapter apparently was OK (with the Linksys router), you should be able to continue using it. Any other (built-in) wireless capability ought to be externally visible at the PC as a PCI card with an antenna.
Does the (Windows?) PC operating system detect any wireless networks? Is your AirPort Express on this list (even if you cannot connect or access the Internet)?

  • How to share Internet connection from Leopard to iPhone 3G?

    Hi!
How do you share Internet connection from Leopard to iPhone 3G?
So far I've managed to create a network and I joined my iPhone to the network. But when I turn on Internet Sharing from Leopard, iPhone's Safari won't use the connection. It either starts to use EDGE/3G or says that it isn't connected to the Internet...
    What went wrong?

I have managed to get it work, but only when I completely turn my desktop computer's firewall off. To do this, select the Security icon in System Preferences, then click the Firewall tab. Next, select the 'Allow all incoming connections' option. I wish there was a way to configure individual ports so that I didn't have to leave my firewall wide open, but I haven't figured out how to do that so far.

  • How to setup Internet Sharing from new MacBook Pro to iMac G4?

    Hey everyone,
I have a new 2011 MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard (10.6.7) and an iMac G4 running Panther (10.3.9).
The iMac doesn't have an AirPort card and the easiest way to get internet on it seems to be Internet Sharing.
I want to setup Internet Sharing from the MBP's Airport via ethernet to the iMac's ethernet, but am having trouble configuring the IP addresses etc to get the iMac to comply.

  • How to prevent internet sharing from turning itself of automatically

There is any way to prevent internet sharing from turning of itself automatically wen the analog modem is disconnected?
At home i have to use an analog modem to connect to the internet (no adsl coverage), under Snow Leopard i was able to create a wi-fi Network to share files and connection between an iMac (connected directly to the internet), an iPhone, a MacBook and a Ps3.
With lion, apple introduced a new feature in the internet sharing tools: in fact the wi-fi connection is turned ON only when the modem (or the selected internet source whatever it is) is connected to the internet, when i disconnect it all the network is turned Of.
So, there is any way to keep alive the network also when the modem is disconnected, like when i was under Snow Leopard?

  • [SOLVED] How to forward lan traffic from router to openvpn client....

    Hi all,
I have maybe a strange situation. I recently started testing a VPN service on my home network. Ideally I would like most of my home machines to connect through this VPN. I am using it for both privacy and to circumvent geo-restricted sites. I have a router, Asus WL-500gp which is running the Tomato Firmware, and I did first attempt to setup OpenVPN on it which did work but didn't provide very much bandwidth due to probably not having enough processing power to deal with the encryption and the compression involved. I was only able to get about 5Mbit down when normally I get approx 30+ so this was not an acceptable performance hit.
I then decided to try setting up the VPN on my media server which is running Arch(of course). This was easily accomplished and is working extremely well with approx 25Mbs down. An acceptable performance hit. Now, as it stands only this machine is running through the VPN, the rest of the machines are still connecting to the net normally through the router. Is there a way to have other devices on my lan also get forwarded through the VPN on my Arch server. I do realize I could run my server as a router but I would rather leave the tomato router for that as it works well and is easy to setup whereas I suspect it may be complicated to setup on Arch. Is it possible to configure the tomato to forward certain IP's(my wired network is all static ip's) or even MAC's to the media server rather than the ISP. I suspect it can be done with some new routes added in but I am not that familiar with routing tables to figure it out.
So for example my tomato router is on ip 192.168.1.1, media server is on 192.168.1.2, xbmc 1 is on 192.168.1.3, xbmc 2 is on 192.168.1.4 etc. So say I would also like to have xbmc 1 and 2 go through the VPN as well. Is there a relatively simple way to accomplish this? I am thinking something along the lines of having the tomato forward request from IP 192.168.1.3-192.168.1.4 to 192.168.1.2(rather than the default gateway), then on the server tell it to forward these request to tun0(the VPN's network device).
Any thoughts? Anyone done something like this?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

My first thought was to just set the server up as a router, but then I got to the part where you reject the idea. If you change your mind, you may find my recent notes on configuring something similar useful.
I'm pretty much a networking noob so I may be way off, but I would try the following. Here I'm assuming that the lan and vpn interfaces on the server are eth0 and tun0, respectively. These commands are adapted from the aforementioned notes.
    On the server:
    # Enable IP forwarding.
    echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
    # Allow postrouting to tun0. You may want to use "-s" here to strictly limit forwarding to IPs on your LAN.
    iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o tun0 -j MASQUERADE
    # Enable forwarding from the LAN to the VPN (and back via related and established connections).
    # Again, you may want to use "-s".
    iptables -A FORWARD -i eth0 -o tun0 -j ACCEPT
    iptables -A FORWARD -m conntrack --ctstate RELATED,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT
After that, I think  you can you just need to set the server as the default gateway on the other machines. I am not familiar with the Tomato firmware, but I would expect there to be some easy way to do it there.
You probably want the router to return the VPN's DNS servers instead of your ISP's DNS servers if you use DHCP on the LAN.
Thank you very mach! It's has been useful for me when i wanna connect my VBox mashines to do my lab)

  • How can I play sound from my MacBook Pro through my iMac?

  • How to share internet if the server connects to it via VPN?

Hi, mac brothers! Need your help.
I have a server with 2 ethernet cards (en0, en1). It connects to internet via VPN on en0. LAN clients connect to the server using en1. I can't share VPN internet connection to LAN %(. (tried to find the answer in the 10.4 server documentation, but there is nothing about it).
I know how to share internet connection when there is no VPN - direct connection via DSL modem...
    Can you help me?
    PS; 0S X Server 10.4.11

You need to use NAT and have the firewall running.
And then you need to use the VPN connection (PPTP?) "interface" (when connected), probably ppp0 - not en0, in your NAT config. This can be achieved by dragging the config (small symbol in lower right corner in NAT config in Server Admin) to the desktop, edit it (look for en0 and change it to ppp0), save it, and then drag it back into the NAT config window and save.
I think the VPN tunnel must be up before turning on NAT/firewall so if you reboot the server you might need to turn NAT/firewall off -> on to make it work again.
If the WAN/ppp0 IP is not static (so you can enter it in your server DNS) you probably will have trouble with many of OS X services running in the server.
Most OS X server installations using an Internet connection with a shifting public IP is better off by putting a NAT router which can do the in initial connection (by DHCP, PPTP, PPPoE, whatever), between it and the Internet.

  • WCCP not redirecting users traffic from other subnets

    Hello,
I have configured WCCP redirection on ASA for redirecting transparently http and https traffic.
I have configured a service ID 90 that contains 80 and 443 port. The ironport S160 has two interfaces, one for management and the other for data.
The interface used for data is on a different subnet that the inside interface of ASA where it is configured WCCP.
The problem is that the users that are in the same subnet with ironport data interface, their traffic gets redirected, while the traffic of the other users that are not in the same subnet with ironport data interface is not processed correctly from ironport and this users does not have internet access.
    Any idea ?
    BR,
    Ilir

    Ilir,
How is this second group of users connected to the ASA?  Their outbound traffic has to be going out the "inside" interface also. If they are on another port on the ASA, WCCP won't catch their traffic. i.e. You can't use the DMZ interface on an ASA and point its web traffic at a WSA that lives inside.
