how to fix black screen on iphone 5 , can someone answer me , please !?

To solve most of iPhone os problems you can perform a soft reset which will not change anything inside the phone
    It'll simply remove the errors
    To do that
1.Hold power button for 5 seconds
2.without releasing power button press home button and keep both pressed till the apple logo comes up
    3.Now release both buttons
Your phone has now been reset

    Hi,
Try pressing the Escape key once to get out of the full screen mode,
then taking your cursor and grabbing one of the corners of your Safari screen to set it to the size you want.

suddenly other space in my iphone increased to 1.26GB from 800MB. please suggest how to reduce the space in 'other'

I am having 'other' storage problems on a lot of my devices and I have been searching for a way to solve this. I was looking through threads of discussions and everyone pretty much said the same thing- that it 'other' is data that can't be classified into sections eg. things like documents, contacts, mail etc and that a way to get rid of it, as mentioned above, is to restore is. But then I came across this thread of disucssions: https://discussions.apple.com/message/17668547#17668547
which said that there was a way to reduce the storage without restoring, having something to do with old uptade files of apps. I'm not sure if this works as I haven't tried it yet but they said it was safe and worked, so there is an option

  • How to reduce other size in iPhone memory?

I recently plugged my iPhone 4 into my computer and it showed up that I have over 3GB of other data. I have only around 200 songs, 200 pictures, and 20 apps, all which are either games, came with the phone, or social media. I went to the store and they told me to restore my phone and use the iCloud backup to get my data back which should reduce the amount of Other my iPhone has. At first it stayed down to around .80 GB. About 3 days later, today, I plugged it in again, and the Other was 3.12 GB. How can I get it to go back down and stay back down? Are there common apps that make the Other shoot up? Thanks!

    iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
             necessary to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup.
If you can not restore your device then you will need to go to recovery mode.
Placing your device into recovery mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
         1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end
of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
         2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the
red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake
and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake
              and Home buttons.
         3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
             start with step 2 again.
         4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
         5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
         6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

  • How to reduce spotlight screen size

I have  an issue with my IPhone 4S in that the Spotlight window takes up my whole screen.  I've tried everything I can think of to reduce the size, including the three digit punch.  I'm ready to use the 3 hammer throw, but thought I'd try the community first.
    Thanks for suggestions

    Hi Hemanth
I guess you are referring to altering the size of screen display while using blocks.
One approach would be to create a screen, design via SE51.
Am not sure of any alternative method to alter the width of selection-screen.
If you are not using Blocks, you can use below statement for acheiving the same:
    <b>SELECTION-SCREEN POSITION <col>.</b>

  • Problem: How to reduce display size in Xorg

I am really stuck at this. The problem is as follows:
I have a DIY projector which uses a 17'' 1280x1024 LCD (Samsung 740n). Due to some technicalities the top and bottom 100px of the display are mostly unusable and I have covered them in isolation tape so that stray light cannot pass. I want to configure X to use only 720px vertical (1280x720) without changing the resolution (it must stay 1280x1024, otherwise the LCD will expand it to fit the whole screen).
Graphically presented it would look something like this:
    XXXXXXXXXXX
    OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOO
    XXXXXXXXXXX
Xs are unused space (black bars)
Os are usable display space (1280x720)
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Yes. The LCD will stretch everything you give it that's not 4:3, that sucks.

    Virtual 1280 720
Was the first thing I tried, actually. It doesn't really work, I tried it with several other options. It either stretched the picture or did nothing. I think the only possible way to do it would be to send a 1280x1024 to the videocard and fooling X into thinking its usable desktop size is 1280x720. I don't know if this makes any sense whatsoever, I'm not really familiar on how X interacts with the hardware.

  • How to reduce display contrast in OS X 10.10

I just updated to OS X 10.10 and found that the display is too bright and has too high contrast for my eyes. In fact, I can barely look at the screen without hurting my eyes since I am already sensitive about looking at lights. I reduced the brightness as much as can reasonably be reduced to, but the contrast is still too high to look at. If I reduce the brightness any further, the content becomes too dark to read or see. Even with Brightness at one bar, the screen is glaring at me. In Accessibility there is an option to increase contrast, but none to decrease it. Please help.
Moreover, I must mention here that it was quite impossible to find the appropriate Community to post this question to, I don't know why.

You would start up with the Mac OS X Installation CD. Run the installer. Select the option to "erase and install."
If you want to erase the old data more "securely," from the first Installer screen, go to the Installer menu and run Disk Utility. Select the hard drive. Go to the Erase tab. I haven't use 10.2 in a while, but hopefully there's a button there for Options. If so, select the option for Zero out data. That writes zeros to all sectors. Then quit Disk Utility and proceed with the installation.

  • How to fix flashing screen on iphone 5...

it keep on flashing till the screen become black and it become some kind of static... how can i fix this..please help

Sounds like a hardware issue to me but the standard troubleshooting is...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.
