How to reduce PSAPSR3 from DB02
Hi All,
Please find the screenshot of DB02. I want to reduce the Table space of PSAPSR3 from the below screen. we are holding only 15 days of data in the PSA. Can you pls tell me what is this table "PSAPSR3" related to.
Please guide how to reduce the total used percentage (84%) from the screenshot.
Thanks.
Hi,
You can reduce the table space for PSAPSR3 by deleting data requests from PSA.
As you have mentioned that you are keeping 15 days of data in PSA. But its better if you rethink on this strategy. For the PSA tables having high size with delta datasource, you can to keep the data requests from last 7 days or so to keep the size in control.
Also for full loads, you can keep only last successful request. And before loading new data request you can delete the last request.
Hope this will help you to reduce the table space for PSAPSR3.
Regards,
Pradip

How to reduce noise from still pictures in PE 11?
Hi
I have tried to set a few still pictures into my video. They were taken with high ISO 4000, with a Full frame camaera (NIKON D600). They look sharp and fine in any photo viewer. But when creatin a video with PE 11 they become VERY noisy/grainy.
WHY, and how do I reduce this noise?
ChristianWelcome to the forum.
Video noise most often shows up, when the Images are underexposed, and then brightened in some way.
I have found Neat Video to be a very good video noise reduction tool. It's 3rd party, not too expensive, and has worked well for me.
There is another product from Neat, Neat Image, which works beautifully on Still Images. It will also work well to remove film grain, in scanned film-captured Images.
What I do not know is if Neat Video will use PrElements as a host application. I know that it works well with PrPro.
Neat Image is available in three ways - a stand-alone, a plug-in for Photoshop (do not know about Photoshop Elements), or as a combo-pack with both.
As Steve comments, doing Image manipulation in Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements is the best way to handle Still Images. While PrE can do some Still Image manipulation/correction, its tools are designed for Video. Photoshop (either version) has far more tools for Stills.
Good luck,

Help please! how to reduce pdf from 33mb to 12mb??
help please! I'm trying to get some fete posters/A4 flyers printed thru VistaPrint. My PDF file is 33MB, but they can only take files 12/13MB. They suggested I use Adobe to save at the correct size, but after an hour i still can't figure it out! argh...
It is potentially possible with Acrobat, not Adobe Reader. It very much depends on its contents how much size reduction you can achieve. [Use File | Save as Other | Reduced Size PDF, or Optimized PDF.]

How to reduce videos in iPhoto from iPhone for mailing or uploading
How do you reduce videos from an iPhone 4s for e-mailing or uploading to sites like Flickr? iPhoto gives you a choice of photo sizes to e-mail but doesn't allow you to e-mail videos. The videos are on my iPhone and my iMac.
You can export (or drag) the videos out of the iPhoto interface and drop them onto your Desktop (which will copy them from the iPhoto Library onto the Desktop).
You can then double-click the new video file on the Desktop to open it with Quicktime (hopefully this is your default video-playing app). Within Quicktime, click on Quicktime in the menubar and use the Export feature to create a smaller version of your video file. That smaller version of your file will be better compressed for internet uploading.
If you have Quicktime X, then you will also have a Share menu in the Menubar with some built-in sharing options such as YouTube that can be more convenient. -
How to reduce configuration cache file Quota size located in ( C:\Windows\ccmcache ) for all client from SCCM 2012 server
Thanks in Advance
NTRaoHi,
There are numerous ways to change the cache size.
You could deploy a vbscript to a collection of the devices.
On Error Resume Next
Dim UIResManager
Dim Cache
Dim CacheSize
CacheSize=20000
Set UIResManager = createobject("UIResource.UIResourceMgr")
Set Cache=UIResManager.GetCacheInfo()
Cache.TotalSize=CacheSize
Or you could use a configuration item.
http://blog.coretech.dk/heh/configuration-items-and-baselines-using-scripts-powershell-example/
You can also use the right click tools by Now Micro on a collection, if all the servers are on this would be the easiest / quickest way.

How to reduce the pdf version & how to remove all the pre-delivered field from a pdf file.
Hi Team,
1) Please help me to reduce the version of a pdf file which is v1.7 as my BI Publisher support only pdf version upto Version1.5.
2)This pdf file 1.7 contains some pre-delivered fields, i want to remove all the pre-delivered fields. Please suggest.
PFA link:-
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-539.pdf
Please guide to remove the pre-delivered fields from this pdf & how to reduce the version.A lot depends on what you want to do with the file. The encryption has limited most options on the form. If you are wanting to simply post a view of the form, then you might try a screen capture. Of course there is always the question of what you want to do with the form and any legal aspects related to that use. Other than answering potential legal questions of your use, we might be able to help more if we were aware of the desired use. At the moment, the screen capture is my only suggestion. There may be other work arounds, but probably not appropriate for discussion on this forum.
If you are wanting the form for publication as an example in some document, I would strongly suggest you contact the gov't agency and discuss your intent and try to get a version you can use with their approval. Overall, that is the cleanest way to do whatever you are after for a legit purpose. Even a graphic version should have the permission of the government agency. -
How to reduce oracle DB's size?
Hi,All
After upgrading NW7.0 to NW7.0 EHP1, the oracle's changed from 37GB to 70GB, How to reduce the DB's size?
Thanks.
Best regards
Jiande DingHi,
1.From DB02--> detail analysis menu you can take out top 50 tables & indexes. you can mark the size of the index should be generally less than the table. If its more or very much similar size of table, you can rebuild it using SE14. This can free some space.
or else you may use brspace to do this.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/58/6bec38c9fa7e44b7f2163905863575/frameset.htm
In case of table this option is risky as it may result in data loss.
2. Earlywatch alert gives the top 20 degenrated index. you can check that which also gives a factor 'storage quality'.
3. Run report SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES. It removes temporary database objects. ( we do this in our BW system)
Hope this helps
Thanks

How to reduce memory use on my iMac
How to reduce memory use on my iMac, OS X Yosemite, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB memory
Running very slowly, and the little spinning ball showing up.
How do I clean up my IMac please?
Should I use MacKeep or any clean up apps? When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is especially bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first.
Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.

How to reduce number of colors in an image
I am fairly new to Photoshop and I'm learning as I go, so I apologize for using your time. I haven't worked with images that much - I've used MS Digital Image Suite with photos from my camera. That's the extent of my knowledge.
I am taking over a job from someone who is gone and I can't ask him how to do this. He used Photoshop to reduce the number of colors in an image (for example, a color drawing or clipart) to 2-6 colors. I haven't been able to figure this out. I've visited this site that explains how to reduce tones but it's still a lot of colors. I thought I might learn something from this link that explained how to make Photoshop cartoons, but I didn't. I've done a lot of searching but nothing seems to explain this. I know that the other guy had some knowledge of Photoshop but he wasn't a power user.
Thanks to anyone who will help me. (I am using CS5.)Are you sure that he was using Photoshop? (see my third solution)
There are some plug-ins for Photoshop, but they basically do the same as the posterize or index mode: http://www.topazlabs.com/simplify/ (commercial) see this panel for colorizing comic art: http://vimeo.com/user3771002/videos
I would rather use posterize, as an adjustment layer, as you can control it.
Try with this layer stack, from bottom to top:
Convert the original image in a Smart Object, in order to use Smart filters and blur the image (Gaussian Blur, or noise>median or blur>smart blur or blur>surface blur could be interesting internatives) would be useful, to make smoother posterized areas.
A dodge/burn layers (a neutral gray layer in overlay mode) to adjust areas using the Dodge/burn tools.
the Posterize Adjustment layer, with very few colors
On top of it, put a gradient map adjustment layer, to control the posterized colors
Vectorizing in Illustrator can also be used to reduce the number of colors. Live Trace: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/illustrator/cs/using/WS714a382cdf7d304e7e07d0100196cbc5f-6229a .html

How to reduce buffer busy waits, session hanging due to buffer busy waits
Hi,
How to reduce buffer busy waits, session hanging due to buffer busy waits.
Thanks,
Sathis. When I see through enterprise manager I see lot of
tables with buffer busy waits.
Is there any way by table name we can check the
blocks info.
The simple way is to look at the SQL statement and corresponding table name?
P1=file#, P2=block#. You can extract segment name(table or index) using this info.
Query v$bh like following:
SQL> select file#, block#, class#, objd from v$bh where file# = P1 and block# = P2;
SQL> select object_name from all_objects where object_id = <objd>;See following doc:
http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/dynviews_1051.htm
Or you can dump block:
SQL> alter system dump datafie <P1> block <P2>;Some excerpts from block dump:
scn: 0x07df.17e70782 seq: 0x01 flg: 0x04 tail: 0x07822301
frmt: 0x02 chkval: 0x61d0 type: 0x23=PAGETABLE SEGMENT HEADER
Map Header:: next 0x00000000 #extents: 1 obj#: 55881 flag: 0x10000000>
Can we do something at table level that will reduce
the waits.
Yes, some methods are known. But before thinking of that, you must verify which block class and which access are involved.
Typo... always. :(

In a SQL query whihc has join, How to reduce Multiple instance of a table
in a SQL query which has join, How to reduce Multiple instance of a table
Here is an example: I am using Oracle 9i
is there a way to reduce no.of Person instances from the following query? or can I optimize this query further?
TABLES:
mail_table
mail_id, from_person_id, to_person_id, cc_person_id, subject, body
person_table
person_id, name, email
QUERY:
SELECT p_from.name from, p_to.name to, p_cc.name cc, subject
FROM mail, person p_from, person p_to, person p_cc
WHERE from_person_id = p_from.person_id
AND to_person_id = p_to.person_id
AND cc_person_id = p_cc.person_id

How to reduce the coulmns width for Timesheet in ESS ?
Hi,
In ESS Timesheet, how to reduce the columns width for professional self service?
It is looking fine for weekdays, but when the user is assigned as professional self service at back end, few more sales order columns are added dynamically to timesheet for professional self service user. Now these extra coulmns are jumbled and also wide.
I tried the OSS notes 989453 in 'listviewerslim.java' , but it doesn't work. Is there any other alternative work around for this. Do I need to work at backend to solve this, If so, please let me know the work around.
Points will be awarded.
Regards,
