How to reference a value in an XML file
Hey guys! I have a valid XML structure, and in it is the following info:
<app>
<settings>
<setting name="defaultModuleSlug" value="apples"></setting>
<setting name="defaultPageSlug" value="oranges"></setting>
</settings>
<app>
The XML info is in an application object called application.config.
So, How do I reference the defaultPageSlug variable? I know I can use:
application.config[ 'app' ][ 'settings' ].xmlChildren[ 2 ].xmlAttribute[ 'value' ]
However, I'd like to be able to reference the setting by it's name attribute (defaultPageSlug) and not assuming it's the 2nd element in that node. Can someone help?
Nevermind, I guess I can just use XPath.

http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=34&thread=186091&start=15&range=15&hilite=false&q=
But am not able to use the same code to update the vlaues of the attribute.
if i have this xml file :
<?xml version="1.0"?>

For example, how to get name and age attributes?

On the assumption of JDOM - www.jdom.org. Something along the lines of:SAXBuilder builder = new SAXBuilder(true);
Document doc = builder.build(filename);
Element root = doc.getRootElement();
List children = root.getChildren();
Element thisElement = (Element)children.get(n);
String name = thisElement.getAttributeValue("name")

How to reference the value of a af:inputText at View level in a java clas
How to reference the value of a <af:inputText> at View level in a java class at Model level? Thanks!
Create AppModuleImpl class and create ther for example setMyParam procedure.
(You can use AppModule. There simple interface to do this classes
In JDev 11:
1. Go to AppModule and in Java bookmark generate application module class.(AppModuleImpl.java)
2. Put "private String myParam;" and method to access myParam "public void setMyParam(String myParam)".
3. Again in the AppModule in the Java bookmark add method to client interface.
AppModuleImpl.java
public class AppModuleImpl extends ApplicationModuleImpl implements AppModule {
* This is the default constructor (do not remove).
private String myParam;
public AppModuleImpl() {
//this.
public void prepareSession(Session session)
super.prepareSession(session);
myParam = myParam + myParam;
public void setMyParam(String myParam) {
this.myParam = myParam;
prepareSession(getSession());
AppModule.java
public interface AppModule extends ApplicationModule {
void setMyParam(String myParam);
AppModuleClient.java
public class AppModuleClient extends ApplicationModuleImpl implements AppModule {
* This is the default constructor (do not remove).
public AppModuleClient() {
public void setMyParam(String myParam) {
Object _ret =
this.riInvokeExportedMethod(this,"setMyParam",new String [] {"java.lang.String"},new Object[] {myParam});
return;
And you can use method setMyParam as you wish :))) You can find it in AppModuleDataControl..

Help on how to read the content of an XML file from the payload
I have a receiver channel / mail adapter, that sends e-mails with a XML attachment.
Im trying to write a Bean, that should make it possible to rename the attached XML file dynamically.
In the Bean I want to read the content of the attached XML file, it could be the order number.
The filename should then be Order number.XML.

How Can I Attach and Link an XML file to a 3D Model in a PDF?
How Can I Attach and Link an XML file to a 3D Model in a PDF?
What I am trying to do is find out how to have a 3D model and a parts list linked to it within the PDF file. I would also like to be able to add to the parts list if at all possible once the pdf has been created. A template to create future PDF's with the 3D model and list might also be useful.
I am not entirely sure if this is all possible within a PDF file, but I have viewed a PDF (Adidas Trainer) example which has a Excel file attached to it which links to the 3D model. I have also had a look at partner products such as Lattice, Tetra4D, Anark, which can do animations and all sorts, but frankly it seems a bit overkill for what I am looking to do.
Please, any help would be appreciated. ThanksAlliCT59 wrote:

I wrote about it while ago, let me paste the whole thing.
This example has simple
buttons which upon click go to new sites and in the same time
place record in form
of *.SOL file on user drive. That record is read when you hit
the next button and
based on that the button will be selected as the one last
clicked.
You could use the very same thing just instead of suppressing
button simply gotoAndPlay frame
to continue the part you need.

How can I generate IDOC(WPUUMS) from XML file in POSDM or in SAP Retail
Hallo Retail expert,
I have following scenario,
I have Retail Store who send me their daily sales report through Wincor Nixdorf Point of sale. There i am using standard POSLOG2 to SEEBURGER(its a middleware which act as Converter) xml format and then i post that data first in POSDM and then with BAPI i transfer or book that data to SAP Retail.
Above is the one scenario which is working.
This is the Second scenario.......
I have some external Retail store, they dont have Wincor Nixdorf POS, so they send me their Sales Report through SEEBURGER(its a middle Hardware which act as Converter) and SEEBURGER Convert that Sales data to XML format. My question is....
How can i upload or Convert a XML File into IDOC (WPUUMS)in SAP or in POSDM?
any new suggestion are welcome.
Thank you all in advance.
regards,
NielHi,
1. To get the required XML Schema, use transaction code WE60 to go to the IDoc documentation -> enter the IDoc type you want to use (WPUUMS01). Flag control and data record. Then display the XSD by choosing Documentation -> XML Schema from the menue bar. Now you can donwload the XSD for usage in Seeburger.
2. Create your mapping from the POS format into the IDoc XML format in Seeburger.
3. Create an XML File Port in ERP or POS DM using transaction code WE21.
3. To inbound the XML file from Seeburger into POS DM or SAP Retail Seeburger should trigger the function module EDI_DATA_INCOMING. Parameters for this FM are the Pathname to the XML file and the Portname you just created. Based on the port name the FM can derive the port type xml and the data will be handled as XML data.

How to place the images in Indesign xml file by Javascript?
How to place the images in Indesign xml file by Javascript?
We got the Indesign xml file, how to give the image placement link by Indesign javascript? Please help me its urgent.Hi,
You can pass the image url as a href attribute=> file:///Users/me/Documents/my_pic.jpg directly within your xml. It just needs that you pass a local, static and valid url.
If you want to add image later once the xml is flowed and so target specific nodes and inject images, it's a bit more complex. If the node is not part of the layout, you may try to reach the XMLElement objet and such an attribute, then layout the element.
var x = some XMLElement
x.xmlAttributes.add("href","file:///Users/m/Documents/my_pic.jpg" );
If already placed, then you have to get the associated pageItem, then place your file into it.
pagItm.place ( File ( "/Users/m/Documents/my_pic.jpg" ) );
Hope that helps,
Loic
