How to register a location in OWF

Hi guys
I am running tru the OWB tutorial, and stumbled in trouble at registrering a location.
Any suggestions?
The tutorial is "Designing Process Flows".

Suggestion: check the OWB User Guide!
There's a paragraph called "Registering Locations" in Chapter 13 (Deploying Target Systems), it contains a subsection on Workflow, "For Oracle Workflow Locations".
This should provide sufficient information.

Now i found out that after an import of the location the field "from Location" is not set. I need to set it to OWB_REPOSITORY_LOCATION.

Hi,
You may or may not need to "register" the workflow - it depends on the changes that you made and which Item Type you modified. Some applications are essentially hard-coded to use a specific item type and process, some hard-coded to use an item type but you can configure the process to use, and some allow you to specify which item type and which process to use.
Without knowing exactly what you have done, though, there is no specific advice that anyone can give you here on what you need to do, apart from to ensure that you have saved the new definition to the database.

Is your AP 10 licensed? if not can you please License it and then Check.
If it is licensed and still you are getting the same issue then please do the following.
Please provide us with the Screen shot of the prompt and "oobelib.log" file.
The location of "oobelib.log" is :-
If you are using windows:
C:\Users\<User name >\AppData\Local\Temp
OR
just open the run the window and type %TEMP%
For Mac
/Users/<user name>/Library/Logs
Please provide the above files so that we can look into the issues soon.

How to inspect used location in a mapping OWB Rel2?

I have exported the Warehouse Builder metadate from a server and imported in another server. The I have allocated the modules to new defined locations. When trying to validate the metadata in a module I get the error VLD-1134 Invalid location and configured location for operator does not exist or is not a valdid location under the referenced module. How can I inspect the location changed it to a valid connector?

Have you registered the location?
If you didn't follow this steps.
Locations are registered automatically by deployment. Alternatively, you can explicitly register a location in the Control Center.
To register a location:
1. Open the Control Center Manager and select a location from the navigation tree.
2. From the File menu, choose Register.
The Location dialog box appears.
3. Check the location details carefully.
Click Help for additional information.
4. Click OK.
To unregister a location:
1. Open the Control Center Manager and select a location from the navigation tree.
2. From the File menu, choose Unregister.
3. Click OK to confirm the action.
If you did registered locations, then try to check if OWB did created a valid DB Link for this location querying the all_db_links view.

What is a purpose of oem location in owb 9.2 (9.0.4)?
This location doesn't use in any module and integration with oem realize through oem_exec_template.sql script that manually register in oem.
How to use this location?

This location would be used in the process flow configuration of an individual activity. The location enables you to perform remote node execution. For example, if you wanted to execute SQL loader on a remote node (not the actual target machine) then this would happen via the OEM location. The use of the OEM location would require an Oracle Management Server (OMS) set up and OEM agents locally.

TEMPLATE.fmb should be used for creation of custom form for APPS, the form is located in $AU_TOP/forms/US. Also you need to copy the corresponsing pll that you want to use from $AU_TOP/resource.

If you are a hyderabad locale, you have SISL for conducting the SAP Certification..

When your application must connect to heterogeneous databases, use DataDirect JDBC drivers. If you want to use DataDirect drivers with OC4J, add corresponding entries for each database in the data-sources.xml file.
