How to register cwui.ocx in Windows 7

Hello,
I'm having trouble installing cwui.ocx (from Measurement Studio) in Windows 7. The software for our product was developed with Measurement Studio for Visual Basic V. 6. When I try to run it in Windows 7, I get the message "Can't load (or register) custom control cwui.ocx". My software, including cwui.ocx, installs and runs correctly in Windows XP.
SETUP.LST specifies the path as follows:
File21+1,,cwui.oc_,cwui.ocx,$(WinSysPath),,$(Shared),8/1/2001,2301952,66.0.3.589
Any suggestions for a fix for Windows 7 would be appreciated.

How to register DI RfcSvr as an Windows service

Every time I must manully start DI RfcSvr program on windows. I want to know how to register it as a Windows service?
I try to run below command:
ntscmgr install SAPRFCService -b "D:\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data Services\bin\rfcsvr.exe" -p "-a DI_SOURCE -g HOST_NAME -x gateway_name"
It successfully register the command to NT service but It can not start. The error message in Event Manager is:
Event ID 7009, Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the SAPRFCService service to connect. I though this is caused by no return code returned by program rfcsvr.exe.
Anybody has good idea?

I'm in the same situation, I need to know if it's possible to record DI RFCSVR as a Windows service or not.
When I try to start the service, I get the same error
Event ID 7009, Time (30000 milliseconds) waiting for <name Service> of service to connect.
I have searched without success guides.

Cwimaq.ocx on Windows 2000

I'm having problems registering cwimaq.ocx on Windows 2000. I get the error message 'LoadLibrary("cwimaq.ocx") failed - The specified module could not be found.'
I can register on Windows XP just fine.
I have installed the deployment license. I downloaded the files from http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/887B27C0505AFC6686256B1200712794?OpenDocument&node=132060_US and followed those directions.

Try using regsvr32 to register the activeX control. See KB 1HBAMMSR.

I can register an OCX file in Windows 7 x64 without incident but with Windows 7 x32 I get a p-up that says "DllRegisterServer failed with error code: 0x80004005. What gives???

Hey yeah. not much else to say. The title says it all.
I'm trying to register an OCX file that my video editing application requires to work properly.
I'm using a Registry (Regsvr32 and Regsvr64) tool to Register DLL/OCX files. Both bit Registry tools work fine. I can Register any DLL or OCX file with Windows 7 x64 and everything goes smoothly.
But, when in Windows 7 x32, again, no problem with merging the Regsvr32 tool, but when I go to register the OCX file message says it was loaded but the DllRegisterServer failed with error: 0x80004005.

I don't know what happened.
My Video Editing software was working fine a few days ago in Windows 7 x64. Tried using it this morning....couldn't load the .mpg video clip. Just stood there looking stupid like it does in the 32-bit version of Windows 7.
I was hoping the x64 version of Windows 7 RC 7100 was going to make a decent run against my XP Pro SP3 setup. When I was able to register the required .ocx file for the video editing application, I thought "cool". I made a TV recording then used the Video Editor to edit it and it worked fine. Earlier this morinng I made another TV recording, went to go edit it and the video editing application couldn't load the .mpg file at all. How to register a desktop app that supports Windows 7

I want to create a desktop app that uses the OneDrive API. This app will be compatible with Windows 7 as well as 8.1.
Do I still have to register it with the Windows Store? If not, how do I receive a client ID?
I don't want to create a "modern" application. I want to create a desktop application.

How to register an instance as a windows service in SJWS 7

Hi all,
I need to backup my sites config and restore them on another machine.
I found out that I could simply copy over the folders under the config-store and it'll work, I can see & even start my sites from the other machine through the Admin GUI.
However, I need to register these sites as Windows Service in order to enable them to be started automatically upon server reboot. In the past, the SJWS 6.1 has ntregister.exe which I could use to do this, but this exe file is no longer there for version 7, does anyone has any idea how I can register an instance as a Windows Service in SJWS 7u4?

Thanks, it's the command I've been searching for (it's not listed under the CLI Reference Manual so I couldn't found it).
However it failed when I tried it with the following error msg:
ADMIN3577: Service creation and deletion is not supported on this platformI'm running Windows Server 2003 R2 and I've just upgraded the SJWS from 7u4 to 7u5, any idea whether that might be the issue?

CWUI.OCX crash

I am using cwui.ocx NI component for graphical display in my aplication .The machine on which application is running has limited access rights , i.e user rights not admin rights .
details of component are :
cwui version : 6.0.3.589
size of file 2248KB
Date stamp : 4/02/2007 1.07 PM
It keeps crashing with access violation
here are debugger provided details :

It is Windows XP Profesional 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 operating System . The machine has limited user rights , not administrative rights.
Per your suggestion re-registered cwui component Version 6.0.3.589 by loging in as Admin , but no luck ..still it crashed
Application is using graphic display & chartX and ChartY function from cwui component to create graphic display .Display data from our app is passed by using safe array.
We tried changing reducing frequency of display update, tried performing operation in mutually exclusive mode , ie critical section . but no luck so far.
Graphic display in our app can be run at 2 frequencies 1HZ and 5HZ .If user sets display at 1 hzs it runs little longer and then crashes down .
In case of 5 hz crash can be seen more frequently.
How can we prevent cwui crashes . Please advise ...

Automator - How do I: Mouse Click, Move Windows, and more

Hello,
I am attempting to create my own Automator programs and for a while I had some that worked nicely. I have recently been tweaking my iMac so that it can "think" on its own (by automator of course) and do things for me. However, I've run across a block with Mavericks (I believe it's due to Mavericks).
1. How can I get Automator to register a mouse click? "Watch me do" does not seem to want to work for me at all. I also would prefer if it would just be a registered mouse click, but not actually use the mouse (I know this is possible) so that if I'm doing something and it runs, it won't disturb my mouse and I can keep working.
2. How can I register a keyboard stroke? Same as above
3. How can I have automator move windows? I have two monitors and there are times when I may want it to move a window from one mintor to another
The following is a list of all the things I'm attempting to accomplish at the moment (with other things when I think of them) with automator (either through applications, folder actions, or ical actions):
1. Register a mouse click at a given area or on a given element in a safari page
2. Register a keyboard stroke in a given program (be able to focus on a program and then do the keystroke)
3. Move windows from one location to another
4. Full-screen and Un-full-screen iTunes at certain times of day
5. Download all purchased items on iTunes that aren't on the computer (sometimes iTunes doesn't download stuff if it was downloaded on my MacBook Pro first)
6. Automatically voice read reminders (that I've set in Reminders) each day at a given time (I can use loop to repeat it to make sure I hear it all)
I'll think of more of course, but the mouse click, keyboard stroke, and moving windows is the big thing I'm trying to figure out how to do. Can anyone help?
Also, I am not a computer tech. I am tinkering with this because it's fun and helpful, but an answer of "just use applescript" or "just use java" will likely just give me a headache. I know that it's going to be one of those codes, but I'm hoping someone has a "base" code that can be copied and pasted that's just a standard click that I can adjust for where I need to click and what process I need to click on.
If there is an Action Pack that includes a "Register Mouse Click" and/or "Register Keyboard Stroke", then that would work great, but the only action packs for automator I've seen that work with Mavericks is for photoshop.

You're asking for a lot in one post. It would be better to break your requests down a bit.
For example, to deal with mouse clicks, you can use the Automator Action Run Shell Script with this python script:

How to register a report program ins EBS?

HI,
I made a new report program called APVOUCHER.rdf it is developed/tested/ and running on Reports 10g windows. Then I ftp it to my EBS R12 linux server. Then I put it under the base path of $AP_TOP/reports/us.
Then I register it in EBS using this
a) Define the concurrent program executable with the Oracle Application Object Library. This links the execution file and the method used to execute it with a defined concurrent program. Log into Applications as the System Administrator and navigate to Concurrent > Program > Executable
b) Define the concurrent program with the Oracle Application Object Library along with any program parameters or any incompatibilities. Log into Applications as the System Administrator and navigate to
Concurrent > Program > Define.
But in the 2nd define the program APVOUCHER ca not me found in LOVs provided under region

If I click LOV for Name the report name is not in there :(

Before you define the report, navigate to Concurrent > Program > Executable and fill out the form as follows:
Executable: <REPORT SHORT NAME> --> (Similar to the report name you have uploaded but without .rdf)
Short Name: <REPORT SHORT NAME> --> (Same as above)
Application: Payables
Description: <Description>
Execution Method: Oracle Reports

Once you are done with the above, you need to add this concurrent program to the Request Group which is attached to your responsibility.
- Login to System Administrator responsibility
- Navigate to Security > Responsibility > Define
- Query the Responsibility Name
- Write down the Request Group
- Navigate to Security > Responsibility > Request
- Query the Request Group
- Add the concurrent program
You should be able to see the concurrent program from the responsibility then.

How to register custom FacesPageLifecycle?

Hi,
In 10G, to customize the way errors are presented to the users I was extending ADFPhaseListener to provide my custom FacesPageLifecycle.
However, in 11G ADFPhaseListener is marked as deprecated saying that to customize the lifecycle I must register a listener in adf-config.xml.
This does not tell me how to register a custom page lifecycle. The latest developer's guide is still referring the SRDemo way (see section 37.3.1).
What is the 11G way of achieving this?

Go to system adminstration responsibility
Create a conc. executable. Select execution method as pl/sql stored program and then enter your second procedure name as follows
package_name.procedure_name.
Then create conc. program that uses the above executable.
Add the program to a request group.
Add the request group to a responsibility.
Now you will be able to run your procedure.

I logged in as J2ee_admin and I see SAP Mobile Infrastructure under the Administration adn underneath I see Mobile device releated configurations But there I don't see any options for creating a entry for registering a mobile device.
How can we register a mobile device/laptop there???

Hi Greetson,
well, if you open the NWA and select
"Mobile Infrastructure->Device Maintenance", search for all devices.
Select the deviceId you are interested in, then in the bottom part of the screen you will find some informations of the device. Open the second tab ("Mobile Components"). You should see "MobileEngine JSP" there as entry. Correct so far?
Then there is a button "Add/Remove"
If you select that button a new window opens. In there you can select the component you want to install on the device. Please enter the username as well - this is mandatory for the assignment. Well, then press add and the entry occures in the list at the bottom of the screen.
Next Sync - app comes down to the device.
Oh - before this can happen, you have to deploy the SDA file on the J2EE - but this is a logical step I guess.

Program crashes when using Cwui.ocx controls

My program (using controls from cwui.ocx) runs without any problems on Polish version of NT (on Win2K also). When I try to create any controls on German version of NT4.0 (SP 6.0a, VS C++ 6.0 with SP 5.0) it crashes imediately. Why? ( of course cwui.ocx was registered in OS using regsrv32).

Right away, I can tell you that Polish and German OSes are not readily available to most of the Application Engineers that field your questions. What I can recommend doing is this: go to www.ni.com/ask and send in an e-mail to one of the engineers here. Include as much information, and maybe even your code, if that is at all possible. If they do not find an immediate solution, which I haven't been able to locate thus far, they will be able to get a hold of the R&D department to see if they can evaluate t
his issue.
Off hand, it seems like an OS conflict, but R&D will be able to confirm that for you. So, I would recommend pursuing that route and we will endeavor to get your issue addressed as quickly as possible.
