How to reinstall Audio Drivers

I disabled by mistake an audio driver on my Pavilion dv6 laptop and I don't remember the name of it or know how to reinstall it. Anyone have advice on where I can go to do that?

you can check device manager to see if the driver is disabled.
you can get another copy of your audio driver by visiting hp.com and put your p/n number in the hp search bar in the upper right, selecting software and driver downloads, selecting your operating system and then the applicable driver.
I can give you direct links for your needs if you post your P/N number, or  full model of your unit.

  • Anyone know how to reinstall midi drivers?

Logic Pro hangs when loading.  It hangs at the point that it is checking the midi drivers.  I went into the utility midi studio to check the midi environment, and the utility hangs as well with nothing being found.  Previously, it found my Mbox 2, IAB, and Axiom Pro 49 drivers, as well as the synths I had connected to them.  I tried to roll back to a Time Machine backup from last week but that didn't help.  Where do I find the drivers on my system.  Macbook Pro, OSX Lion 10.7.5.  Thanks.

  • How to reinstall audio

for a mac book air with snow leopard operating system?

Not familiar with MacBook Air's but didn't they come with a OS X  USB key with Snow on it?
You (I think) option boot or c boot off of that, and chose the option to simply install OS X, it will ovrwrite the installed version with a copy from the USB, installing the audio with it.
then you (gulp) use the Software Update to get current (take your chances my friend)
    Please backup your files first

  • How to reinstall Creative Audio Conso

Can someone provide the link or tell me how to reinstall the Creative Audio Console? I discovered this program was no longer working when I went to open it and I got the error message "the audio device supported by this application is no longer detected."?I do have my driver and CreativeMedia Source 5 correctly installed. However, I don't see a link for the Audio Console. I have Vista Home Premium on a Dell XPS 40.
PS Control Panel indicates its installed and shows Creative Audio Console taking up .37 MB. However, again it doesn't work. It won't let me install it from Control Panel either. It states "setup.exe has stopped working"?Please advise. Thanks for any help/suggestions. My soundcard is the X-fi X-treme Music Card.

Audio Console is included in the latest drivers, the easiest way to reinstall it is to reinstall the drivers but if you want to reinstall only the app, uncompress the drivers package with WinRAR and run the setup program from the AudCon Folder. If your X-Fi is OEM you may need to mod CL's drivers, or get a package from Dell that includes AudioConsole.

  • How can I reinstall Bluetooth drivers after loading windows 7 64 bit version on my 2010 iMac?

I have just uninstalled windows 7 32 bit version which I have been using for ages and upgraded to the 64 bit version. I did this from the windows partition in my bootcamp divided hard drive. I then reinstalled the drivers using the application DVD which came with my machine but the Bluetooth driver is missing. One thought I have is whether I would be able to use the driver DVD which came with my 2011 MacBook Air (which has been running fine on windows 64bit version since I bought it)
Would this work or any other ideas?

  • I recently installed vista to my mac (32bit)...my headphones are not working. I can't find the 3.5mm jack that apple suggests using. I have tried installing/unistalling several different audio drivers. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I recently installed vista to my mac (32bit). My headphones are not working on it. I could not find the "3.5mm jack" that apple suggests to "solve" this issue. And I have tried installing/uninstalling audio drivers. Can anyone help?

you don't need several drivers, you just need the audio driver for your Mac, which you didn't list, but would be Cirrus or RealTek.
Along with uninstalling programs, go to Dev Manager and uninstall driver, or even rollback driver.
some people have trouble installing or finding driver that will install.

  • S5503w win7 64bit ethernet and audio drivers

I recently acquired a Pavilion Slimline (s5503w) desktop PC.  For whatever reason the hard drive was blanked out when I recieved it and upon installing Windows 7 64-bit (Ultimate Ed) I've had quite some time locating the proper drivers.  Attempting to use the recommended drivers from this website resulted in a 9996 error, you don't meet the requirments.  Proper recommended installer for that version of windows, but no luck.  I've also tried installing the Ethernet and Audio drivers recommended by Nividia's website.  A 15.49 package, but though it recognizes the video card it doesn't notice the onboard Ethernet or Audio.  Neither of these devices is listed in device manager as far as I can tell either.   No typical yellow exclemation mark stating that the driver is missing.
Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly apperciated.

    Hi:
I don't think there is anything wrong with the hardware.
    I would reinstall W7.
Then right afterward, install that nForce chipset driver first and reboot.
Then the video driver I posted and reboot.
Then the audio driver I posted and reboot.
If you still have issues, try a manual install.
Download the free 7-zip file utility and extract the files you downloaded into folders.
Then click on each device in the device manager that needs the drivers.
Click on the driver tab, click on update driver, select the Browse my computer for software and browse to the folders you extracted for each device.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the drivers install that way.
There has to be a way to get these items installed.
If you stil can't get the drivers installed, please post the hardware ID's for each device needing drivers so I can confirm that they are what they are supposed to be according to the product specs for your PC.
If you don't know where to find the hardware ID, please read the info at the link below.

  • Updating my audio drivers

    Hello,
Recently, I've been trying to find out how I update my Audio Drivers for my 2.4GHZ Intel Core Duo iMac, because also recently, I was playing Counter Strike:Source Via 'Crossover' on leopard. Turned it off for the night, came back on the next day and I'm getting No Audio in CSS, but all my other programs are working fine.
I've tried reinstalling CSS already to no avail, so I'm gonna try and see if I can update my Audio Drivers and see if that works, because right now, this is the only thing I can think off.
Unless anyone else knows what might be causing this problem.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sharp

If you don't have the latest software for your Mac run software update from the Apple menu. Macs aren't like PCs, you don't need to go hunting for drivers for the internal stuff like sound cards or graphics cards software update looks after all of this.
You may want to try trashing the plist for Counterstrike, if you can find it, as it could well be corrupted.
