it was annoying. I just lost my itouch with lots of applications and data that stored in the old itouch.
I believed the old itouch content was backuped up to my laptop. how do I reinstated the content from the backup files to the new itouch I just bought...

You can sync as many ipods as you like to one computer.
Plug in the new one and sync whatever you lime to it.
Everything that is on the old ipod should be on your computer.

Why hasn't apple set an official release date on the new ipod touch 5th generation?

I was really happy to preorder the new Ipod touch and thinking it was going to be shipped when the iPhone came out. But why do we have to wait until october ?

Correction the ANNOUNCED it on the 12th of september.
Nobody knows (except for apple of course). All it says on the ipod touch page that it ships in October so it could be any date. I predict that it is in the first two weeks of October but when it says buy it now instead of pre-order you know its about to come out.

I don't know what's going on for you, my friend. The one I got works just fine. Maybe it was a lemon cord. Try taking it to a local apple or Mac store and see if they will replace it for you.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How can we move the 'application data\apple computers' folder to another location

We use roaming profiles and the Application Data folder is stored on a network drive with restricted space (500MB). This has not been a problem in the past but since we've been rolling out iPad's & iPhones, this restriction is becoming a problem as iTunes download's ios updates and stores device backups in 'application data\apple computers' folder (and not in the media library).
Does anyone know how we can move this 'application data\apple computers' folder to another location or force iTunes to store the downloads/updates in the media library (which can be moved)?
