How to Reinstall CS 5.5 Design Premium - Do I download Trial Version?

I was provided this link at Download and Installation Help to Reinstall CS 5.5 Design Premium. It already did not work once. When I first bought the product in 2011 I had to eventually download the TRIAL VERISION of CS 5.5 Design Premium. Adobe customer service is a joke and I am still waiting for someone here to answer this question. Do I need to download the trial or the real version of CS 5.5 Design Premium? PLEASE HELP?

You should be able to download the trial, and then use your license key to unlock the full program. At least that was the case for the CS6 Master Collection. A word of warning, however: Adobe has been dropping support for CS6 licenses like nobody's business over the past several weeks, leaving a large number of people twisting in the wind because they're keys are no longer "valid" in Adobe's system. I don't know if this is the case for CS5.5, but I wouldn't be surprised if you found that it is, and I wouldn't expect much help from Adobe's customer "support"; they'll just send you in circles while skirting the problem, and won't provide any assistance in getting it fixed. I sincerely hope you are able to get your problem resolved though, as nobody should have to endure the stress and frustration that a lot of us have had to recently.

    I appreciate your answer.  While it might work, I'm a bit hesitant to remove the other programs as a possible solution since they are all currently working.
    With Acrobat 9 Pro failing with the OS 10.7 upgrade, I'm hoping that there is a less severe solution.
    Since the trigger appears to be 10.7 and may have something to do with the discontinued support of Rosetta, I could be spending a few hours working on a reinstall without a change.  Yes, it might work.  The "might" is the part that makes me hesitate.
    Is anyone else out there on OS 10.7 and running Acrobat 9 Pro?  Any issues with anyone else?

    and activate with your serial number.
    if you have a download problem (eg, you see an error page or you are offered an incorrect version), you probably didn't follow all 7 steps.  typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem, but your browser must also allow cookies so that (a restrictive browser setting) is another potential source of problems.

    It would appear that your system is somewhat mangled, and it is time for some general 'servicing'.
    Start here:
    Repairing permissions is important, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
    Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
    In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
    This only takes a minute or two in Tiger, but much longer in Leopard.

    If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
    Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

Upon opening up the .dmg file and starting the install process, I'm prompted with an "Install Error" telling me: "Please insert Adobe Photoshop CS4 to continue installation." I do not have a disk for PS CS4. How do I continue the install??

    Transferring files between machines doesn't work for Adobe applications.  You should uninstall anything you transferred over and use the cleaner tool for it.  Then download and install the CS3 suite as a whole.

    If you don't plan to use the old computer anymore you can deactivate the software on it by opening one of the applications and choosing Help -> Deactivate.  But if you could possibly use it as a backup installation feel free to leave it there in working order (you license allows you to have two activated installations).
    To install on a new machine do just that... install it and activate it using the serial number you have from the original purchase.  If you registered the software you should be able to find the serial number thru your Adobe account online.

    You can install CS4 if you want to, but it is not necessary to do if you really only want to install the CS6 upgrade.  You only need the serial number from CS4 in order to confirm the upgrade elligibility when installing/activating CS6.
    To install CS4, you can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
    Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

    Thanks for your answer. The reason is because I am working on a Navy computer with limited space on my C Drive.  I have more space available to me on a "D" Drive.  I am running Windows XP with 3GB RAM and 17GB on the D.  I only have 10GB on the C Drive, but that needs to stay open for system patches, & other software.  Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 is installed on the C.
