How to reinstall gmail after changing password

I changed my password in my gmail account and now messages do not show in (apple) mail. The password was changed in (apple)mail also and the account is showned in mailboxes, but from the time I changed the password no mail is added.

I found my problem. I set up the 2 level sign in in gmail and apple does not reconize this type of sign in.
I had to go back into gmail and set a special password for the mac.

If you have 2-step verification set up for your gmail account, you will need to generate an application-specific password for your iphone applications (because those apps apparently don't support 2-step verification).
Go into your google account, look in accounts/security/2-step verification, there is a link called "Manage your application specific passwords"   Use that to generate a special password for your iphone apps and use that instead of your usual gmail password on your phone.

  • Apple ID still disabled after changed password.

I've changed my password after I first gotten the apple id disabled messages on my ipad and iphone, but now it is still showing the message saying my Apple ID is disabled.... However, I can still log in with my recently changed password.  What is causing the message reappearing and how can I make it go away?  Help please!!!!
    Thank you

If you are getting the message on your iPad then try logging out of your account on it by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it.

  • How to allow users to change password

I have enabled users to change their passwords in the Server.app for the Default Site with SSL, and who can access is a group of individuals.
When I load up the Server site, I am presented with
a Login to which I then add my username and password and I am then presented with
    Welcome to OS X Server
OS X Server makes it easier than ever for the people in your organization to collaborate, communicate, and share information.
I Choose My Settings and the site is redirected to /changepassword of which a page comes
    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /auth/ on this server.
The Directory /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/auth/ exists with the corret permissions.  This is an empty directoy tho
    Apache Logs:

I cannot get this to work.  WIki's are turned on but that doesnt work either.
If I Launch /wiki, I am prompted to login, to with I do, and i just get a blank web page
    Apache logs:
    File does not exist: /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/__collabd
This is on a new install of OSX server
    Any Suggestions?

    Hi,
On the landing page at the bottom it should say "change password".
That brings you to a forbidden page?
On my server I do not have the /auth/ folder in my default site, but my changepassword page does work.
Can you check if going to https://127.0.0.1/changepassword does work? It will give an SSL error.
Then it might be DNS related conflicting with another router/server in your network
Or... charge $ 5 per user to change his or her password personally
    Goodluck!

  • How to Restrict users to change password

    Hi All,
I would like to restrict user to change password only defined number of times in a day, Is it possible to do it through group policies.
Please note i am already aware of "Minimum Password age" feature, however i do not want to use it as the minimum value that i can set here is 1 day. I would like to restrict users based on password reset threshold e.g. User can reset his password
in a day only twice or thrice.
    Thanx & Regards,
    Wasim Parkar

If you want to limit the user to have his/her password changed for a specific number of time every day, I have to say
NO thats not possible. PSO's as other mentioned, can be used to have different password policies. Maybe you can set the msDS-MinimumPasswordAge
to 00:04:00:00 which is equal to 4 hours. It means every 4 hours a user will be able to change his/her password. So in each day a user can change the password 6 times, since a day is 24 hours.
Do not forget a day start from 00:00 AM up to 11:59 PM. So in a 9 to 5 job, a user may change the password 2-3 times.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to set "User cannot change password" on W2K accounts.

    Hi gurus,
I need to set (from create user form) "User cannot change password" on W2K accounts.
I was expected that some value of userAccountControl attribute on AD could do the job, but I realized that it is not so (look also to http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=593193&messageID=3108889).
    Thanks for any suggestion.

Yeah thats right, I have implemented the same using nTSecurityDescriptor attribute

  • Cannot get mail even after changing password

I have not been able to get incoming mail on either of my iMacs.   I can send but not recieve.  My iPhone and iPads do get mail but neither iMac.  I have read here to change password.  I did that and it is the same.  This has been going on for 3 days now.

Replying to myself.  I went onto my iMac and manually enetered the server imap.mail.me.com in the advanced section.  It still shows the p01-imap.mail.me.com but somehow it works now.

  • Skype still connected after changing password twic...

My tablet was lost and the thief has continued to use my skype. I have changed password and yet I can still see it online.
    What can I do.

Hi, Taiwoawonorin, and welcome to the Community,
The perpetrator will not have access to your account now that you have changed the password.  The status setting is a known glitch in the later versions of the Skype software.  Please see this FAQ article, in particular:
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10042/what-are-chat-commands-and-roles?
    /remotelogout
Sign out all other instances except the current one. This will also stop push notifications on all other instances.
    /showplaces
Lists other instances where this Skype name is currently signed in.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • HT201320 Gmail (non)Access on IPhone 4 after changing password on-line

I changed the password on my Gmail account on-line, due to the Heartbleed Bug (per Google/Gmail instructions), and have changed the password for my gmail on my i phone (4), but it will no longer allow me to receive my gmail on my phone, because it says my password is incorrect. ??? It keeps sending me back to the same page in Settings where I would re-enter my gmail password, which I've done, several times, and rebooted my phone, and still can no longer receive mail on my phone. I can get into my account on-line, using my new password.
    Any suggestions?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide...

I Had this problem on my Ipad.  I went to mail, contacts, calendars under settings.  Then I deleted the Gmail account.  Next I added it under add account.  Essentially I reinstalled it there by choosing Google and then filling out all the other specs.  And putting in my new password.  During some parts of this you have to click on done.  Arrow yourself back to see that it is as you want it.  Done!  I had to do this on each of my i pads as well....the ipad mini too.
