How to reinstall hp recovery manager

I had my computer cleaned and the guy removed everything from my computer including my built in webcam pack..Currently using Hp touch smart 300, windows 7...Tried to access my recovery manager only to find that it has been removed also.
Is there anyway to reinstall  the HP recovery manager so that I can download the drivers to run my webcam?

Hi,
Please download the following package for Windows 7 and install on your machine:

  • How to remove "HP recovery manager" from boot menu?

I got about a year ago a virus attack on my computer. Knocked it out completely. In the process of reinstalling the computer, HP Recovery Manager was added to the boot menu.
I now need to remove it from the boot menu as this takes an unnecessarily long time to boot Windows. How do I do this?
Sorry if this has already been written solution, do not know what keywords I should look for in this forum to get answers to my questions.

    Hi,
Here's an alternative option you can use.
Before trying the following, make sure you can still read the 25 Character Product Activation key on your Windows COA label ( 5 blocks of 5 alpha/numeric sets ).
An example of a COA Label can be seen Here.
You can create an installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the correct Disc Image ( this must be the  same version that originally came with your notebook - ie Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit ) from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here.  These Images are clean and from a well-respected source, however there are only limited versions available.
    Windows-7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit
Use the disc to perform the installation, enter the Windows activation key found on the COA Label when requested and when the installation has completed, use the 'Phone Method' detailed in the link below to activate the OS - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who just want a clean installation of Windows 7 without the additional software load normally bundled with OEM installations.

Any additional drivers and software you may need can be found Here.

  • Pavilion dv7-1285dx - HOW TO FIX FROZEN RECOVERY MANAGER!!!!

First, I apologize for having a second post on this, but I need an answer ASAP on how to proceed here.
In three trials now, this laptop has gotten stuck at 19% while attempting to recover from the partition.
I have left it on for nearly two hours straight with no progress. I would like to listen to the disk, but all I hear is the very loud fan on this computer.
How do I get this thing past 19%? I would prefer to get it done as quickly as possible after having spent over twelve hours attempting to fix this laptop.

Enter BIOS setup by tapping/holding the F10 key immediately after powering on the laptop.Use Diagnostics to test your hdd.

  • Recovery manager does not show up

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 CTO Notebook PC with Windows 7 professional.
I want to reinstall the operating system and to return the pc to its original condition. If I am well informed I think I should do this through recovery manager. However, when I restart the computer and I press f11 nothing happens at all. Also, I cannot find recovery manger anywhere in the computer. How can I open recovery manager? Is there any other way in which I can perform a system recovery? Thanks.

    Hi @Meri01
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I saw your post regarding wanting to a recovery back to factory defaults. The reason you can't find the HP Recovery Manager is because you are no longer using the original operating system that came with the notebook. It would have been Vista or XP.
You might be able to order a set of recovery CDs put it would be for Windows Vista or XP and if you do the recovery you will lose Windows 7. To do that you can contact HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or start here if you live outside of North America.
Your best bet would be to back up your files and reinstall the operating system using the CDs you used to install Windows 7 Professional in the first place.

  • Dv6775us HP Backup and Recovery Manager software corrupted - can't find download

I am getting an HP error message saying the HP Backup and Recovery Manager software has been corrupted and needs to be updated. For over an hour I have been frustrated trying to find where on this site to download a replacement of what was installed or an upgrade that would repair the problem.
Can anyone point me to where I can get the software? Thanks.
    HP Pavilion dv6775us
    Vista Home Advanced

Did you make a recovery disk set or usb recovery media?
If you did, then you are in luck because  that is the software that can be used to reinstall the Recovery manager.
The downside is that you will have to do a  factory image recovery to reinstall the software.  A recovery is a destructive process, unlike a Windows stystem restore. A recovery will mean that you  will needto save all of your data externally  to avoid losing it and reinstall all of your programs after the recovery is complete.

  • Recovery manager program in not running

    sir.
    I have dm4-1160us notebook..
I want to recover my windows 7 primium from the recovery partition..
but there is know software for recovery manager right now..
by mistake I have uninstalled it from my laptop ..so unable to recover my window..
so please tell me a proper solution.
how to find the recovery manager software program..
please tell me the linke on the internet..
    please please please..

    Hi,
just look at that ENTRY routine. It calls routine PROCESSING and this routine call GET_DATA. Look at the code:
      VBCO3-SPRAS = NAST-SPRAS.
      VBCO3-VBELN = NAST-OBJKY.
      VBCO3-KUNDE = NAST-PARNR.
      VBCO3-PARVW = NAST-PARVW.
So the key to data is stored in global structure NAST. So fill global NAST structure in your program and call entry routine from RVADDN01. If you want to more about data, just put break point in the entry routine and print sales document from the standard transaction. It should stop there (it depends on customizing which print program is set) and you will be able to check values of all structures.

  • How to reinstall old apps backed up using recovery mgr backup software

I crashed my machine after reloading some .NET framework files.  Since windows no longer loaded, I used the HP Recovery disks and did a full backup to both DVD and USB of my hard drive.  Then I went ahead and let the recovery disks reformat and reload the system to factory.  I went to use recovery manager to re-install all those apps and files, but all it did was copy all the stuff to a folder on my C:\ drive.  SO the dozen or so apps (quicken, genealogy, adobe paintshop & pdf, MS SQL) are not loaded. Yet it appears that my entire system is sitting in a file folder.  Great if I only wanted data, but I really would like to use the apps without reloading it all from scratch.  I did not find any executable files to start such a reload. I was happy with my machine before the crash, and if I could have done a simple recover to before I installed those files, I would have done so instead of the reformat.  Alas, no matter how far back I went, windows was pretty much DOA.
I Have an HP Pavillion with win7.
    Is this a lost cause?
    This question was solved.

The HP Recovery software only backs up a specific list of data file types and the folder they reside in. No programs were backed up and even if they were, they wouldn't operate correctly. You will need to reinstall all software that you previously installed.

  • How to reinstall Windows 8 on Yoga 13 with damaged Recovery Image?

I changed the partitions on my Yoga 13. Now it is not possible to refresh, reinstall or perform an advance start-up, as it looks like there is no recovery image anymore. The systems is currently very messy and needs a reinstall.
Can someone tell me how to reinstall Windows 8 on the Yoga 13 when the recovery image is lost or damaged?

    hi Chevex,
Thanks for using Lenovo Community Forums!
In the event that the Recovery partition is not working the only option is to use the Recovery CD that you can create when you first got the computer.
but if you were not able to create a Recovery CD and the Onekey Recovery is not working.
You can get the Recovery CD from the Software Department (Fees may apply to the discs)
you can contact the Hardware Team again and ask to be transferred to Software team for purchasing RCD

  • How can I restore the HP's recovery manager back?

Recently, few days back I found my system had some viruses as my machine got slow day by day. I formated the official windows 8.1 that came with the laptop and also formatted all available partitions too. Now, I need that HP's recovery manager back to restore my laptop to its zero meter state. But unfortunately, I have not find any solution to my question after researching it on the forums. I have a local warranty for my laptop. My machine's model is 15-d000se. Can HP help me suggest how can I restore the factory settings back? Is there any solution to my problem? Can I get that HP recovery manager or is there any alternative solution or software that can do this exact job like HP recovery manager. I need to factory reset my hp machine.

Since you deleted/format all original partitions, you will need to use the HP Recovery Media you created when you first setup your computer to return your computer to a factory like state. If you didn't create this media, please contact official HP support in your region / country, via the HP Worldwide Support Portal, to see if HP Recovery Media is available for your computer.

  • Satellite 2450: How to reinstall WXP on existing partition from recovery disc?

    Hello:
This question has been asked before, but the answer is as follows:
On this forum you can use Advanced search option to find some solutions if someone wrote about it before.
    Anyway check this please
    http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2513&tstart=125
I checked this and it gives an answer how to create a partition but not how to reinstall xp in the c drive from the recovery disk.
There is the choice to go to expert, but once there I have no idea what to do. Lots of potential settings, but nothing to say how to reinstall xp without wiping out all the other drives.
    Thanks for any help

    Hello tw
Like I said in my explanation If you want to install OS on a partition please use Expert mode. In this case the software can be installed onto an existing partition. You can also make one by yourself.
If you want to install the OS on existing partition make it on this way:
    1) put Recovery CD or DVD in DVD drive
    2) pres power button and after that press and hold down C button
    3) after short time there is an menu and choose Expert mode pressing number 2
    4) Approve OK pressing ENTER button
    5) Choose LOCAL > PARTITION > FROM IMAGE
    6) Look in: must be selected to CD-ROM drive and In the middle window choose GHO file and press ENTER
    7) The information about drive will be shown > press ENTER again
    8) The local destination drive will be shown > press ENTER again
    9) The next window show both partition if you have two of them. On this place you must chose the destination partition (the first one is under Part 1)
    10) The OS will be installed on marked partition (you can change it using UP and DOWN buttons)
    11) If the partition is selected press ENTER button
    12) The small Information window appear with follow content: Proceed with partition load? Destination partition will be permanently overwritten.
    13) Confirm with OK
I hope that your installation will be successful.
If you have more questions please write again and I hope that we will find an solution.
    Good luck!
