How to reinstall icloud

Hello,
I deleted icloud from my Macbook Air when I purchased it a couple of years ago.  Since then, I have acquired an i-phone and have signed up for icloud on it.  But, I cannot figure out how to reinstall icloud onto my MacbookAir.  All of the instructions tell me to go to system preferences and simply click on the icon for icloud... this doesnt help as there is no icon or program on my Mac any longer.  I couold not get any assistance via the Apple website as my warranty period is expired.  Any guidance?  Thank you!  Tlawish

iCloud needs OS X Mountain Lion or Lion. If you purchased OS X Lion or Mountain Lion in the past, make a backup, go to App Store > Purchases and download this. If not, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. Anyway, I recommend you to upgrade to Mountain Lion

  • HT4847 Please help me how to reinstall icloud back up from specific date. (eg. back up from 1.02.13).

My phone was not backed up on icloud due to excess storage size for one month. Recently i lost some contacts by accident. and it was backed up on icloud again this morning .so I would like to reinstall from last month back up to get all contacts back. but when i connected to computer, I only have a choice to reinstall from last 5 months ago which was backed up on my computer manually. So, please help me how to choose to reinstall icloud back up from specific date from last month (eg. 02.02.2013). Thank you very much.

You cannot selectively restore from iCloud. You can only do a full device restore by resetting the device and choosing to restore from the iCloud backup during the setup process.

  • My husband deleted iCloud from my ipad, does anyone know how I can reinstall iCloud on my ipad?

My husband deleted iCloud from my ipad, does anyone know how I can reinstall iCloud on my ipad?

You've tried logging out and back into your account on your iPad ?
If that hasn't fixed it then try closing Settings and iTunes apps via your iPad's multitasking bar :
iOS7 : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the Settings and iTunes app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
iOS 6 and below : from the home screen (i.e. not with Settings or iTunes apps 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Settings and iTunes apps to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
When your iPad has restarted see if you can log into iCloud and if the iTunes store works.

  • How to reinstall the icloud on my ipad2?

I would like to know how to reinstall the icloud on my ipad2, version5.1. Thank you

You don't reinstall iCloud. What exactly do you want to do - restore from an iCloud backup? If so, you have to erase the device and start all over again in order to get to the iCloud backup.

I am just guessing here on that is what you want to do, so if that's not it, post back.

  • Reinstalling iCloud Control Pannel

many days ago,i used this code (mklink /J "C:\Users\Mehdi\iCloudDrive" "<D:>") to change the location of my icloud drive to partition \D from \C on my windows 8.1 Laptop(because of loosing space on partition C )...
and now when i'm trying to reinstall icloud control panel (after uninstalling it) i get this error message:(there is a problem with this windows installer package.a program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected.contact your support personnel or package vendor)
so...what's the problem and how should i fix it?

There isn't an iCloud control panel that is compatible with Windows XP.  You have to have Vista or higher.
Here's the one for Vista: iCloud Control Panel 2.1.3 for Windows Vista, and here is the one for Windows 7 / 8: iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows.

  • How to reinstall  cloud backup

my daughter has cancelled some apps from my ipad, and now i have to reinstall icloud back.
    how I do it ?

If you remember which apps were delete, it's easier to go to the app store and re-download them; it won't cost you.
If by "reinstall icloud" you mean restore from a backup, then you'll need to reset your ipad (this will wipe everything from it) and connect to iTunes and select to restore from a backup.  I'm assuming you had set ipad to perform backups to icloud (or to iTunes).

  • How to uninstall icloud

How do I uninstall and reinstall Icloud? thanks

You have to SIGNOUT first from ICloud. Then you can uninstall it by going to the control panel in Windows and then you have the one which permits to remove program. However, a lot and I mean of lot of stuff is left behind.  I have done the operation a few times and I had to use GHOST to bring back my machine to a state before doing those operation.  I bought a commercial uninstaller to help and even then there is so much &_?)))&&&  left it is a shame.  I had to go directly into the Registry to finally get rid of the ICloud Control Panel appearing despite the fact it let to nothing.
I wonder why Apple does not provide a true uninstaller to totally clean the machine.

  • How to reinstall pre-installed iWorks after hard drive replaced?

iWork was pre-installed on my iMac (July 2010) 3.2 gHz i3 running OS10.6.8. The original hard drive was recalled by Apple and replaced. I backed up all data to Crash Plan prior to the change out. When I tried to open any of the iWorks programs I received the following error message:
I checked my install discs and application install discs, but iWork does not show up there. How can reinstall these programs?

Thanks, mate, but the computer did not come with any iWork DVD. It only had the OS install disc and the Application restore disc, neither of which contain iWork. The error message reads: "Pages cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Pages works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X. Clic Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."
I sent a report to Apple. This message repeats for Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. My original receipt shows the iWork app was paid for.

  • How to reinstall PDF Printer in Print & Scan window on OSX 10.8.2

I was having issues where PDF's were not saving when I was printing them, so I thought that if I deleted the PDF printer from my list of printers and reinstalled it, my problem would be solved.  Now I can't figure out how to reinstall (add) the PDF printer back into this window.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat, and I have been searching the web for about an hour.

  • How to reinstall windows 8 on bootcamp

how to reinstall windows 8 on bootcamp macbook pro, without losing anything on OS (Apple) side

Start Bootcamp Assistant then select the option to remove Windows and return your drive to a single partition. Once Windows is removed start Bootcamp Assistant again and select the option to install Windows. Follow the Bootcamp instructions for installing Windows.
This process will not cause lose of OSx data or applications if done correctly. But as allways, create a good backup of your data because things sometimes go wrong or instructions are not followed causing data lose.

  • HT4436 how to login Icloud with apple ID on windows 7

how to login Icloud with apple ID on windows 7

If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud on each device, yes. However, you can use the same Apple ID for iTunes content on each device, but different Apple ID's for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc., on each device. That way, you can have whatever iTunes content you want on each phone, but keep all of the other data separate. You can create another Apple ID here:
    https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleId?loca lang=en_US
Must be a verified email address.

  • I would like to know how to DELETE icloud from my iMAC desk top. Would it automrically have synced with my wife's I pad, and other wireless devices, or is it all seperate

Can anyone help me out ?
I would like to get info on how to DELETE
iCLOUD from my desk top MAC.
Would it already have synced to the iPAD?
Apple does not give any info on the iCLOUD,
in a proper way to DELETE..for that matter,
I can't even find "SETTINGS" on my Mac,
let alone settings for iCLOUD.Any info
would be better than what Apple gives up.
Apple is useless when trying to get any information!

You have to search with some patience and you will find all the informations on the Apple support pages and here in this forum.
You find i Cloud in SAFARI at www.icloud.com and set as you like.
Usually iCloud sincs all the devices which have the same AppleID.
If you wish to use devices for different persons you need to give them different AplleID and on the MAC create different User Accounts. Each will be fully separate.
Or you can go to settings (settings are to be found under the apple icon on top left of the screen) and from there open Sistem Preferences and iCloud.

  • My hard drive crashed and I want to reinstall my personal itunes on another computer but I need to deauthorize my the original computer and I don't know how to reinstall.  Can someone help me please?

My hard drive crashed and I restored my computer with my daughter's hard drive (her battery was dead) and I want to install my personal itunes on the new hard drive.  I was unable to deauthorize the original computer and I do not know how to reinstall my personal itunes.  Can someone help me with this?
    Thank you.

Without a backup of your "crashed" HD you will have to download your iTunes purchases again. Make sure your restored computer is running the latest version of iTunes.
Here is the procedure for your reference.
On your restored computer, launch iTunes. Click on iTunes Store on the left
On the right you will see this
"Sign in" using the Apple ID used to purchase your songs, then click on "Purchased" (with the orange blob)
On the summary page that appears select the tab "Not on This Computer" on the right.
On the list that appears, select what you want and then click the "Download" button.
When you want to play your newly downloaded music, you will have to "authorize" it. Don't worry about the lost HD until enough of your computers crash that you reach the limit of 5. Then you can "deauthorize all" and re-authorize as necessary.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

I have a windows PC. When I enter my apple id and password to the icloud, it shows "Apple id is correct but it's not an iCloud account" So how I create iCloud account or how can I fix it?

To enable iCloud on your Windows PC,
first set up iCloud on your other (Apple) devices,
then install the iCloud Control Panel for Windows...
