How to Reinstall PSE 10

How can I download and reinstall Photoshop and Premiere Elements 10? I've had some problems running OS X Maverick on my IMAC and now when I try to start the app I get a Configuration Error: 6 with a message I need t reinstall the application.

Before you do that, a little more information. Did you upgrade to mavericks over an installed version of PSE? Did you delete all preferences after upgrading, if so?
Also, did you mean to type 6, or is it really 16? If the latter, try this first:

Reinstall PSE 8 catalog on windows 7

I needed to buy a new Windows 7 based laptop and successfully reinstalled PSE 8 on it. I have also successfully duplicated all applications and tranfered the data across to my new laptop incuding the pictures which formed the basis of my PSE 8 catalog. Already saved on an external hard drive are copies of my photos with caption embedded using PSE 8.
How do I load my photos including captions into the PSE 8 application on my new laptop?

Sorry for my delay in communicating and yes my reinstall of PSE 8 catalog on Windows 7 appears to be successful. I am currently ‘Getting my photos from File’ and both the photos (.jpg) and captions are successfully loading into my catalog which I am storing into their original albums.

Did you not look at the link in the thread in my last post, Lorna?
When you buy software it's your responsibility to keep the media against
future reinstallations, whether you purchase via download or on disc. If
you registered your software, for PSE 9 you may still find a download
link in your adobe store account, if you purchased PSE that way, also.

Toshiba must have or should have provided you with a CD/DVD and seril number with the machine. however, if PSe is freezing then the first thing you need to try is to reset it to default settings. This can be done in two ways but the easiest ay to do is to go to (I am mentioning only the one method here):
<C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\11.0\Editor>
Find the file called: Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Prefs.psp and rename it to: Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Prefs.old
For username you need to insert the correct username or Windows profile name. Also, when you are doing this, make sure PSE is closed completely i.e. you should not have it open to do any work.
I am assuming you know how to browse the relevant folders if they are hidden in the system because this is taken for granted here. Also, the file names may not have any extensions but I am sure you know how to make them display on the screen.

Reinstalling PSE 6.0

I want to reinstall PSE 6.0 on my computer because it's taking forever to load. I think it's because I downloaded a "registry optimizer awhile ago and it messed things up!! How can I keep all the photos that are on there now and reload them after reinstalling the program?? I'm a beginner when it comes to these things so please keep it simple!! I have a Dell computer (4 years old?), running Windows Vista.

You were correct Barbara. I uninstalled PSE and then reinstalled it but it didn't solve my problem, which is the slow "loading" of the program when I click on the icon to start it up. It takes a good one to two minutes before it "starts!!" (I take that back.......I just timed it and it took 5 full minutes before it started!!) Could it have something to do with the amount of pictures I have on the program?? And, if so, how can I fix that problem?? Thanks for your response.

I wanted editing a photo from lightroom to elements but lightroom did not open elements. Your site said first to reinstall Elements before to try more comlicated things. It is the worst thing I ever done. Now i have lost Elements at all. It does not want to reinstall. Very funny. I tried all Adobe (!!!) suggestions: change OOBE for OOBE.bak; copy file from the dvd to computer before autorun executable,etc etc NOTHING WORKS !
Adobe suggested to download ASA program but only to tell us that it does more exist !!! After that they suggested to try to find MANUALLY the dailies failure reports !!! It is impossible to understand those reports

Stop antivirus
Restart windows
Copy directory of the DVD Adobe PSE 11 to c\ ord\:nameit ADOBE\
Open file
Click right to setup.exe
Buzinga.

How to reinstall pre-installed iWorks after hard drive replaced?

iWork was pre-installed on my iMac (July 2010) 3.2 gHz i3 running OS10.6.8. The original hard drive was recalled by Apple and replaced. I backed up all data to Crash Plan prior to the change out. When I tried to open any of the iWorks programs I received the following error message:

Thanks, mate, but the computer did not come with any iWork DVD. It only had the OS install disc and the Application restore disc, neither of which contain iWork. The error message reads: "Pages cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Pages works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X. Clic Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."
I sent a report to Apple. This message repeats for Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. My original receipt shows the iWork app was paid for.

I was having issues where PDF's were not saving when I was printing them, so I thought that if I deleted the PDF printer from my list of printers and reinstalled it, my problem would be solved. Now I can't figure out how to reinstall (add) the PDF printer back into this window. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat, and I have been searching the web for about an hour.
I am running OSX 10.8.2
I have Adobe Creative Cloud installed
I am on an iMac 3.4 Ghz Intel Core i7
32 GB of RAM

Start Bootcamp Assistant then select the option to remove Windows and return your drive to a single partition. Once Windows is removed start Bootcamp Assistant again and select the option to install Windows. Follow the Bootcamp instructions for installing Windows.
This process will not cause lose of OSx data or applications if done correctly. But as allways, create a good backup of your data because things sometimes go wrong or instructions are not followed causing data lose.

Without a backup of your "crashed" HD you will have to download your iTunes purchases again. Make sure your restored computer is running the latest version of iTunes.
Here is the procedure for your reference.
On your restored computer, launch iTunes. Click on iTunes Store on the left
On the right you will see this
"Sign in" using the Apple ID used to purchase your songs, then click on "Purchased" (with the orange blob)
On the summary page that appears select the tab "Not on This Computer" on the right.
On the list that appears, select what you want and then click the "Download" button.
When you want to play your newly downloaded music, you will have to "authorize" it. Don't worry about the lost HD until enough of your computers crash that you reach the limit of 5. Then you can "deauthorize all" and re-authorize as necessary.

Well then when you erased your hard drive, your erased the Recovery partition, also.
Use Internet Recovery to either restore from your Time Machine backup or reinstall the OS if you don't have a TM Backup.
It will install the OS that shipped on that Mac. You can then upgrade via the App Store.

If you mean you dragged the hard drive shortcut out of the sidebar of a Finder window, you're quite all right - that's just a shortcut and you haven't lost any files. You can get it back by going to Finder preferences (the Finder menu, then Preferences), click Sidebar, and tick the "hard drives" box fully to show all hard drives.
Post back if you did something different though.
