How to reintall emca?

Hi all,
Unfortunately I deinstalled oracle db console because my console was not working properly. So when i tried to config oracle OEM dbconsole using command
% emca -config dbcontrol db
'emca' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
i am getting following error, that means emca is also deinstalled. How to use reinstall emca and console so to configure OEM?
Oracle 10g on Windows 2003.
Thanks
Jafar

I have never done this before, so can someone explain in detail how I reintall my system software and then restore from Time Machine please ?

Your profile indicates that you currently have an older version of Snow Leopard (10.6.2).  In order to install Lion, a prerequisite is the latest version of Snow Leopard (10.6.8).  Perhaps a few more details would be helpfull in solving your problem. ex. If all you want to do is to upgrade to Lion, a restoration of data is unneccessary.  Download the latest version of Snow Leopard and then download (purchase) and install Lion.  User data will remain intact.
If I am missing something, please elaborate.

I restarted the db tier and tried to configure it but with same error.checked the password policy for profile its unlimited.
I don't understand what is wrong.

Have you changed the password correctly? If yes, can you login using the new password via SQL*Plus?

    Is your listener running?
    Please look at:
*How to Troubleshoot EMCA Failures Due to Connectivity Issue to Database [ID 1106623.1]*
The only thing I can think is that either your database is not running or your environment is not set correctly.
So please make sure your PATH, ORACLE_SID and ORACLE_HOME are set correclty, your database is started and your listener is running.
    also look at

  • DBCnsole service timeout

I'm installing Oracle 10g R2 on a Windows 2000 Server with all patches and upgrades. No previous version of Oracle on this machine. The installation works fine except for the Enterprise Manager component. By "works fine", I mean that all the services are created and I can use the database, including sqlplus and the iSQL*Plus browser interface. But during the install it times out waiting for the dbconsole service to start up, so I can't access the http://{server}:{port}/em site. ("The page cannot be displayed.")
I've repeated this several times using emca.bat and I've found that it will create the OracleDBConsole{xxx} service just fine, but in monitoring the service it takes a little over 8 minutes before the service makes it to the started state each time. Once it's in the started state, I can run "emctl status dbconsole" and it will return "Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g is running." Unfortunately, the EMCA is configured to wait for 5 minutes for the service to start (EMD_HANG_CHECK_STATUS_TIME=300) before it throws in the towel. (I tried changing that to 600 wherever I found it referenced but it doesn't take...it still timesout after 5 minutes.)
Aside from the obvious question as to why would it take 8 minutes for the service to start, does anyone how to make emca either continue from where it left off, or how to extend the timeout period? Is there any form of the emca or emctl that does this?
    Thanks!

    Ugonic,
Here an excerpt from the EMCA log from the point where it attempts to start the service to the point where it times out. FYI, there are no corresponding errors in any of the Windows event logs, so that didn't help in pointing me in any particular direction.
If there's another log that you are interested in, let me know.
    Thanks!

Not so fast,  doesn't mean you're running in 64 bit.
In short, modern versions of OS X are capable of running 32 and 64 bit executables (apps, command line tools, etc). These executables may be distributed as 'fat' executables which contain the executable to run as a 32 or 64 bit process. OS X offers a duality in this regard, where other OSs are more strict about the binaries they run, load, and build.
In OS X, you can have a Intel processor which is 64 bit compatible. Your kernel could run in 32 or 64 bit, and your programs could run in 32 or 64 bit. It depends on your configuration and how the programs/extensions/libraries have been built.
Basically, your confusion comes from the difference between hardware capabilities and the mode of the software you are running which you query. Your processor/hardware is capable of running 64 bit executables, but you have queried the state of an active 32 bit process.
    http://superuser.com/questions/453090/mac-osx-32bit-or-64bit
When I look in System Profiler, I see 64 bit Intel. But I'm running in 32 bit.
