How to rekerberize in Yosemite?

It appears the mechanism for rekerberizing has changed in Yosemite, or been removed. As per this thread of mine (Can't create Local Network Users in Yosemite) which refers to this Apple tip for Mavericks (OS X Server (Mavericks): After upgrading or migrating, network user cannot be created).
On Yosemite:

Notice the (highlighted) .rekerberize check which is missing from Yosemite.
So, does anyone know how to rekerberize on Yosemite?
Note that
$ sudo mkpassdb -kerberize
does not seem to do the job (or at least, I still can't create network users)

There are possibilities that even after uninstalling the Application, small residual files are left back that runs in background later.
To remove all the associated files with Bradford Persistent Agent, try this.......
Download this app called Find any File....http://apps.tempel.org/FindAnyFile/
Only download it from the provided link and not from anywhere else, as there are chances that the software is pre bundled with Mackeeper or any other malware.
Its a full featured trail version. You may buy it if you want. Appstore sells only the paid version of it but you can try it for free on the developers website. Search for Bradford Persistent Agent and remove all the files associated with it after searching with this app.
Hope this helps....

Well then when you erased your hard drive, your erased the Recovery partition, also.
Use Internet Recovery to either restore from your Time Machine backup or reinstall the OS if you don't have a TM Backup.
It will install the OS that shipped on that Mac. You can then upgrade via the App Store.

I have a mid 2010 Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard and foolishly upgraded to Yosemite. Now have numerous problems.  Is it possible to go back in time with Time Machine and reinstall Snow Leopard?  Then upgrade to Lion or Mavericks?  Any other ideas on how I can exit Yosemite?

Once you get yourself back to Snow Leopard, if you still want to upgrade somewhat, I would suggest the following:
    1. Get an external hard drive that you can use for experiments with new OS versions. You could partition it into 2 or 3 partitions. You could then clone your existing Snow Leopard system to one partition using Carbon Copy Cloner (well worth $40) or SuperDuper ($25).
    2. Buy OS X Mountain Lion for $20, through the Apple online store (I don't think it's available through the App Store). Apple has decided to make it very difficult for anyone to get Mavericks unless they have already downloaded it.
You will receive two e-mails from Apple, one containing a PDF with a redemption code, and one with the password you will need to unlock the PDF. Using the code, you will download Mountain Lion from the App Store, where it will appear among your Purchased items.
After ML finishes downloading, its installer app will launch itself. When you see this launch screen, QUIT the install app immediately! Go to your applications folder, find the Install OS X Mountain Lion app, and copy it to a safe location outside of your Applications folder. Keeping one or more copies will allow you to reinstall without unnecessary aggravation if you later need or want to do that. At this point, you can re-launch the Installer in the Applications folder and let it run. You can install it on a clean partition on your external HD, or you can allow it to upgrade the Snow Leopard clone you created on your external drive, or you can do both. This should allow you to test how everything works for as long as you like.
    3. If you left yourself a free partition on your test drive, try a clean install of Yosemite and set everything up from scratch (do not migrate anything). This will allow you to see whether your problems with it were related to something in your Snow Leopard system.

  • How do I get Yosemite to appear in startup disc panel?

How do I get Yosemite to appear in startup disc panel?

There is an issue with Snow Leopard that was reported to Apple, and Apple Engineers replied that it won't be fixed. When you're booted to a Snow Leopard partition, the Startup disk in System Preferences won't display properly or work properly. Selecting it for me, generally resulted in it booting to the Yosemite Recovery partition.
As previously said, I recommend using the Option key on a Restart. Afterwards, you can use the Startup in System Preferences to select the Yosemite partition.

How are Aperture and Yosemite getting along so far?
    Hi guys,
Is it OK for Aperture users to take the plunge and update to Yosemite, or is it wiser to wait for kinks to be worked out first? I didn't find any reference to this matter so far on this forum or on the web. I may have mort worded it correctly.
    Thanks for responding,

    OS X 10.10.1
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 duo
    4GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256MB
Opening apps or web pages is incredibly slow and extremely frustrating.

Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
    1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
        b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
    5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
How to Clean Install OS X Yosemite
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible

  • HT1444 how to migrate from yosemite beta to full vesion

    Hi
how to migrate from yosemite beta to full vesion

When I look in "about this mac" - it says Yosemite 10.10. Do I really need to download it again?
I found on a blog that someone contacted the Apple service:
“simply install the final version of the software you are testing when it appears in Software Update” – that means the final version of the beta software you are given to test is what will be made public. So we’re on the same build as what is now in the App Store.
My compute OSX is 10.10 but build is (14A388b) while some say that app store version is (build 14A389).
Does it really make a difference? If I don't download it will it continue to update?

You can't unless you have a current backup of your old Lion system because the first thing you must do is erase the drive. It 's possible to use Target Disk Mode between your iMac and the MBP in order to clone the MBP to the iMac. However, that will still erase everything on the iMac's drive.
Or you could see about getting Yosemite to work correctly. If you have IMAP mail, then your mail should be intact.

  • How can I install Yosemite without a landline?

My only Internet connection is by wireless, with a basic budget of 10GB/month (of which I currently only have ca. 40MB left this month). I am therefore looking for some method of installing Yosemite without using my own link. I would like to download Yosemite to a USB Flash Drive at a friend's house where a better broadband connection is available and then use that to get the OS onto my iMac. However, on the Web I can only find descriptions of how to get the Yosemite installer onto a USB stick and am not clear whether that is all I need or whether the installer then downloads the bulk of the Yosemite data.
Can anyone clarify whether the installer would be all I need or please tell me what I have to do to download Yosemite away from home.
    Thanks for any help.

    That is all you need.

  • How to set up Yosemite 10.10.1 to print and scan using CANON PIXMA MP780 (on MacBook Pro). Thanks. Bozdogan

How to set up Yosemite 10.10.1 to print and scan using CANON PIXMA MP780 on MacBook Pro (Pre-Yosemite operating system OS X10.6.8)?
Yosemite 10.10.1 doesn't seem to support MP780. Also, CANON doesn't have a driver for Yosemite 10.10.1 for its MP 780 series.
    Thanks. Bozdogan  (at [email protected])

I believe you should be able to print wirelessly using your MBP and printer. However, you will want to visit the Canon home site and download the current drivers and firmware for your printer. Once you've done this, I hope you'll post back with your results.

You're going to need both drivers and firmware.

  • How do I keep yosemite from trying to install?

My iPad 2 was rendered unusable by an Apple upgrade. I can't afford to have all of my business shut down as well. How do I keep yosemite from trying to install on my office computers?

Yosemite must be downloaded, you must deliberately do that, and then you must tell the installer to Continue to do the install...and then you must allow it to restart to do the install.  Multiple levels of intervention exist.
A Mac OS X version does not auto-download and install unless you have the App Store in System Preferences checked to allow that.
Make sure the auto-install is unchecked in System Preferences > App Store:
