Instead, use a colorbox indicator made to look like an LED and use the value as the data. Now you can do any color you want!

How do the User and Shared Folders relate to the main drive? Can we delete?

I'm curious how the User and Shared folders relate to the main hard drive and if there is duplicate files in these folders and the main hard drive. Some software programs I have seemed to have loaded content/info into these folders and I'm wondering why they put files in there instead of just the regular main hard drive pathing. These 2 folders are more confusing than anything. I can see that might be of use to a family and each family member wants to keep files in a personal file, but when I'm the only one using my computer, it seems like I should have the option to remove these folders completely, but I don't because I feel like I would be deleting some important files that I wasn't aware were in these folders.
Another thing is, when I click on User folders (at least I think it's the User and not Shared folder), it brings up my name and 'Shared' in 2 seperate subfolders. Is anything in these folders duplicates of what's on my main hard drive? Is there anything significant about these folders if I'm the only user on my computer?
I would nice to get rid of clutter and to eliminate options for software to install things by deleting these folders and not have home/user/shared folders. Is that possible?

They are not aliases; it is a hierarchy, and there is intentional duplication at different levels. This is a feature.
First thing is that Users and Shared are at different levels. Users is at the top level, but Shared is one level inside Users, at the same level as any other user account you have created.
Therefore, if you delete the Users folder, you delete all user accounts, which means you delete all personal data. OS X probably won't even let you delete the Users folder unless you start up from a different hard drive, because you can't delete your user account while you are running in it.
Now, more about the hierarchy. The intentional duplication is so that documents and software can exist for individual users or all users. For example, there are multiple Applications folders:
Hard Drive\Applications - applications any user can see, installed at the system level
Hard Drive\Users\username1\Applications = applications only that user can see
Hard Drive\Users\username2\Applications = applications only that user can see
In the same way, there are multiple Preferences, Cookies, Application Support, etc. folders at different levels, for the same reasons.
If you do not know what you are doing and you delete one of these folders that "looks like a duplicate" you could cripple some essential part of your system or your account. That is why people are telling you not to do this.
The Shared folder is there because if you are in one user account you are prevented from seeing the files inside other user accounts. (Because you don't want other accounts to be able to see your personal data.) If you want to share files with others in your house using the same Mac, that's a problem. But the Shared folder solves this. if you want some files to be accessible to all users, like some photos or music, just put them in the Shared folder and now anyone with an account on that computer can see those shared files.
The reason shared files are not simply stored at the top level is because everything above the Users folder is supposed to be reserved for the system. User-specific are supposed to stay in the Users folder. That is why they put the Shared folder in there.
If you are not using the Shared folder and are just eyeing it because you want to free up some disk space, well, it probably won't help to delete it. Because if you are not using the Shared folder, it is probably not taking up much space, even though you see stuff in there. And if there is stuff in there taking up space, first figure out if someone put it there for a reason before you delete it.

I activated an iPad for a work associate; somehow, MY Apple ID account is assigned to his iPad's iCloud backup. His iPad is using up all MY iCloud space... he IS set up in App Store with his own Apple ID.
On my own iPad (just to check out what settings/options were), i went to "Settings/iCloud: and tapped "Delete Acct". BUT, then I got a message that all Photo Stream and documents stored in iCloud would be deleted from this iPad... so, two questions...
is there ANY way for him to retrieve the documents he saved in MY iCloud account (there's 9.1g worth of HIS backup in my account!! ... i purchased extra space before i realized it was being eaten up by him and not mine).
Because he'd be logging back in under his OWN ID which had never backed up his device before......so, he'll lose everything, right?
Really need someone who KNOWS apple iOS/Cloud workings to answer this one please ... much (at least some, lol) of his data is work-related.... at 9gig, can't be all work!! must be a lot of movies, photo's and music i'd guess. as this is a WORK-issued device, so be it if he has to re-load all that................

How to relate dispute case for a AR document

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to change the reason code change date of dispute case(DIspute management) for the related AR document.
Basically i am posting a AR document through BAPI. Now i wanted to take the last dunned date(MADAT) and find the related dispute case after that change the reason code change date using last dunned date.
so my question how to relate relevent dispute case for the AR document?

If yours in a MacBook Pro notebook computer, the usual way is to buy or borrow an external enclosure to do the transfer from a perfectly-working drive inside your MacBook to the new drive mounted in the enclosure.
If your internal drive has failed, other methods may be needed.
If you do not already have at least one external enclosure, you should buy one to use for your Backup Drive. If money is short, you could borrow the enclosure your backup drive is in (in most cases) for this transfer.

Because that's the way you setup your account. Whether the app is free or not is irelevent, apparently the payment method you selected when originally setting up your account is no longer valid, hence your account is not longer valid. Either fix your selected payment method or setup a new app store account without a credit card:

As I already said in my first reply post, you cannot turn off the iMac's display. The best you can do is display black, which many applications that have a +full screen+ mode will do, if the full screen mode is on the other display.
Alternately, you can move the menu bar (along with Dock and disk icons) from the iMac's screen to the second display. This is done in System Preferences Displays pane Arrangement tab, by dragging the white bar in the diagram from one screen to the other. Once the menu bar and other features are on the second display, the only thing showing on the iMac's display should be the Desktop background. If you pick a Desktop background that is all black, your iMac's display will be showing a black screen (although it will still not be turned off).

I am trying to troubleshoot slow performance of a query in BIA.
It spends more than 250 secs on DB (BIA). How to relate STEPUID/DMUID in RSDDSTAT_DM to STATUID in RSDDSTATTREXSERV. I can get StepUid and DMUID from the query statistics.
I know that I can get DataManager UID by executing the query in rsrt and then go to RSDDSTATTREXSERV. But I want to see the BIA statistics for query executions by the end users.
Is DMUID in RSDDSTAT_DM same as STATUID in RSDDSTATTREXSERV?
I assume that all the queries that hit BIA have an entry in RSDDSTATTREXSERV.

We have changed the huge dimension to line item dimension. Also changed the reorg multiplier to 0.25 so now every blade has one part and total there are 15 parts. But the query performance is still VERY poor. Query spends 30+ seconds in BIA even when this is the only query running in the system.
You can imagine that when this (and similar) queries are run under some load, the runitmes go as high as 250 secs. this is effecting performance of other cubes as well. Also, with BIA mimimum runtime of any query on this cube is 30 sec. With aggregates, some queries return in less than 10secs.
Our BIA is sized as per SAP recommendations. Size of the indexes does not exceed 50 % of the total available phyical memory.
Any inputs welcome.

Update: We applied the note you suggested. No huge gains.
Also, we have now upgraded to Rev 49. Runtimes are still over 25 secs (DB time) for all the queries on this cube which is obviously unacceptable.

How to relate data of tables returned by FM for reading data from ST03N

Hello,
I am using the FM SWNC_COLLECTOR_GET_AGGREGATES to retrieve data displayed in T-Code ST03N into my report.
I am able to get the required data in different tables like Times, Memory, Usertcode, Userworkload, Hitlist_database.
However I am unable to undertand how to relate the data of these different tables, prepare another internal table with only the fields that are required for my report and then display those details.
Like, I want to loop through one of these internal tables, read data from other internal tables and consolidate my required data. But I am unable to understand based on what criteria I can read other internal tables inside a loop of any one of the above said internal tables.
I searched a lot and found many threads and blogs related to ST03N and learnt a lot about this T-code. But I could not find how to relate the data of all these tables.

I see the common fields like TaskType, EntryId. But, I want to make sure that these are the fields that are enough to read the records or is there any other way that I can be sure that I am getting the correct record in my read statement. So my question is specific to the tables returned from the FM SWNC_COLLECTOR_GET_AGGREGATES and not a generic one.

I don't want to pass argument from command prompt.
I want to try something like this -

In Fun class main method does not take arguments that is fine. In Test class instead of main method you can have constructor to take input parameters as suggested by BalusC
However, if you want to make your existing code work, you can call (though not appropriate) main() method of Test class from main() method of Fun class (As main() method is static object is not required to invoke this):
Test.main(new String[]{"Hello","good bye"});Here is your code:

Account Segmentation: How to relate OACT.Segment_* to OASC (OASG)?

Hello,
I'm learning SAP B1 and i'm trying to understand segmented account code information.
I understand that a segmented account code looks like: 12100000-01-001-01
where
12100000 is the natural account
01 is a division
001 is a region
and the last 01 is a department.
I assume that the account code above is the concatenation of OACT.Segment_* fields separated with dashes (-).
Is there a relationship between OACT.Segment_* and OASC (account Segmentation categories) or OASG (Account Segmentation)?
How can I tell that 01 is a division code and it's not a department code?
It's seems like the key field for OASC is the combination of SegmentId (OASG) and Code. If OACT.Segment_* are mapped to OASG.Code then where can I get SegmentId which is the other key for OASC?

I'm sorry I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by: "Segment accounts are starting with _SYS by unique id".
What would a FORMATCODE for a segmented account code like 12100000-01-0001-01 look like? Please show an example using _SYS and a unique id that you mentioned.
I'm sorry my sample database does not have any segment data. I'm trying to understand how to relate segment informtation, but I do not know how I can go from, possibly, FORMATCODE to OASC or OASG.
