How to release transports ?

I have done some configuration and customization. Our basis person told me to release the transports so as to apply new patches. How to release transports? What is the tcode and process? CRM 4.0 - SAPGui

 Run SE10.
 Click the Task which is still in the said state(in process)...
 Next to the Release Button on the Tool Bar, u can see the TRANSPORT Logs button. Click that, you will more information about the running Task...
I agree with the other post that recommends to take BASIS help on this !!!
Taking a help from Basis will always help you in future !!!

Hi,
1) first u r collected objects should be in transportable package(not in $TMP)
then u check in SE09 which are the objects u r collected those things are avilable in that request or not if not there once again u should collect before transport and check that request if any locks are there if there release in SE03
2) now in SE09 first u relase the task(subordinated one) then release the request.and u can see that request in imported server in tcode of STMS.

Hi,
Use transaction SE09. Here select "modifiable" .Then click -Display.
Now you get a list of all requests which can be released.
Locate your request number and drill down. Release the sub-request first and then the main request by selecting and using the "transport" icon.

Hi,
Go to SE09..
Give your user name..Press enter..It will display all the CRs..
Place the cursor on the task of the CR you want to release..
Press the transport button (F9)..
Do the same for all the tasks..
Then place cursor on the CR..
Press the transport button (F9).
Now the CR is released...
You can basis team to import the CR to quality system using the transaction STMS.

How to delete released transport request

Gurus,
We are doing a system synchronization and for that we are going to make a system copy from BWP TO BWD. Hence I am told to delete all modifiable transport requests, which I did without any problem.
But in BWQ there are some transports which are already released and how I can delete them. They don't show under modifiable transports , rather they show under released transports.
(For your information in my company any transport released from BWQ does not automatically go to production, we have to send a manual e mail request with the transport # to basis. Therefore these transports even though they show released they will never make it to production as I have never sent release request to basis and these transport are of no use any ways.
So please guide me how to delete these released transports in BWQ.

Hi MK,
Goto Import queue of target system(T Code: STMS) and delete(Shift+F2) from import queue. or from menu --> Request --> Delete.
In this way it only deletes from import queue.

How to release a Transport Request at operating system level. Please specify the complete commands along with the pf parameters for TP Export only.......

tp export <request>
This exports the complete request from the source system. This command starts the export of a request from the operating system level. Only use this command in exceptional cases. The SAP System uses the command expwbo to release requests from CTS transactions
tp cleanbuffer <sapsid>
This deletes successfully imported change requests from the list of requests that are marked for import into the SAP System <SAPSID>. This function is contained in the commands tp import all <sapsid> and tp put <sapsid> .
tp delfrombuffer <request> <sapsid>
If the specified request is marked for import into the specified SAP System, this flag is deleted from the import list.

i have released a TR and it was cancelled bcos my system is very slow.
Once the system is up,i was tried to release the TR.But i am not able to release it.

Hi Vijay,
Check the status of TR in SE01...check if you can find some relevant logs...
If you are not able to get any information from logs..
Create new Transport Request of type "Transport of copies" and include your TR in this request. Try releasing Transport of copies.
If this also does not work...
1. Copy all object along with their object type names etc...(You can do this by double clicking on TR and copy all objects from OBJECTS tab).
2. Delete all objects from current TR .(place cursor on individual object in TR and press Delete button).
3. Create new workbench Request, double click on request, goto objects TAB and copy paste all the objects which you have copied in notepad in step 1.
4. Save this TR and release it.

How to get creation date of a released transport??

Hi Guys!!
I need to get the creation date of a released transport. Before the transport is released this date is stored in table E070CREATE; but once it is released the record from this table is removed. Does anyone have any idea is there a table in SAP where I can pick up the creation date from?
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Sandip,
The creatin date is overwritten in the same field E070-AS4DATE along with time E070-AS4TIME and E070-TRSTATUS in table E070.

Error while releasing Transport request number

Hi Friends,
Whenever i release the Transport request from SE01 i am getting the following error. Please view the attached image . Could you please explain about that error ? and how can i prevent it in future ?

At starting it shows warning like " Your object contains error continue or cancel " but if i proceed with continue after completion of the releasing process it shows (0) successfully completed but not with an error message. As Krishna Chaitanya said i might have used any dependent object. by reading all of your answer i could understand that this is not sever problem. But i would like to understand this process very clearly . All i want to know is
how to release the request without any inconsistencies?
and which is the best way, ?
is there any requisition before i initiate releasing ?

You can use R3TR TABU to manually set the tables into a Customizing request (as of Release 46, into a SYST-type request).

ChaRM: Release transport Error

Hi Team,
I have configured ChaRM in my Sol Man system (EHP1, SP24). When i try to release the transport request in Sol Man, i ma getting below error:
Error RFC destination SM_GDDCLNT300_TMW: Screen output without connection to user.
In SM59, both connection test & Authorization test is OK.

If i execute this RFC in SM59 (Connection Test & Authorization Test) in Sol Man system, it is OK. But when i try to release the transport request thro Sol MAn using the action "Release Transport Request", i am seeing this error in task list.
How this RFC can fail during transport request release, even it is working SM59?

Releasing transport requests with job roles take forever after upgrading to Netweaver 7

Dear experts,
Some time ago we've out SAP ECC 5 system to ECC 6. Since then, it takes a very long time to release transport requests containing job roles.
For example, a request containing 154 job roles (1 template and 153 derived roles) took 4 hours to release in our DEV system. Before the upgrade this only took a couple of minutes.
Afterwards, the import in our QAS and PRD system don't take longer than normal.
Apparently this time is taken by the Export phase:

Hello Nicolas,
What I understood from your description is that ,it takes very long time to release the job. Once it is released, execution does not take much time.
To me it seems to be background job/work process issue. Maybe all the background work process are busy to execute current jobs and no free work process available for the jobs which are in the queue. In that case, if possible try to increase number of bg work processes.
Check for any performance issues during that period. Check if there is any locking issue and jobs are stuck because of that.
