How to remember login password on a computer

Happy new year to all of you...
I had made a application which uses login and password for authentication..this is working fine..Now i want to give one option to remember the login and password for the specific computer..actually i dont have any idea on it..Plz give me some suggestion to solve this problem..i have used jsp for front end with struts framework..

This isn't hack safe. If one would hijack another user login, one could just change the username in the cookie value.
Better create a cookie with a long and autogenerated key or hash and store the key in a DB along the User ID. This makes the guessing for keys of another users hard. You can find here an example: [http://balusc.blogspot.com/2007/03/user-session-filter.html].

I don 't remember my password for this computer (it's a laptop I haven't used in a long time). How do I reset my password?

This is a second computer for me that my nephew set up for me. I hardly used it after he set it up for me and now that I have Wi Fi, I'm using it again, but neither of us remembers the password he set up for me, and I have to continually sign in as a guest and then re-sign into email, etc, as nothing is saved. I need to know how to reset my password. When I try to reset it, it asks for my original password, which, again, I don't remember!

This question is not related to Firefox. I would suggest that depending on what operation system you have, you go to their website and look at support, or just google it.

I have an iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2010) running OS 10.10.1 I was interrupted when changing our login password and can't remember new one I chose. The choice of use apple id to change password is greyed out. I am both admin and user. How can I set a new log in, previously Utilites with software install could be used.

OS X 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks and 10.10 Yosemite
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box under “Select user account”.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

I don't know what I have done wrong. Each time I close the browser, I need to login again. In other forums, there is a checkbox "Remember login info" (or something like that). What should I do to make Firefox 3.01 (on WinXP SP3) to remember my login info on forums.oracle.com?

Of course I allow cookies, and my browser works OK with other forums. This forum remember my login status but forget it a little while after.
Thanks "SomeoneElse" for pointing me to the right thread discussing this issue. Although I make the question as answered but I am NOT satisfied. I would still prefer to have a checkbox to give me the choice of remembering the login info.
To the designer of the forum: so I assume the decision to force the login periodically is to enforce the security? If you ask people all the time the login, what would they do? I bet you most of them will use weak password.

Safari Won't Remember Login + Passwords

Safari just won't remember login names and passwords for sites! Even though I fill in the info and check the box that asks to remember, it does not.
BTW, it works fine on my main user setup, but not on a secondary user.
I have deleted the Safari .plist preference files, the keychain access .plist files and deleted files within the Keychain Access application and restarted the machine. Problem still exists.
Can anyone help?

Before I delete any of the suggested files, will I have to re-enter my log in names and passwords?
Usually when Safari has a memory lapse, it doesn't recall both log in name and password. When I attempted to log in to this forum today, Safari remembered my log in name, but not my password. Is there an option for Safari or keychain to remember only log in names, but not passwords?
Safari will usually prompt me to add log in name and password the first time I create it for a new site, but not always. It didn't do this when I re-entered it today, but after I logged out, it allowed me to log back in without requesting log in or password.

I forgot the login password for my computer :S

i have a brand new intel iMac, BRAND NEW... osx10.4.10, and i set up the password so my sister couldn't get into it, and kinda forgot it i dont have the original disks that came with the computer(moved) and cant find them, but would love to get into it(bought it for school... anyways if anyone can help, greatly apreciated :D)

Basically, you hold down the command-s key when powering on. The command key has a little apple symbol on the lower left. It is between the alt/option key and the space bar. On a PC keyboard, it will be the windows key, I think.

If you're talking about your lock screen passcode, you can't "change it on the computer". You have to restore the phone.

I recently backup up my entire computer than did a factory reset. When I restored everything it did not return the mozilla saved bookmarks or passwords. I was able to find and restore the bookmarks but have not been able to restore the passwords. I am looking for a solution to finding and storing, copying, or printing out the list of passwords in the back up copy.

How do I login to a Windows computer that is NOT on a domain.

I'm writing a server side web app and I want to validate the client's credentials against those of the Windows server that is not on the domain.
If the server is on the domain, I can use Java JAAS + Kerberos stuff. However, if the server is not on any domain, and I want to try to validate a local Windows login, how do I do that? Can I use Kerberos or do I need to use something else?
