How-To:remote keynote using dualshock 3 controller

Hi everyone,
This is my last presentation in form 6, so I want to be a little bit special,
I want to use my ps3 dualshock as a remote for keynote slide on my mac, anybody know how to do?
My mac is mid 2012 15 inch so it has a infrared ray connection as anoption, but I never have a change to use it because I never buy the expensive apple remote, but does this mean I can use whatever has infrared red light remote to control my mac, example like the fan remote ? By some special app?
If using dualshock or infrared ray remote can't be happen, how about using my android smartphone , any simple way?
(Declaration: I know u can use iPhone, but I never have it...)

No, the IR transmitter must be programmed with the specific codes required for the Mac IR reciever.

How to stop flashing lights using Playstation DualShock 3 controller in Mavericks?

Mavericks allows the Playstation DualShock 3 controller to pair via Bluetooth very quickly, however the lights on the controller keep flashing like the controller is still in pairing mode. The controls work fine, but I worry that the flashing lights will drain the controller battery.
Does anyone have experience with this? I bought the controller specficially because I read that Mavericks supported the controller.
I'm using a 15" rMBP late 2013.

I recently purchased and paired the DualShock 3 to Mavericks 10.9.5. I'm having the exact same experience as Brian noted above: it works great, but the 4 lights blink continuously. If anyone has any thoughts or Brian if you every found a solution to this, I'd appreciate the input.

How can I access a database remote without using dblink, synonyms,aliases?

My store procedure access a remote tables using dblink, synonyms, alias, but by business company requirenments I nedd to use another data base access method. My PL/SQL statement looks like

If you want to access a table in a remote database using SQL, you will need a database link. It would be exceptionally odd for the business to require that you access a remote database and to prohibit the use of database links. What is the business reason for that combination?
If you want to look into rather more esoteric solutions, you could load a JDBC driver for the remote database, write a Java stored procedure that queries the remote table using that JDBC driver, and then cobble together some PL/SQL that joins the two result sets. You won't be able to reference the remote table in SQL and the solution won't scale well as data volumes increase and you'll be writing a whole lot of code to manually join tables together, but it does avoid database links. Of course, whatever concerns lead to the ban on database links would probably apply to loading a JDBC driver into the database and writing Java stored procedures to access the remote database, but since you haven't explained the reasoning behind the restrictions, we're just guessing.

I have exactly the same problem.
I'm a little peed-off with Microsoft on this. The original wireless controller I have doesn't work either since the cable I'm using is 'just' the charge and play cable, so a direct connection to my Mac won't work with this cable. It's a cable for god's sake. Why on EARTH put any limitations on this!?!?
Next I learn I need an additional USB wireless receiver from Microsoft to get my original 360 controller to talk to my Mac. As I certainly don't want to fork any more microsoft dollars on this, this is not an option.
Next I think, yes! I have a MadCatz 360 wired USB controller. This should surely do the trick just plugging it in and the way I go. But oh no, for some reason I plug my MadCatz Xbox360 controller in, it flashes a few times then switches off and can't be turned on again.
The System Profiles recognizes it as a MadCatz 360 device controller but that is about it, but the ontroller software I download for the System Prefs (360Controller, USBOverdrive etc) don't even recognize the controller as being plugged in.
What the **** Is The Microsoft Deal with all of this!?!?
PS: Oh, and I forgot to mention, there are No drivers for device 4716 that I can find on the MadCatz website, or am I going blind?

Sounds like you are not in Mountain Lion and have updated to Pages 5 on Mavericks.
Images in cells ahs been removed by Apple along with over 90 other features in Pages 5.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

If i click RB2 i should prompt "Enter value for MTI2" while submitting page.
Please let me know the steps to use JavaScript and the above client validation...

Using javascript is against the standard. I can tell you a workaround instead of you setting the javascript, check if that would be acceptable.
You can use PPR and set the required property on the messageTextInput on clicking of the radio button. By doing this you will let UIX generate the javascript for you to handle the client side validation. But the validation will happen only on click of the submit button. The visual indicator is good enough to tell that the value has to be entered to the item.

Now i want my war to be deploy remotely on weblogic server.
Is there any inbuld functionality provided by jdeveloper for same.
Can any one please share build.xml for adf application for deploying application remotely.
I try to use wlserver but not much success.

How to find which devices are still using affected domain controller

We have a 5 Domain controller's in a Site. And we are going to decommisson one of our affected DC in a site.
Can you please let me know how to find the log files to see which devices are still using this domain controller.

Neel,
From strictly an Active Directory perspective, there is nothing special you need to do to decommission a domain controller in a site. There are many processes that automatically balance out and recreate connections as needed without any user intervention.
The DC Locator process will automatically direct clients to active domain controllers, there is nothing you need to do here.
What you need to be concerned with are things like the following:
DNS - Are you running AD integrated DNS and is the DC you are decommissioning hosting that roll - if so, is it the ONLY DC in the
site that is running DNS? You'll need at least one in the site.
DHCP server - Is the DC you are demoting a DHCP server? You'll need to account for that.
Global Catalog - Is the DC you are demoting a Global Catalog server? You'll need at least one in the site.
File Shares - Is the DC hosting any files shares? You'll need to move those and make sure you redirect your clients.
Was this DC a set as a Preferred Bridgehead Server? You'll need to undo that first.
Those are the big ones that come to mind. Decommissioning a DC is easy if you have prepared properly. The others that have replied have offered some great advice which you should follow. Do your homework and you should be fine.

I have just applied the new Time Capsule 7.6.1 firmware that supposedly enables remote access to the drive via iCloud. However, how precise would this work?
I have read several other threads here and elsewhere but they either explain how to do this using MobileMe or DynDNS.

Really pretty simple. That's if you've got the Time Capsule and your Computer set up correctly.
Time Capsule setup:
1.    Open Airport Utility
1a. Open Time Capsule Base Station tab
1b. Put iCloud NAME in "Back to My Mac"
1c. Enter Password, then wait for activation (less than 1 minute normally)
1d. Open Time Capsule Disks tab
1e. Check mark "Enable file sharing"
1f.   Check mark "Share disk over WAN"
1h. Password self explanitory
Computer (Mac)
1.   Open iCloud in System Preferences
2.   Put a check mark on "Back to My Mac", wait for actication (less than 1 minute normally)
Connecting to Time Capsule Disk from you HOME network or outside your home network ((INTERNET))
In order to connect to Time Capsule Disk off your local (home) network you must have an internet connection, if you do then do this:
1. Open Finder
2. In Finder open Shared if collapsed and double click on your Time Capsule name.
3. Double click your Time Capsule, enter password (if you required).
4. Once connected to your Time Capsule double click on your Disk to mount it enter password (if your required).
5. Done, remember the connection speed is dependent on your internet quality (broadband vs dial-up).

Unfortunately there is no way to remotely control the power line of the PXIe-1078. Though the PXIe-1078 has a DIP switch on its backplane this only toggles the control of the Power from the Controller to the Backplane. With this you may be able to mimic a power on sequence but that is unsupported.

Problem is this statement does not execute, as when I try it directly on command line, it requests for a password. Any suggestions on how I can get rid of that? I think I might have to configure my ssh_config file, but when I did some "Googling", I found the configuration settings of a ssh2_config file. I tried those (changing it to Host-based Authentication), but it didn't recognise them. Please help, this is so urgent!

UIX/JSP - How to use the UIX Controller with UIX/JSP

After reading the UIX Developers Guide I am under the impression that I could use the UIX Controller with UIX/JSP pages. Is this correct and are there any available examples?

It's correct, but I'm afraid we don't have much (read as "any")
documentation on how to do that - besides reading through the
gobs of Javadoc and guessing how to put it together.
Half of the problem is solved by registering JspPageDescriptions
on a PageBroker (e.g., UIXPageBroker) to tell the UIX Controller
to use a JSP to render a particular page, instead of a UIX XML
document.
The other half is getting the JSP to send requests back to
the UIX Controller. Depending on how you've chosen to name
your pages, create either a DefaultPageEncoder or ExtensionPageEncoder
inside your JSP, and use that to create destination URLs.
