  • How to connect to Visual Administrator?

    Hi all!
I want to connect to visual administrator to configure BI JDBC Connector.
However the problem is that i don't know how to launch the Visual administrator.
On the step by step document, it's said that VA can be launched using the file "C:\usr\sap\(sid)\jc00\j2ee\admin\go.bat" but i think it isn't installed on the computer.
So may i have an advice or a way of installing it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.
    Lahoucine

    Hi Lahoucine,
have you installed the BI Java components? If not, then there is no Visual Administrator on your server...
If yes, it is located in the folder as you descibed depending on the drive you installes the system (c: or D: or...), the <SID> which is the three-letter SystemID of your SAP system and the folder JCXX where XX is anumber between 00 and 99 (corresponding to the system number of your SAP System).

  • How to create a backend administrator content management system?

How to create a backend administrator content management system using SQLyog515 and JSP only.

    Have a look at Perch
Perch - The really little content management system (CMS) - Perch
It requires a php/mysql database to run but the tables and set up are all automated through the Perch set up files - you just need a server that runs php/mysql. It works on the same principals as the one Ben suggested but its a lot cheaper for a one off site - however if you intend to build more CMS driven sites the one Ben suggested might be more financially viable in the long run.
The nice thing about Perch CMS is it fits in with your workflow unlike Wordpress/Joomla where you have to jump through hoops to change anything.
Plus I think you can take Perch for a spin before buying (or at least you could when I was exploring CMSs) - you can't with Power CMS. I never investigated Power CMS beacuse I would not buy something before trying it. It looks good but it might be a bit dated as it doesnt seem to be in continuous develoment. Perch is in a constant state of development and the guys are working to make it better on a daily basis.

  • Access visual administrator from the desktop

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to access the visual administrator of the XI server from a PC in the network by downloading the go.bat file from the marketplace?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You need Xterm/X-windows to access Visual Admin of your remote server with in the network.
I think we can access the PI server,by just download the go.bat file from service market place..

  • J2EE_Admin cannot access Visual Administrator

I hope all you gurus are doing well.
OK, so here is the issue, I am trying to configure Adobe Froms on one of our SAP systems. Part of the installation requiers me to access Visual Admin. I am able to access VA using the emergency user but I cannot make any changes to the settings. I am NOT able to access the VA using J2EE_ADMIN or any other user. I keep on getting the following error:
Caller Visual_Admin not authorized, only role administrators is allowed to access JMX
When I initially encountered the error I accessed VA using SAP* and there was no Administrators group. So I created the group but I am not sure if that made any difference. I've checked the roles in SAP and J2EE_ADMIN has the SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role assigned to it.
I have also created other users and assigned the SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role to them but it still is not working.
Other than that is there anything that needs to be done within VA to add certain privilages to a Group?
How do I create the Administrators group?
Is SAP* limited to what it can do in VA?

    Hi Glen
This forum is for Java EE 5 - which means that it's focused on NetWeaver 7.1 and up. These versions do not have Visual Administrator anymore. I think the default administrator is also now called "Administrator" (not "J2EE_Admin" anymore) - but I could be wrong on this last point.
Please could you clarify which version of NW you're using?
    Thanks
    Stuart

  • How to remotely access Time Capsule using iCloud and firmware 7.6.1?

I have just applied the new Time Capsule 7.6.1 firmware that supposedly enables remote access to the drive via iCloud. However, how precise would this work?
I have read several other threads here and elsewhere but they either explain how to do this using MobileMe or DynDNS.
How precisely does iCloud now translate my internal IP to an external one and where do I access my drive in OSX when on the road?

Really pretty simple.  That's if you've got the Time Capsule and your Computer set up correctly.
    Time Capsule setup:
    1.    Open Airport Utility
1a.  Open Time Capsule Base Station tab
1b.  Put iCloud NAME in "Back to My Mac"
1c.  Enter Password, then wait for activation (less than 1 minute normally)
1d.  Open Time Capsule Disks tab
1e.  Check mark "Enable file sharing"
1f.   Check mark "Share disk over WAN"
    1h.  Password self explanitory
    Computer (Mac)
    1.   Open iCloud in System Preferences
    2.   Put a check mark on "Back to My Mac", wait for actication (less than 1 minute normally)
Connecting to Time Capsule Disk from you HOME network or outside your home network ((INTERNET))
In order to connect to Time Capsule Disk off your local (home) network you must have an internet connection, if you do then do this:
    1.  Open Finder
    2.  In Finder open Shared if collapsed and double click on your Time Capsule name.
    3.  Double click your Time Capsule, enter password (if you required).
    4.  Once connected to your Time Capsule double click on your Disk to mount it enter password (if your required).
    5.  Done,  remember the connection speed is dependent on your internet quality (broadband vs dial-up).

  • Error in logging using "Default" account to access visual administrator

    Dear experts,
i had encountered the following error message when i tried to login to Visual Administrator using go.bat using default.
Unable to look up connection Default
http://L31021:8108/msgserver/text/logon returned empty list of connection parameters
and when i tried using another account and direct connect to a dispatcher node, they say error while connecting.
please give me advice on how to solve the problem.
thank you for the attention given and time.
    with thanks,
    kejun

    Hello Tan,
The error from the first type of connection indicates that the message server list of registered nodes was empty. The list is empty when the server and the dispatcher nodes are not running or using different message server.
First check in the dev_server0 and dev_dispatcher files in the work directory that they are connection to the same message server. Then in std_server0.out and std_dispatcher.out try to find why the server and the dispatcher nodes didnu2019t register in the message server. Also check the default trace files of both nodes.

  • How to remote access a pc from a mac using dyndns?

    Hi
I am wanting to use my Mac to remotely log into my home pc (windows) I use to us windows remote access from my old laptop using a dyndns. But now having a mac I don't know how to access it. I tried the Microsoft remote access app for mac but couldn't get it to work? I don't understand the settings this required and couldn't find instructions online for setting it up
    Thanks in advance

Yes this is possible. Use the Windows XP "remote desktop" feature, and the "Remote Desktop Connection Client" for MacOS X provided by Microsoft.
You can also use the free versions of VNC, which also allows cross-platform desktop remote control. See http://old.realvnc.com/support-free.html

  • [SOLVED] Remote Access to a home Arch system behind the router.

    Hello,
I am trying to remotely access my home Arch system from school. I did try doing something and this is what I did:
    1. Used DynDns and NO-IP to setup a free domain, I thought NO-IP script was easy to run so I tested this on NO-IP.
    2. I then installed Openssh.
    3. Then I have setup the Port forwarding on the router to point to my ssh port (change from 22).
    4. I tried to ping, the domain name from NO-IP with no response.
What I want to ask is... is there any better way of doing this?
I dont need a desktop access, simple ssh should do for now.
    Thank You
    Gopi

OK, I have solved this by this process. Will work only if the router supports the DynDNS. I am assuming that you have created a DynDNS account, its free for 2 domains. I also had to make my computer use STATIC IP from my router, just specify any IP address outside the DHCP range.
    1. On the router, add the details about the DynDNS account. On my Belkin Router, I had to go to Firewall -> DDNS -> DynDNS and give the details and also enable it.
    2. By doing the above step, we don't have to install the client for DynDNS.
    3. On the router again, setup the port forwarding, again (on my Belkin Router) go to Firewall -> Virtual Servers -> Add the IP and the port numbers, I had to use the same number for both the incoming and the private port, though for other routers the number can differ?
    4. On the computer, I installed the openssh and then changed the login port to the one specified in the router for forwarding.
    5. Make the router and ssh logins as safe as possible. I understand that opening the router is not safe so I have to warn you.
I can now login using my DynDNS domain name from anywhere woohoo!

  • How to use "access control - administrator" in SQL

I have a report with checkboxes to select records for delete. Non administrators can only delete a subset of the records. So for some of the records I would like to hide the checkbox if the user is not an administrator. The checkboxes are created in the select statement.
I would like to know if there is a function that I can use in SQL that will tell me if the current user is administrator or not. I'm using the access control list.

Just found the apex_access_control table in my schema.
    Guess I'll just use that.

  • How to remotely access an Oracle Database?

    hey,
I have Oracle XE installed on my WinXP desktop and can run queries on it using SQL*plus locally. Now, as I'm spending more time on my WinXP laptop, I want to be able to access the DB I have running on my desktop.
However, I don't have the slightest idea where to start or how to do it.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

Depending on the Desktop Oracle version you can try using Easy Connect method
    username/password@<hostname>:<port>/<service name>
    for example
    C:\> sqlplus scott/tiger@desktop:1521/orcl
    or just
    C:\> sqlplus scott/tiger@desktop/orcl
If this doesn't work, then you have to configure a TNS alias in tnsnames.ora (in ORACLE_HOME\network\admin) : you can duplicate the XE entry, changing names as needed.

  • Multiple houses, multiple accounts, multiples DVRs--how to remote access

I have a PT vacation home which has fios--and a DVR. I have multiple accounts but to sign in to pay the bill etc, I use the same sign in to view the accounts...I can switch between accts online to view the bill etc.
*Once* a couple months ago, I went to use the remote DVR to record a football game and The Office for the coming weekend at the vacation home--what a beautiful thing! I am truly blessed! And it worked--I got to the vacation home and the football game was ready to record! And the Office was recorded! Yay!
But now, when I try to do the same thing (wanted to record a movie that is on tonight and watch it at vacation home later this weekend), all I see is my home DVR--not the vacation home DVR. And I see no way to switch between locations. Boooo!
Does anyone know if this is a problem verizon needs to address or if there is something I'm missing or if there is a work around for this problem? Thanks!

Two different DVRs on two different accounts at two different locations should have 2 sets of login info. So if you're logging in to the one acct and it brings up your home DVR, you're using the username associated to your home account.
You said you use the same .com login info to pay both bills.. so it sounds like the FiOS TV Central site is pulling your home account when you use that login there. I'd recommend trying your .net login info that is associated to the second account. However, if you don't have internet service there, you won't have a .net login.

I have it, but don't get on screen notifications. I get an annoying email that I should log into my voice mail.

I love the concept of visual voicemail, erikclaw!
Are you already subscribed to Visual Voicemail services? If so, follow these steps in order to get visual voicemail installed on your Nexus. If you haven't already subscribed to Visual Voicemail, you can also do that from the Nexus.
