How to remove "01. [song name]" recursively?

There are several questions in his community that treat the same issue, but I have a different circumstance. I used different software to rip CDs and the actual file name has the track numbers in it. How do I remove this without having to get info on each individual song? (on a related note, how come iTunes doesn't have some rudimentary options for batch renaming songs for the most common problems?)

If you use the "Keep..." option, found at Edit > Preferences > Advanced, iTunes will rename your files to the format "## Title" whenever it touches the file.
If that option is off, iTunes does not change the filename at all.
If you use a 3rd party program to rename your files, iTunes will lose them and you will have a mess.

I tried to transfer the songs from the ext. hdd, which is in Apple Lossless, to AAC iTunes and store them on my MacBook Pro, which has smaller hdd.
Without knowing what went wrong, now my "iTunes interface shows each of the songs that's on my ext. hdd(Apple Lossless) TWICE, but with only ONE copy of the actual songs(Apple Lossless)".
I was instructed to remove the "duplicated songs names from the inteface" and let the iTunes Library update itself.
But 5282 songs to "select & delect" the duplicated names in the interface is too "tedious".
So, is there any FASTER ways that can let me make my iTunes Library back to what it should be?

let me start by saying that i let iTunes manage my library, i.e. i have +keep iTunes media folder organized+ and +copy files to ... when adding to library+ checked in preferences > advanced. all that follows below is based on those settings being enabled !
i'm doing something similar. my Apple lossless files are stored on an external HD. i add these files to my library by *option dragging* them from the external into an open iTunes window. iTunes will index the path to the original's location (the external), but not physically add the files to the main library's drive.
with the external connected, i then have iTunes convert the lossless files to AAC 256, which are thus added to the main library.
i, too, have duplicate entries for those files: one being the lossless, the other being the AAC version.
there is no way around that, unless you manually remove the entries for the lossless files after the conversion.

i am quite happy with having duplicate, even triplicate entries in my library - i know how and why they are there. so, *... my iTunes Library back to what it should be* may be really quite different from one user to the next.

yes. again, you can *option drag* content from any location into iTunes without copying the actual files. since iTunes 9, there is also the +automatically add to iTunes+ folder - just drop content there and it will be added to the library. and there is alway the good old +add to library+ command under the file menu.
to start with a clean slate, launch iTunes while pressing option. @ the prompt, choose to +create new library+ and start populating the empty new library by whichever way you like. obviously, creating a new library means all your playlists, playcounts, and ratings will be gone.

The simplest thing may be to back-up and then restore the iPhone. If you don't fancy that then remove all media that is currently synced to it, then double check and manually remove any media that remains on the device, before reselecting your sync options.

Another option is use the normal BPM for 1: N message flow. The use a simple java mapping that will introduce a dynamic configuration and you can create the file name as you want. the java mapping will be used in the flow of messages from BPM to target system.

We renamed a Windows 2008 R2 x64 server.
We renamed it by running
netdom computername oldname /add:newname
netdom computername oldname /makeprimary:newname
netdom computername newname /remove:oldname

This was done in a staged manor over a couple of days with reboot's and other configuration changes to keep services up as much as possible while changing the server's name. From the point of view of active directory everything worked. The object in users and
computers has changed name, their is no reference to oldname in the AD Database (I spent hours searching in ADSIEdit) and the DNS records are correct. We have even checked the system name table with
C:\Windows\system32>netdom computername newname /enumerate:ALLNAMES
All of the names for the computer are:
newname.ourdomain.local
The command completed successfully.
and this shows the single new name :)
However.....
The server still responds over netbios to the oldname and the newname. We tracked this back by doing a network capture and proving that it was responding to the old name. After that we ran

It means no such thing. Your selection of songs to sync remains in iTunes regardless of what is currently on the device. After you delete the music from your device, connect it to iTunes, select it from devices:
Then select the Music tab, uncheck the few songs you no longer want on the device and resync.

The layoutset you are referring to is using the collection renderer LinkListCollectionRenderer. This defines the properties to be rendered for each resource, which in the standard are
"rnd:image,rnd:displayname(contentLink)"
Change this to
"rnd:image,rnd:displayname(contentLink/noTitle)".

I've consolidates my music in Itunes 11.01. Playlists are just getting crazy with duplicates.
I want to eliminate duplicate music files, as well as eliminate the references in the interface.
Then sync my new IPad.
When I manually erase a duplicate in Windows Explorer, I'm left with a "!" indication in Itunes that the file cannot be found... duh.
I want to find either an easier way to eliminate duplicates without Windows Explorer, or
a way to select all the "!" references in Itunes interface and delete.
Help please from a completely organized person who hates Apples "intelligence" at thinking it knows what I want, and not providing
adequate help under "remove duplicates" in its help index.

I would do it manually. As you can see from turingtest2's post, some duplicates are not really duplicates.
I would also review how you add media to iTunes. It should not be producing all that many duplicates.

Unfortunately, there is no way in Outlook to change or remove the name or message header which is being displayed at the top of a printed message. It is tied to the Display Name of your email account which you can’t modify yourself for an Exchange account.

I already tested below steps. After clicking Document Content Type every column is clickable except "Name" column.
Go to Document Library settings -> Advance settings -> Allow management of content types -> check the box
